MODEL HISTORY Inspired by the now Late Colin McRae’s victorious Ford Focus RS World Rally Car, the Ford Focus RS was created as a no frills, no compromise road going rally car, a car true to its motorsport roots. Designed in conjunction with Ford Racing Engineers and M-Sport in Cumbria, the RS badge synonymous with the most desirable, high performance Ford vehicles was first introduced to the already accomplished Focus. Only 4,501 examples were built with only 2,147 sold to the UK market. EXTERIOR Finished in the only colour available, striking Imperial Blue Metallic, (Code Q2), perfection seekers will be amazed with the outstanding exterior finish of this low mileage example. With styling cues from the Focus RS WRC project more aggressive polypropylene front and rear bumpers were developed for the Focus RS for extensive downforce and are virtually unmarked with only a few tiny stone chips. The correct Hella fog lights and blue turn indicator bulbs remain fitted and all exterior panels unique to the Focus RS body are pristine. The original supplying dealer number plates and rear screen sticker are affixed as are rare and delicate manufacturer stickers in door shuts and other discreet places often lost with the first wash. The underside is factory correct and clean with factory blue production dabs of paint visible thanks to low mileage dry use and temperature controlled storage. INTERIOR Inside this competition-inspired performance Focus RS is an impressive list of motorsport-derived equipment from a pair of body-hugging Sparco road-race seats swathed in luxurious Racing Black and Blue Leather and Black Alcantara, (Code AR), to aluminium fittings, push button start and a numbered plaque. Having covered just 7,424 miles, the interior condition is flawless and undeniably showroom fresh. The instrument cluster features segregated and individually framed gauges with a bold blue band graphic scheme all functioning perfectly. The desirable and no longer obtainable Focus RS carpet mats remain unused and stored in the boot with a set of standard Focus mats having been used instead to protect the carpets from new. The boot carpet has also been protected by a Ford boot tray. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION At the heart of this Focus RS is the powerful 2.0 Duratec RS four-cylinder 16v engine which can trace its roots to the Focus WRC engine design. With an air-to-water aircharge intercooler, a water-cooled turbocharger and oil-spray cooled pistons, it boosts output to 212bhp at 5500rpm and 310Nm torque at 3500rpm. The maximum speed is 144mph while 0-60 is dispatched in just 6.4 seconds! The engine bay is factory perfect. The Ford MTX-75 gearbox with a heavy-duty AP Racing clutch and Quaife Automatic Torque-Biasing (ATB) differential offers the ultimate rally road car experience. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The pristine 8 x 18inch O.Z Racing wheels manufactured in light aluminium alloy are shod in premium Pirelli P Zero 225/40 ZR18 tyres. Peer through the large openings between the spokes and onlookers will be amazed at the beautifully detailed and spotless Brembo 4-pot calipers and 325mm ventilated discs which generate braking forces exceeding 1.0 g and can halt the car from 100mph in 4.1 seconds. HISTORY FILE Built on 29th April 2003 and registered new on 23rd June 2003, a new car sales invoice from the supplying main dealer, Sandicliffe Motor Group, reveals a purchase price of £19,970 to the first owner, Mr Teear. Ford reputedly made a loss of around £4,000 on each car sold, but such was demand when the cars were new that used examples were sold for more than list price! A further two custodians have cherished this car retaining and filing all documentation neatly and chronically in an A4 folder. The last cambelt change was carried out at Ford Lifestyle Motor Group in September 2013 at 7,288 miles. The warranted miles are now only 7,424. The history files also includes rare collector artefacts such as production cards, key tags and old tax discs. All original handbooks, service books and special RS supplements are contained within the Ford wallet and two keys with RS fobs are present. Virtually unrepeatable. MOT April 2018, HPI Clear. In order to accommodate the larger Cosworth engine and transmission Ford developed the car around the chassis and mechanicals of its predecessor, the Sierra Cosworth. A very rare car with only 7,145 examples being produced. (Source Wikipedia, 1995 Edition One RS Brochure and the RS Owners Club). INTERIOR The interior of this Escort Cosworth Lux Edition is absolutely original and just as Ford intended. The