The 2010 Concorso D’Eleganza Villa D’Este 2010 was headlined by a number of important new cars. The Zagato Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa vied for attention with Touring's Bentley Shooting Brake, as well as the Namir, ItalDesign's arresting new Frazer-Nash.
Without doubt, the classics outshone the new metal – and as befitting in Alfa Romeo's centenary, the highlight of the show was the TZ2 in original condition brought in from Japan by its owner, Shiro Kosaka.
Other highlights were the Lancia Aurelia four-door Berlina prototype, a rare Aston Martin DB2 with interesting race history, and a selection of Jaguar D-type prototypes.
A full report will apear in the July 2010 issue of Octane, on sale 26 May.
