Morgan has unveiled a Cosworth-engined Plus 4 model, fettled by AR Motorsport
To celebrate 65 years of the Morgan Plus 4, the Malvern-based sportscar manufacturer has given the four-cylinder model a makeover, with help from the in-house tuning company AR Motorsport.
Powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ford engine, tuned to produce 225bhp by Cosworth, the AR Plus 4 has been given all-new adjustable suspension (set-up from the factory by AR motorsport), bigger brakes, revised chassis and a different axle ratio. More aluminium is used throughout the car, which is left unpainted in a few places to add to the aesthetic charm.

More obvious are the external modifications, which include LED front and rear lights and matt black Image lightweight alloy wheels, with sticky Yokohama AD08R tyres. Look a little closer though, and you will also spot a much more lavish interior, and quite a lot of extra soundproofing – specifically in the hood – which is said to significantly improve the car’s refinement.
Production is limited to just 50 units, each of which will be custom tuned by AR Motorsport. Prices start at £54,995, with a few options available.
