car description

--Graphite Grey with Tan interior and Tan German square weave carpeting, 2.5L overhead-cam fuel injected inline 6-cylinder engine, 4-speed automatic transmission, 49,000 miles from new, Original factory Becker ‘Europa’ radio, Rare California Coupe specification with single rear bench seat. The stylish Mercedes-Benz W113 was presented at the 1963 Geneva Motor Show and replaced both the expensive 300SL and entry-level 190SL with one medium-priced two-seat sports car. The elegant body was designed by Bela Barenyi with patented concave hardtop, soon called the "Pagoda." These SL’s have proven to be timeless in their appeal. Not only timeless in appearance, the SL is also one of the best-handling classic sports cars of its era with road manners years ahead of most of their contemporaries. The 250 SL was produced from December of 1966 to January 1968 making it the rarest of the W 113 series cars from Mercedes Benz at that time.
