The roadster has been very well cared for and has had many upgrades, these include Minilite style alloy wheels, piped leather upholstery with matching door cards, chrome sill covers, Moto Lita steering wheel, roll bar and a brand new hood. The engine starts on the button and she drives very well and everything appears to work as it should. The oil pressure is very good and the car runs very nicely within the correct temperature range, the gearbox is smooth with working overdrive in third and fourth. In summary this is a very smart MGB with all the right bits. MG Frontline Midget 1968 We’ve all lusted after an MG Midget over the years. One of Britain’s great sports cars. Compact, yes. Good Looking, yes. Easy to maintain, Yes. 147BHP Yes! Sorry what was that 147BHP? Yes, this 1968 MG Midget was Frontline Developments demonstrator. Its fitted with a K Series 1.8 litre engine, uprated suspension, brakes, and has had a thorough sniff of serious performance enhancing attention. Finished in Traditional British Racing Green and fitted with Grey leather seats, this is one complete and utter head case of a Midget, but as it looks almost standard, makes the most ideal Q Car. This Car has a massive spec: 1.8 Rover K Series Engine 147BHP with Rolling Road Confirmation 260 Fast Road Cams Emerald ECU Aluminium Radiator 5 Speed Type 9 Gearbox Strengthened Chassis Frontline Adjustable Telescopic Shock Absorbers to Front Uprated Anti Roll bar Frontline Adjustable Telescopic Shock Absorbers to Rear Lowered Leaf Springs to Rear uprated to 340lb Anti Tramp Bars Rear Traction Control Links Polybushed all round Limited Slip Diff EN40 Nitrided Half Shafts Double Hub Bearing Kit Customer Made Aluminium Fuel Tank with Anti Slosh Baffles So what we’re talking here is one seriously sorted Midget. 0-60 is reputedly around 6.5 seconds, and it feels like it. But it feels so well sorted on the road. We like outrageous Midgets, but we’ve never EVER had anything like this. This car will be ideal for someone wanting an interesting track day car, or something for Sprints and Hillclimbs. Or better still just for blowing 911’s off on country roads. Nothing will stick with this Midget other than a well ridden motorbike travelling from A to B on country roads. Be in no doubt, Frontline make a seriously well sorted car, and this car is just that. It’s not possible to buy more fun anywhere right now wearing an MG badge for £13995. Go on, you know you want to!
The MGR V8 was introduced in 1993, as with availability of the MGB Heritage Body shell, the resources were available to create a stunning MG Roadster. Production was limited to around 15 cars per week, and production finished in 1995 when a total of 1983 cars had been produced. 1500 of these stunning motor cars went to Japan, and a significant number have subsequently returned back to the UK, and this car is one of these. In fact this car is 143rd from the last one built. Finished in Woodcote Green with Ivory leather interior, this car is absolutely stunning. The car returned to the UK in 2007 after having covered 34598kms (21498 Miles) from new. Since its return to the UK the car has had 3 owners and has a very comprehensive history file and completed a further 20,000 bringing the total up to around 40,000 miles. It is also fitted with Spax Shock absorbers all round and also have the extremely desirable Optimax Chip fitted to improve the amazing driveability of the car. The paint works simply gleams, the leather is almost unmarked and the woodwork is absolutely gorgeous showing no crazing of the lacquer, like many of this model, and the alloy wheels are in remarkably good condition. If you’re looking for an MGR V8, you won’t want to miss out on this one. It is an absolutely stunning car and at £18995 could be considered something of a bargain, and wouldn ‘t it look great on your drive!

FOR SALE An original UK supplied MGA 1500 Roadster with exceptional provenance EQUIPMENT Safety glass windshield, tonneau cover, black hood, sidescreens with signalling flap, door stowage pockets, spring spoke steering wheel, speedometer, revolution indicator, oil pressure gauge, rheostat panel light switch, map reading light, dash controlled starter switch, foot operated dipping switch, Britax seatbelts. Dealer fit: Twin fuel pumps, 12v power socket, battery isolator switch, aluminium spark plug holder, electric radiator fan. EXTERIOR Very rarely is such a genuine home market MGA offered for sale and this Orient Red stunning car is exceptional in both condition and historical provenance. The deep gloss shine reveals the pampered existence with Concours D’Elegance awards noted from as early as 1959! Scrutineers will marvel at the wheel arches in body colour, original number plates and the black folding waterproof hood still with factory side screens adopting the signalling flap along the lower edge. The chrome radiator grille with vertical slats unique to the 1500 model and bumpers have a mirror finish thanks to be rechromed by Derby plating. The flowing aerodynamic lines are absolutely gorgeous and a genuine Vanden Plas aluminium hardtop, of which only 1450 units were made by the BMC subsidiary with the correct aluminium sidescreens, is available by separate negotiation. INTERIOR A beautifully appointed interior has all the qualities of a traditional sports tourer with bucket seats still finished in the factory real Red leather. The previous owner being immensely fastidious would carry premium leather feed in the car at all times to retain the natural look missing in off-the-shelf new items. Karvel carpets with correct binding and oddities like the central dashboard-mounted horn button will please purists but for convenience a hidden 12v power outlet has been fitted, a battery isolator and an auxiliary fusebox to protect unfused circuits. All Jaeger gauges, switches and warning lamps function and this example feels factory correct in every respect. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION Lifting the bonnet will reveal a spotless engine bay and a level of detail unrivalled by most. The original 1500 British Motor Corporation B series Engine has been rebuilt by Bob West and the unleaded cylinder head by Peter Burgess so performs faultlessly. A documented and meticulous periodic servicing regime will assure perfection seeking buyers. A maximum speed of 95mph is quoted by the 68bhp power unit. A recognised 5-speed conversion has been carried out by Hi-Gear Engineering to allow comfortable cruising. