The Mercedes-Benz W108 (and LWB version W109) was introduced during the Frankfurt Motorshow in September 1965, and was the successor of the fintailed W111. It remained the premium executive model in the Mercedes line-up, and under supervision of Paul Bracq the car lost its fintails, got a much cleaner design and lost its sharp appearance. The body has a much lower waistline compared to the W111, which offered great visibility and an open and spacious interior. The W108 was a very succesful car, and in total 383.361 units were manufactured.
When we came across this fantastic example, we were astonished by its appearance and originality. In fact, it is the most original classic car we ever had in our inventory. Everything is still exactly as it left the factory 47 years ago, and more important it all still is in pristine condition. After measuring the thickness of the paint, we are quite sure this car is still in its original paint, and the quality of this shiny paintwork is just unbelievable.
