Lotus is celebrating 40 years of manufacturing at the Hethel Headquarters in Norfolk on September 23. Fans of the marque are invited to spend the day touring the factory and admiring a display of every model assembled at Hethel.
Hazel Chapman, wife of the late Colin Chapman, founder of Lotus, will officially open the day. In addition to the factory tours and vehicle displays, the line-up includes a fun fair, treasure hunt and wheel-clamping competition for children; retail stores for local produce and Lotus club exhibitions. There's even the chance of a high-speed passenger ride around the South Circuit.
All visitors will walk away with a free goodie bag and everyone arriving in a Lotus will be able to park on site. Parking is available at the Norfolk Showground park and ride for those not so fortunate as to be arriving in an East Anglian sports car.