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Correct factory standard steel disc-type wheels are pristine and shod in matching radial Firestone 165 R15 tyres with ample tread including the spare. The Lockhead fully compensated drum brakes to all four wheels have been completely overhauled including new copper and nickel pipes and perform faultlessly. HISTORY FILE Truly phenomenal and second to none. One of only 1,859 Home Market UK 1500 Roadsters produced this example has had a total of just five owners in 59 years and covered 77,229 miles. First registered on the 23rd April 1957 to Mr Francis Ware who sold the vehicle after one year to Kenneth George Roe, custodian for the next 23 years. As a well know figure in MG circles and having previously owned a TA and a TF he just had to have the new aerodynamic MGA and competed in various sprints and hill climbs. Although it was not primarily used as a concours car Mr Roe entered it various events all documented in the history file and noteworthy mentions are a second in class in the BARC Eastbourne Motor Rally Concours in 1959, ’Best Modern MG’ awards at the Brenwood Concours in the 1960’s and a pile of ‘First in Class’ awards at M.G.C.C Silverstone in the late 1960’s. There are a number of photos of the car in the late 50’s and early 60’s, one with the last ever Twin-Cam built and owned by Mike Ellman-Brown, a good friend of Mr Roe at the time. Letters between owners make fascinating reading and the current custodian of 18 years, Mr Parmenter, has chronically and fastidiously noted all works carried out in recognition of the unique provenance this vehicle processes and written helpful notes for the new owner. Also featured in the book by F.Wilson McComb in the History of the MG and Malcolm Green, the well-known MG historian and motoring journalist wrote an article about the car in the December 1999 MG Enthusiast magazine, all included. The car comes with a full set of manuals including the first edition operation manual and original hardback workshop manual in perfect condition. A very rare opportunity and special car. Just arrived in part exchange is this lovely little MG TF last owned by an MG enthusiast. The car came into us with little service history, we have carried out a head gasket test which came back all ok. Due to the lack of service history we are unable to offer our usual complimentary warranty and the car is sold as seen, however, you are more than welcome to view and inspect/arrange your own inspection prior to purchase. The last owner has recently spent a considerable amount of money fitting new Bridgestone tyres and having the wheels refurbished along with having the front bumper painted due to stone chips. We also have an invoice for new rear brake discs and pads which were fitted 03-2016. On the car is private registration number Y23 JDC, this can be removed if preferred. MOT is until 01-04-2017, the last MOT had no advisories. Specification includes remote central locking, unmarked alloy wheels, Kenwood radio CD player as well as all the usual. We are based in Chesterfield less than 1 mile form M1 Junction 29a. Part exchange welcome. Viewing by appointment only. Finance available. This is one of those special cars that do not often come onto the market. To rebuild an MGA to this standard, with the impressive range of upgrades should cost well in excess of £50,000. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase what has to be one of the most exciting long distance touring MGA Roadsters we have seen in many, many years at a price substantially less than restoring one to this standard. This home market RHD MGA is finished in the desirable combination of Old English White with Red leather upholstery, riding on chrome wire wheels and with mohair hood, sidescreens and tonneau cover. We last sold 1354 WU in 2001 to a Yorkshire Dales based couple who have owned the car for fifteen years. Prior to 2001 the MGA was subject of a full nut and bolt rebuild between 1996 to 1998. The body was totally stripped down and the car built up with new chrome, a brand new interior and rebuilt mechanical components. Many of the parts came from MGA specialist Bob West and from 1998 to 2001 the MGA covered around 1250 miles. We sold the car in 2001 as one of the finest MGA's we had seen. From 2001 to 2008 the A covered a further 2500 miles, including some overseas touring prior to being
This mint MG Midget is fully restored, including heritage body shell. The car is as new and drives as such. All but a few MOTs from its first in 1976 to 2006 are with the car. Possibly the best on the market!
A very nice example of this late MG model, a proper sports car, built in limited numbers for this special edition model. 160 bhp. Well balanced, mid engine. 44,000 miles. Factory hard top in matching trophy yellow. Head gasket and water pump done. Great drivers car.
This 1955 MG TF Convertible . It is equipped with a 4 Speed Manual transmission. The vehicle is Red with a Red interior. It is offered As-Is, not covered by a warranty. - This 1955 MGTF is a nice solid driver. It comes with a white convertible top and white side curtains. The motor runs strong and the brakes are good. The TF is the Last of the traditional MG midgets with headlights molded into the fenders, sloping radiator grille, and pressurized cooling system with simulated external radiator cap. The car has good tires, a new carpet, and it's original leather seats. The car also comes with it's original blakelite steering wheel with leather cover. Overall this would be an excellent classic to own for only $19,500.
good reliable car, all advisorys completed on last mot, expires june 2017.
What can I say about MG Midgets. Great fun, easy to own, lots of fun, the list is endless. But here we have something a bit different. In fact this MG Midget, is not only special, but completely and utterly outrageous. The car was re-built with a new Heritage shell some time ago, and from the history file it looks like ait was restored from around 2002 to 2007. It was rebuilt in a stripped out form for racing and Hillclimbing. It’s fitted with uprated suspension and braking systems, but more importantly its fitted with a 1275cc Stage Two Engine. This engines comes complete with +40 Pistons Fast Road High Lift Cam Ported Head Oversized Valves. This Midget isn’t only stunning to look at, it’s an absolute blast to drive. I think it’s the quickest Midget we’ve ever had for sale. Are you looking for an MG Midget? Are you looking for something just a little bit different? Look no further this absolutely stunning car could be sat on your drive today for only £9995.
