After just seven months of ownership, Miss Barlow found her dream first home and persuaded her father, James Barlow, to purchase the car from her in order to have a deposit to put down! This is a cracking little midget. I bought it five years ago to 'scch a MG itch' and have loved it. I've had the engine completely rebuilt in two phases. The head was skimmed, new valves, rocker gear with roller rockers fitted two year ago and last year the bottom end was completely restored, new big and crank journals, the bores were enlarged with oversized pistons fitted. It had a new cam shaft, oil and water pump all by a reputable engine shop. The car didn't have the twin carbs when I bought it having been replaced with a single SU - which improves performance and reliability. It also has a new exhaust manifold fitted, rear springs and the front wheel bearings were replaced last year as was the ingition with an expensive 123 Ignition unit. The gear box, like all non-first and reverse non-synchronised units makes the usual noise - but is smooth and does not jump out. The body is in good order having been extensively restored about 10 years ago. I acquired a photo and doc history of this work and still have it. The interior is tidy with just a small rip in one of the seats. The soft top is good with a small slit in one of the side window panels and it has a hard top. This car is not immaculate, but is in very good condition. This car is Tax and MOT free. If you are interested, please come and have a look and judge for yourself.

MGA 1600 1959 Was there ever a prettier, more stylish British Sports Car than the MGA. Superbly stylish, curves to gladden any eye. Chrome beautifully incorporated to highlight all the curves and draw the eyes. This MGA is the Fixed Head Coupe, finished in its original colour scheme of Old English White with red leather interior. Its in absolutely delightful condition. The paintwork shines like it was painted yesterday and the chrome glints with that dark mirror like glow of good quality chrome. This is an older restoration it’s had huge amounts of money spent over the years, but it’s now in the beautiful “Used sparingly and caringly condition” that no amount of restoration can achieve The red leather seats are used, but with a sheen that modern leather can never achieve. The Chrome has been re-plated at some point and not replaced with Chinese Chrome. This is a car for someone to treasure, someone to help it keep its 60 years wearing so beautifully well. The history with the car is superb. It’s had only 4 keepers in its 60 year life span. And with a combination of the Factory Service Book (How many cars from 1959 can say it’s still got that?) and the Original Drivers handbook, the provenance is exceptional. And the bills, invoices and receipts in the car go right back to 1959. We can’t confirm that every single bill ever supplied for the car is there. But there is a massive collection in two ring binder files to confirm work done to the car and the fact that is covered a mere 96600 miles from new. This car has a fabulous provenance with it. We drove it back from its previous keeper, a distance of around 50 miles, and it drives absolutely superbly. So, if you fancy an MGA, this car is an absolute little Gem, and deserves an owner who wants to keep the car and cherish it exactly as it is. This car has that beautifully preserved patina that no recent restoration can ever recreate, its simply stunning. At only £21995 it’s a car to grace any driveway in the country Why not let it grace yours?
Owned since new. Still runs great, had a new clutch and has been looked after, just needs some Tlc, got a new car so not in a rush to sell, sensible offers only please. 2 months mot. Smoke free. Pet free

Contact 07747 013016This car has been used for fun and thrills and definitely not kept for showing by locking away in a garage. She starts first time throughout the year without effort. The car runs beautifully, smoothly and is a delight to drive up the High Street where heads turn. At 52 years of age she is in excellent condition with no rust and very minor flaws of no real significance. Because this car is mechanical sound I have great confidence in embarking on long distant journeys. She has only covered 40,103 since 1966 so there is plenty of life left in this car. In recent times the following work has been undertaken to restore the driving experience. Replaced dual fuel cylinder and brake pipe and clutch pipe. 2014 Installed a new stainless steel exhaust pipe and exhaust box.2016 Installed new brake cylinders, drums and brake pads 2017 Replaced prop shaft UJ joints and refurbished differential. 2017 Replaced hubs, splines and bearings to four wheels 2017 Replaced four wire wheels, tyres and inner tubes.2017 Replaced clutch May 2018 Contact 07747 013016
