This superb driving MG TD has recently had £6,000 spent on mechanical work to include a full gearbox rebuild, brand new clutch, new headlights, new rear brake shoes, two front brake hoses, new rear axle oil seals, new timing cover gasket and seals and new sump gasket. The front end of the engine was stripped to ensure no oil leaks and the car has been serviced with fresh oil, new spark plugs and brake fluid replaced. Other expenditure last year includes over £3,000 of specialist trimming work to include a new hood, new sidescreens and full tonneau cover.
This TD was brought to the UK from Texas, USA in 2013 and was purchased by a UK enthusiast. The MG was already in RHD format over in the USA and was been subject of various restoration work prior to coming over to the UK. The body was taken down to bare metal and re-painted and the wood frame re-conditioned with various new wood sections. The interior was treated to new carpets, door cards and seats are in excellent order. The dashboard is excellent and all gauges work and are in excellent order.