Recaro seats finished in the Polaris Grey Hex cloth, (Code LW), are immaculately clean and free from wear. A Bluetooth Parrot system is fitted but not tested. The boot area is pristine and houses the factory fitted space-saver spare wheel and correct jack. HISTORY FILE Built in December 1995 at the Rheine Assembly Plant in Germany, this factory specified Luxury model was registered new to its first owner on the 14th March 1996 by Ford RS Agent Bristol Street Motors of Worcester. Just five former keepers in total have enjoyed this example with the last custodian having owned it for four years. An invoice in the history file for £963.83 dated March 2017 details a service, cambelt and tensioner carried out by renowned Cosworth expert Harvey Gibbs of Supreme Car Services. The original Ford wallet contains all handbooks, radio instructions, guides and point of sale literature as well as the red master key with code tag. Correct and pristine black callipers with the Porsche inscription are clearly visible through the wide spoke apertures. HISTORY FILE Registered new on the 1st August 1990 by Monarch Porsche of Warwick, the history file and credentials to this exceptional example are simply unsurpassable. One fanatical owner from new, 16,827 documented miles and servicing carried out at Porsche Main Dealers every year without a single exception. Mr Maurice Gale ordered the vehicle to his exact specification in October 1989 and joined a ten month waiting list, before eventually taking delivery at Porsche’s Champagne Breakfast and Grand Driveaway day at The Westgate Arms Hotel Warwick, where handover took place. Both the order form and sales invoice for £52,696, along with even the invitation letter to Mr Gale for the new car handover event have been kept in the history. There are two service books containing no less than 26 stamped entries, the original having run out of space. The most recent entry being in 2016 at 16,548 miles, the service history along with every MOT certificate from the first enables the mileage to be fully tracked. A huge and beautifully presented folder of invoices from new are painstakingly filed chronologically, and even include the owner’s personal log of maintenance as well as every single tax disc from new to when they discontinued! Further incredible elements to the history file are product recall notices and event invitation letters from Porsche to Mr Gale, something generally reserved only for highly valued repeat customers. The original sales brochure and valet kit gifted to Mr Gale upon new car handover remains unopened and complete in the luggage area! All handbooks, radio guide with code and point of sale literature are held in the black leather wallet, along with spare keys with remotes, original tags and fobs. Mr and Mrs Gale’s fanatical mentality towards their pride and joy is second to none, and entirely deserved is a rosette awarded at Chateau Impney by two PCGB Concours officials for ‘an example of an exceptionally well kept Porsche’. A brand new hood in cream with matching tonneau was fitted in 2013 and remains as new. A charming and exceptional example of this quintessentially English countryside tourer. INTERIOR The original Leathercloth upholstery trim in Blue Grey is a fantastic compliment to the exterior colour scheme and has a lovely sense of basic no frills motoring, long since forgotten in today’s modern equivalents! The 4-speed gearbox with synchromesh on 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears operates well. Thoroughly useable and ready for classic motoring enjoyment! WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Disc-type steel wheels with optional chrome disc embellishers are beautifully painted in correct Old English White. Five radial Firestone F-560 tyres of 145 R14 size are fitted and the spare is housed in the lower boot floor alongside the original red jack and wheel brace. Braking to all four wheels is hydraulically operated by a pendant pedal with front 8in and rear 7in drums, basic but effective. HISTORY FILE This wonderful example was registered new on 25th July 1968 as a Morris Minor 1000 Saloon to first owner, Miss Eileen Haydon, who kept the car for a remarkable 44 years until 2012! After only minimal dry usage, the car was garage stored when Miss Haydon ceased driving due to advancing years despite having motability aids fitted whereby it remained for some years, and the read mileage of just 3,473 has been confirmed by the family to be correct. During this time, the garage roof partially collapsed resulting in cosmetic damage to the cars roof. In February 2012, neighbour Mr Al Rodens