1967-1971 MINI Cooper S MkII/III specifications

1967-1971 MINI Cooper S MkII/III specifications Classic and Performance Car

The 1275cc Cooper S continued into MkII guise, with the same changes as the humbler Minis such as a reshaped grille, bigger rear window and enlarged back lights. Other Minis had dispensed with their marque names but the S continued to be available in Austin and Morris forms. The 998cc variant was dropped in 1969 but the 1275 Cooper S made it through to MkIII form with concealed door hinges and wind-up windows. It kept Hydrolastic suspension until British Leyland’s agreement with Cooper was cancelled in 1971 and the type disappeared.
