The centre piece statue at this year's hotly anticipated Goodwood Festival of Speed has been revealed as this celebration of Alfa Romeo's 100th birthday in four-leaf clover form.
The statue features the beautiful 8C Competizione supercar, alongside the historic P2 racer surrounded buy Alfa's traditional cloverleaf. The P2 on the statue is the actual car that won the inaugral Grand Prix world championship in 1925, and is one of only two still in existence.
The enormous sculpture will take pride of place outside Goodwood
house throughout the weekend, which includes the new 'Moving Motor Show', and the traditional mix of rare historic cars and
celebrity stars that turn out for the Festival itself.
The
famous Italian marque will be bringing a priceless collection of its
heritage cars from its Milanese collection for the event, some of which
have never been seen in Britain. The firm’s new Giulietta hatch will
also make its public UK debut.