purchased the car and embarked upon a process on recommissioning the Morris and bringing it into working order. Later that year, the third and last registered owner, Mr Mick Apps, purchased the car and commissioned renowned and established specialists, Charles Ware’s Morris Minor Centre, to professionally convert the car to a convertible. This was undertaken in 2013 with invoices in the history file from them totalling thousands. Completing the superb history file is an original workshop manual, driver’s handbook and sales brochure. This beautiful car is the epitome of British summer classic motoring and will stand up to scrutiny and delight any traditional classic enthusiast. MOT March 2018, Tax Exempt, HPI Clear. The striking factory original paintwork in Flame Red, (Code COF), displays a deep mirror shine throughout with an incredible uniform glossy finish. Two tiny dings, one on the scuttle panel and one on the offside rear panel are just visible but inoffensive. The underside and factory fitted panels are incredibly well preserved, and even the rear arches show visible original weld dots, almost unheard of for a Metro. The sporting trim sections are perfect and the dealer plates, tax disc holder and rear screen sticker remain fitted. Constantly garaged with soft sheets protecting it, this example is in almost unconceivably good condition. INTERIOR The interior of this outstanding unmolested example is in pristine original condition. The sporty feel is completed with bright red seat belts, a less than subtle hint towards the fun in store once you turn the key! ENGINE & TRANSMISSION This top of the range Metro GTi 16v has the four cylinder 16 valve twin cam engine developing a spritely 95bhp, huge fun in such a lightweight car. The engine note through the standard specification exhaust matches the cars sporty looks and the driving experience is guaranteed to raise a reluctant smile! A pristine engine bay displays all factory stickers, plates and panel stampings. The five speed close ratio manual gearbox offers light and precise changes throughout the range and lively city driving manner. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The original 13” alloy wheels are in amazing order having never been refurbished and are shod in brand new branded 185/55 R13 tyres. Incredibly, the factory fitted Dunlop SP D8 tyres have been retained for originality. The spare fifth alloy wheel is also fitted with the original Dunlop tyre, and both the wheel and tyre have never seen the road. To delight the collector even more, alongside the spare wheel is the toolkit, wheel brace and centre cap lever sat in the polystyrene holder, and the original jack is retained by the correct small white bungee strap. The dual circuit servo assisted brakes with front discs bring the car up to a steady, straight and assured halt. HISTORY FILE This astounding example was registered new on 1st June 1990 by Rover Main Dealer, Mann Egerton & Co of Bishop’s Stortford, and has covered a mere 63,591 miles with just two keepers from new. The previous keeper purchased the car from Rover Main Dealer, Warners of Windlesham, when the car was less than two years old and had covered just 8,823 miles. A used vehicle sales invoice in the history file confirms a purchase price of £7,360. The devotion by the second and long term owner is truly remarkable with the care and attention lavished upon her pride and joy second to none. She even had the foresight to periodically buy spare carpet mats, trim pieces and parts while they could still be found, just in case they were ever needed! The colossal history file is simply incredible with all handbooks, radio guides, service book other point of sale literature neatly kept inside the plastic A5 wallet. Furthermore, a huge folder of receipts and invoices span from new to present, and there are two documented cambelt changes with the most recent being done less than 4,000 miles ago. A detailed maintenance log, original Rover range sales brochure and two sets keys complete the history file. This Metro is an absolute credit to the former keeper and represents an unrepeatable opportunity to acquire arguably the best example of this very rare surviving model. MOT March 2018, HPI Clear. An exceptional and standard Ford Escort RS Cosworth with just 15,381 miles. MODEL HISTORY The Ford Escort RS Cosworth was a sports derivative and rally homologation special of the fifth generation Ford Escort. It was designed to qualify as a Group A car for the World Rally Championship. It was available as a road car from 1992-96 in limited numbers from Ford’s Specialist Vehicle