Creating a saloon from a hatchback is common industry practice now, but when the Prisma appeared in 1983, it was still something of a novelty. The resultant three-box lacks much of the Delta’s cute charm, and it failed to make the anticipated impact on the market. No hot versions were offered, and pricing was even more ambitious than the Delta’s, going toe-to-toe with established players like the Audi 80 and BMW 318i. Rust has killed nearly all of them now, so finding one is an achievement, but don’t let that rarity seduce you into paying top-dollar.
