1972-1976 LAMBORGHINI Urraco P250 specifications


In 1970, Ferruccio Lamborghini sought to introduce a low-cost Lamborghini to compete with the Porsche 911 and the Dino 246 by Ferrari. Ferruccio insisted that his new junior supercar have a 2+2 layout and a V8 engine to get one over on the two-seat V6 Dino. Bertone designed and built two prototypes, but Lamborghini decided to use an original and elegant design by Marcello Gandini, who was also responsible for the Miura and Espada. The car was shown to the public on the 1970 Turin Auto Show in November and aroused considerable interest, if not sales.