Engineering, (SVE), team. It combines the hand-assembled engine expertise of Cosworth and the coach-building crafts of Karmann. EQUIPMENT Body colour front bumper with black lower extension, front airdam, louvred bonnet air intakes, wing air extraction grilles, integral driving lights and fog lights, driver airbag, central double locking, padded armrest with cassette storage, oil pressure gauge, turbo gauge, voltmeter, quartz digital clock with ambient temperature, white sports dials, Ford 2007 RDS radio/cassette. Luxury Model comprising of; electrically operated and heated door mirrors, ‘Quickclear’ heated windscreen, heated washer jets, three-spoke leather covered steering wheel, rear centre armrest, rear head restraints, electric sunroof, electric windows, carpeted door bins. Factory Options; Passenger airbag, CFC free air conditioning, CD player model 2040. Dealer accessories; Ford tailored carpet mats. EXTERIOR The breath-taking exterior of this Escort RS Cosworth is nothing short of magnificent. Finished in solid Diamond White, (Code B2), the paintwork boasts an impeccable shine from the flawless factory finish. All exterior trim, lights, badges and rubbers are perfect. All correct Ford window stickers remain intact including the Ford Security System and Dealer supplier rear window sticker. A private number plate included with ‘FMC’ suffix pays homage to the press cars used by the Ford Motor Company when new. A beautifully detailed underside featuring a standard exhaust is worthy of the demanding show scene. Incredibly original and unmolested and cossetted underneath an expensive soft fibre car cover included in the sale, this is a true champion collectors car. INTERIOR The interior of this Escort Cosworth is wonderfully original and showroom fresh. The Recaro seats are finished in the Polaris Grey Hex cloth, (Code LW), and are immaculately clean and free from wear. The seat bases and bolsters remain tight and have retained all shape, and even the delicate piping to the seats have avoided the wear commonly suffered in other examples. The cut-pile carpets are perfect and untouched thanks to genuine Ford carpet mats. The standard Ford radio/cassette, Model 2006 RDS sound system remains as Ford intended and the optional CD player model 2040 remains fitted. The boot area is pristine and houses the factory fitted space-saver spare wheel and correct jack. An impeccable RS interior representative of a new vehicle handover in March 1996. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The original RS Cosworth powerplant warrants little introduction. Fitted with the factory standard Generation Two Ford EEC IV electronic engine management system and Garrett AiResearch T25 turbocharger and intercooler, the motorsport pedigree of this car is obvious. With an impressive output of 217HP, the car accelerates rapidly through 0-60 in 5.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 144mph. The pristine engine bay is exactly as Ford intended and displays factory seam welds and weld dots to the wings along with original plates, stickers and stampings. An ultra-rare and sought after white Motorcraft battery and Motorcraft hoses, ancillaries and filters will pass strict Ford aficionado scrutiny. The permanent Ferguson four wheel drive system with 34/66% front/rear power split mated to a MT 75 5-speed gearbox is a delight. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Genuine and immaculate Ford RS 8 X 16” five-spoke alloy wheels are shod in correct and specially formulated 225/45 ZR16 Continental Sport Contact tyres with masses of tread remaining. Electrically-controlled ABS anti-lock system with two microprocessors and ventilated front and rear discs offer immense stopping power. HISTORY FILE Built in November 1995 at the Rheine Assembly Plant in Germany, this factory specified Luxury model was registered new to its first owner on the 14th March 1996 by Ford RS Agent Whites of Taunton. The incredible low mileage of 15,381 miles is verified in the comprehensive and beautifully presented history file. The original Ford service booklet contains stamped entries from Ford Main Dealers and marque specialists, including renowned and respected Graham Goode Motors Ltd of Leicester. Furthermore, two huge and impeccably ordered history folders track the vehicle maintenance from new and documents no less than four cambelt changes, the most recent being January 2017 along with an engine service using genuine Ford components. Every MOT certificate acquired throughout the cars lifetime is present to absolutely verify the mileage. Completing the superb history is the original Ford wallet