The Techno-Classica is a truly international classic car show, with over 1100 exhibitors from more than 30 different countries. This year more than 172,800 classic car fans flocked to Essen from all over the globe, some visited simply to enjoy the impressive display of cars, while many had the intention of purchasing a classic during their stay.
The mixture of cars at this year’s show was highly eclectic as usual, with the club stands offering a huge amount of entertainment. Unsurprisingly, the mixture of cars on show was largely German with huge manufacturer stands from BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi taking up a hall to themselves.
Anton L. Franssen, Managing Director of S.I.H.A (the organiser of Techno-Classica) commented: 'Techno-Classica has clearly emphasised its position as a globally top-ranking trading venue for classic automobiles, as the meeting place of the international scene and as the market barometer.'
