To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the legendary Miura, Lamborghini has launched the special edition Aventador ‘Miura Homage', and the first car has made its debut in Hong Kong
Lamborghini has been celebrating the 50th birthday of the Miura this year, which includes the launch of the Aventador ‘Miura Homage’ during the at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier in the year. The first and only Miura Homage has been recently been delivered to Hong Kong – and will be one of the 50 examples delivered worldwide.
The new images of this car show that this example has been specified in one of the more traditional Miura colour schemes: Verde Scandal with a contrasting silver lower portion and Terra Emilia leather upholstery.
Put together by Lamborghini’s Ad Personam studio, the Aventador ‘Miura Homage’ replicates six of the Miura’s most popular colour schemes, which includes Rosso Arancio Miura, Verde Scandal and Blu Tahiti. The bottom of the car is of course painted in a contrasting silver or gold trim.
The specification continues with the 20 and 21-inch Dione rims, which are painted in either matt silver or gold. The special model also gets a Miura 50th badge on the rear of the sill, as well as a black Lamborghini badge on the rear of the car.
Inside, customers have a choice of full Nero Ade or a lighter Terra Emilia leather, complete with tone-on-tone stitching and the optional carbon fibre package as standard. Just to finish it off, there’s a Miura 50th logo stitched into the upper part of the seat.
Under the skin the standard specification remains unchanged. That means the Miura 50 features a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine, pushing out 691bhp at 8250rpm. Performance, again, is exactly the same, with 0-62mph dispatched in 2.9secs – heading onto a top speed of 217mph.
The company has confirmed that production of the Miura Homage will be limited to just 50 units worldwide, and it says that most have already been sold.
‘With the original colour and trim of the Miura, along with its vintage interior upholstery, the Aventador Miura Homage sets out to redefine the classic supercar experience of the modern era’ said Mr Albert Wong, Director of Lamborghini Hong Kong of the new edition.