containing all handbooks and guides, spare keys including red master key and even an irreplaceable RS rear view mirror hung specification placard. An extraordinary example and worthy of the best Ford collections. MOT August 2017, HPI Clear. FOR SALE A time warp Nissan Sunny 1.6GSX with an incredible 11,504 miles from new. EQUIPMENT Laminated Windscreen, tinted windows, colour keyed bumpers, wide side mouldings, power assisted steering, twin remote door mirrors, electric sliding roof, central locking, electric windows all round, variable intermittent wipers, tachometer, four speaker stereo cassette, cassette storage, quartz digital clock, cigar lighter, rear wash/wipe, heated rear window, height adjustable seatbelts, tilt steering, remote boot release and fuel filler, lockable glovebox, 60/40 split folding rear seats. Dealer accessories; Mud flaps, heavy duty rubber floor mats. EXTERIOR This amazing example finished in factory Metallic Silver, (Code 549), is truly worthy of the ‘time warp’ accolade given. The paint finish is fantastic with a bright pure shine, and hallmarks of a vehicle having covered just 11,504 miles from new are clear to see with preserved trim sections, decals and items such as the original supplying dealer number plates and ‘Ok Nissan!’ sticker remaining in place. Minor scratches and imperfections are untreated in order to retain originality and there is a light rub to the front nearside bumper corner. Hugely nostalgic and virtually impossible to find in this unspoiled state, this is one for the Datsun/Nissan fanatic! INTERIOR To climb inside the interior of this wonderfully kept example can be likened to visiting a Nissan showroom in 1989. The exceptionally low mileage is clearly evident and the interior condition is simply perfect. This range topping GSX example features an abundance of comfort functions, all fully operational, and the plush Grey Woven seats are as new. Natural veins to the steering wheel and gear knob reflect the low mileage and even the new car smell has not escaped! The boot floor still displays factory build stickers. Technologically advanced when new but now a firm but alternative modern classic, you are definitely ready for the show scene with this lovely Nissan. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION Fitted with the four cylinder OHC engine developing 84bhp, the engine starts with a flick of the key and is wonderfully smooth and quiet with the instantly recognisable Nissan hum. The oil is clear and golden and all fluids are clean. The very well presented engine bay is unspoilt and displays factory plates, stickers, panel stampings and even areas of factory protective wax. The five speed gearbox is light and has the tight precise feel only found on such low mileage examples. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The standard wheels feature the original full wheel covers which are virtually unmarked, and all wheels including the spare remain shod in the factory Dunlop SP 7 155SR13 tyres. Whilst the tyres are visually in excellent order, renewal prior to regular use may be a wise safety consideration on the grounds of age. The spare wheel is unused and the tyre even has the stickers affixed to the tread. Alongside the spare wheel is the complete Nissan tool pouch. The braking system incorporates discs to the front and offers reliable straight line stopping power. HISTORY FILE Registered new on 1st February 1989 and supplied by AFG Nissan of Stoke, this amazing Sunny has covered just 11,504 miles from new with three owners. Recommissioned by the second owner after a period of minimal use and dry storage, the car has been enjoyed with attendance at local shows and dry weather outings. Representing a humble aspect of modern Nissan history, this useable and beautifully preserved 1980’s classic is certain to impress. MOT August 2017, HPI Clear. • Porsche 911

    £64,995

FOR SALE A beautiful and extremely rare UK Porsche 911 M491 Supersport Coupe. EQUIPMENT Supersport equipment, front and rear aero-dynamic spoilers, flared wheel arches, halogen headlamps, headlamp washers, heavy duty windscreen cleaning system, recoil bumpers, integrated fog lamps, power locks, electric window lifters, power sunroof, oil level gauge, oil temperature, oil pressure, electrically adjustable sports seats, seat heaters, leather trimmed steering wheel, 3 point rear seat belts, cassette holder, velour carpet in luggage compartment. Dealer accessories; Porsche dealer fitted Anti-Theft System. MODEL HISTORY Offered by Porsche in 1984 as a factory option, the Supersport Edition option code M491, essentially provided the showcase