Developing a quoted 306bhp / 302lbft of torque, the naturally aspirated V8 was allied to five-speed automatic transmission. Reputedly capable of 0-60mph in 5.7 seconds and an electronically limited 155mph, the super saloon was only in production from 1997-2000 by which time some 4,200 had been sold worldwide. The late Richard Colton became the fourth owner of chassis 842479 when he bought it through Mercedes-Benz's Signature Used Cars scheme for £16,855 on March 20th 2003.
