A 2005 Maserati Quattroporte with Sir Elton John’s name on the logbook will be offered at CCA’s March auction
A rather special Maserati Quattroporte V, previously owned by the international music legend Elton John, is expected to sell for £15,000-£17,000 at Classic Car Auctions’ next sale on 19 March.
The Quattroporte was bought new by Sir Elton, and was sold on to its second owner back in 2010. Inside the car boasts a fantastic in car entertainment package, with rear screen, DVD player as well as two sets of headphones.
More importantly, the thoroughbred Italian has only covered 28,000 miles from new, comes with a full MoT and is running brilliantly after its recent service. The history file also includes national press cuttings from the sale of the car to its second owner in 2010.
CCA has recently had a number of celebrity-owned vehicles pass through its doors, including David Beckham’s Range Rover Sport, as well as a restored Ford Mustang convertible sold by Charles Dance.
CCA classic car specialist, Arwel Richards, commented, ‘This is a wonderfully rare opportunity to buy an example of Italian exotica that goes like a rocket man. There’s something about the way this car looks at night, and the vendor should still be standing as he waves goodbye along the yellow brick road to the auction rostrum!’