looks of a 930 Turbo, but natural aspiration and more palatable running costs were attractive to some, along with the added rarity. Whilst sharing most features with the turbo, including the wide body, rear aerodynamic ‘tea tray’ spoiler and Turbo brakes, some features of the Supersport including the G50 5-speed gearbox and stiffer suspension were deemed more desirable. The M491 option was particularly popular in the US within the first two years of launch as the 930 Turbo was not available. Just 75 cars were produced for the UK market, 35 of which were coupe bodied. EXTERIOR This beautiful genuine Supersport edition is finished in stunning Porsche Nougat Brown Metallic (code F4FA). The paintwork boasts a lustrous shine being nothing short of breath taking and encapsulates the true magic of the 911 perfectly. All panels are straight and free from damage with only the tiniest of imperfections commensurate with a used but cherished example. All trim sections including the trademark rear wing and aerodynamic front bumper are spotless. The ultimate 1980’s object of desire. INTERIOR The splendid interior of this 911 Supersport is a delightful throwback to 1980’s supercar glamour. The seats are finished in beautifully clean Linen and Mahogany Leatherette with Linen interior inlays. Matching door cards and tailor-made carpet mats complete the look and the colour scheme dashboard and matching steering wheel resonate with 1980’s exuberance! Only tiny age related veins to the seat leather is visible upon very close inspection. The dashboard and associated switchgear is perfect with all functions and controls operating exactly as Porsche intended. The front luggage compartment still displays the important original factory build sticker under the bonnet which matches that inside the service booklet, and the Porsche ground sheet remains unused along with all other tools. The cockpit of a ground breaking automotive hero. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION This air cooled rear mounted engine is the 3,164cc 154KW variant or technically known as the M930/20 Type. Naturally aspirated, a top speed of 152mph and 0-62 time of 6.1 seconds is only marginally slower than the 3.3 930 Turbo. The engine bay is beautifully clean, unmolested and displays factory stickers and markings clearly. More desirable than the unit fitted to the Turbo, the Supersport has the Getrag (model G50) five speed gearbox which is light and direct. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Ultimate forged alloy 16inch Fuchs wheels with unique colour coded Nougat Brown centres correct for the Supersport are taken from the 930 Turbo. The wheels are in outstanding condition with only miniscule surface markings visible upon close scrutiny. Quality matching Continental ContiSport Contact tyres 205/55 ZR16 front and 245/45 ZR16 rear have masses of tread remaining and were fitted new in 2015. Powerful ventilated and perforated discs all round with four piston callipers are standard and taken from the 930 Turbo. HISTORY FILE Supplied originally by Parker & Parker Ltd, Official Porsche Centre in Cumbria, this genuine UK M491 Supersport was registered new on 17th February 1987. A Certificate of Authenticity issued by Porsche Cars Great Britain Limited confirms the correct model, colour and specification, including the all-important Supersport Equipment package. The original Porsche leatherette wallet contains all handbooks and guides as well as the service record displaying 21 entries, the first 14 stamps up to 1999 being the supplying dealer Parker & Parker. Thereafter the entries are Porsche specialists with the most recent being 2015 at TWG Sport of Peterborough with less than 2,000 miles covered since. An invoice dated August 2015 for £1,744.98 from The Porsche Centre Cambridge details maintenance work undertaken. Completing the fantastic history record is a large file of MOT certificates and invoices as well as three sets of keys including the original master. Altogether a beautifully presented, very special and exclusive model of this iconic motoring legend. MOT February 2018, HPI Clear. Alternatively If you’d like to move your vehicle on quickly and efficiently with minimal delay then we can make an offer on an outright purchase basis with payment and collection arranged soon after. One of 800 special edition cars, an Audi Quattro TT Sport with just 49,505 miles. EQUIPMENT Galvanised body with crumple zones, side impact bars, xenon lights, headlamp cleaning system, front and side airbags, Aerodynamic Styling Package, Alcantara/Leather upholstery, Alcantara gear knob, handbrake and steering