A wonderful example of an early R107 500SL, with only 3 registered keepers from new, and in the same family ownership (2 of the registered keepers are husband and wife) since 1983. The car has been maintained during this whole period by the owner's local Mercedes Benz main dealership, and it comes with a huge amount of history showing that no expense has been spared in its maintenance. Indeed it had a full body restoration by this dealership in 2010 at 67k miles at a cost of over £13,000! There are many other bills and invoices over the past 7 years that amount to many more thousands spent on mechanical refurbishments and routine service work. As a result the car is in fabulous condition and the paintwork is superb. The interior of the car is also in excellent condition with very little wear, and the soft top which was replaced in 2010 remains in good order. There is also a removable hardtop that comes with the car. A great opportunity to buy an outstanding example of an appreciating classic.
