1985-1989 MAZDA 323 Turbo 4x4 specifications

Look beyond the forgettable styling, and you’ll find an engaging and capable ‘80s hot hatch masquerading as your grandmother’s shopping trolley. The 323 4x4 Turbo was conceived for rallying and was given its go-faster stripes by the application of an IHI turbo and prodigious amounts of boost. Handling was also incredibly well resolved, as you’d expect for a competition-bred machine, although few buyers ever found out first hand. Think of the 323 Turbo 4x4 as a bargain basement Delta Integrale and you’d be doing it a disservice, but you’d also be not far off the mark.