wheel, Recaro bucket seats with body coloured seat backs, stability bar replacing rear seats, tyre mobility system replacing spare wheel, Driver Information System (DIS), Audi Chorus sound system. Factory options: BOSE speaker system, electronic climate control. EXTERIOR The only Audi TT model built by Audi AG high-performance specialist subsidiary Quattro GmbH in Germany, the Quattro TT Sport or TT Club Sport as it was known in Europe was built in very limited numbers. Just 800 UK cars were produced, less than the 1000 cars originally intended, and this example finished in original Phantom Black (code LZ9Y) is simply exceptional. The low mileage and enthusiast owner credentials are obvious and even the strictest perfection seeker will struggle to fault the finish. Correct black exhaust tips and wider arch spats are unique for the TT Sport. An outstanding example of this much revered and coveted TT Coupe. INTERIOR Having covered such few miles, the interior of this Audi TT remains in remarkable condition. The original Recaro Bucket seats with Phantom Black seat backs intended for the TT Sport remain fitted and are alternative to the less desirable standard sport seats that were available as a no cost option chosen by some buyers on comfort grounds. The black alcantara/leather seats coverings (code TW) are in fantastic order. All trims pieces, controls and functions are virtually as new with only minor bobbling to the alcantara covering on the steering wheel. Obvious weight saving measures to contribute towards to overall weight loss of 75kg is achieved by a stability bar and luggage net in place of the rear seat, and removal of the spare wheel and heated seats. The discreet and unique Quattro Sport badge above the glove box acts as a subtle hint towards this very special TT’s capabilities. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The increased power from the 1.8 turbocharged engine rising to 240bhp is the result of a different mapping profile and offers an explosive 0-60mph time of 5.7 seconds and limited top speed of 155mph. Further weight saving and weight distribution measures were achieved by the removal of the rear counterweight and relocation of the battery to the rear of the vehicle. The engine compartment is unmolested, spotless and has all stickers and plates clearly visible. The Quattro permanent four-wheel drive system mated to a precise 6-speed gearbox offers phenomenal stability and driver enjoyment. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Unique to the Quattro Sport and in perfect order, the original 8J x 18 front and 8.5J x 18 rear alloys wheels remain fitted and are shod in the correct 235/40 R18 Goodyear Eagle tyres with masses of tread. The braking system offers assured and safe braking power with the callipers painted red as another distinguishing feature of the Quattro Sport. Without question the most desirable production TT driving experience and this example is truly exceptional. HISTORY FILE Supplied new on 31st May 2005 by Lancaster Audi, this incredible example has covered just 49,505 miles from new with just three enthusiast keepers. The exhaust note is truly addictive and exhibitionists will enjoy the spotless engine bay with a polished bonnet underside! A recent clutch kit makes the four speed transmission fitted with overdrive a pleasure to use. MODEL HISTORY Conceived by French World War II fighter ace Count Roland de la Poype, the Mehari was based on a Citroen Dyane 6 platform and shared mechanicals with the 2CV6 and the Ami. The name Mehari is taken from a type of fast running camel, and Citroen referred it to the word "méhariste", a French colonial soldier in Algeria who rode a camel! Produced between 1968 and 1988, this utilitarian vehicle incorporated a Borg Warner Cycolac ABS plastic body tub and has gained iconic status in French automotive history. EXTERIOR The creative design of the corrugated Cycolac ABS body was part of Citroen’s vision for a simplistic, lightweight and fun vehicle, one which would not dent and with pre dyed panels that did not require painting. This example, finished in striking Green has been fully restored to a very high standard with all panels fully intact and showing only minor blemishes. Being a RHD conversion the panels have been replaced with GRP items perhaps from an El Cid model. A small cosmetic repair is evident on top of the driver’s door sill. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The air cooled two cylinder 602cc ‘pancake’ engine with its distinct rumbling soundtrack is instantly familiar, and with 33bhp it scampers along to offer a truly unique driving experience! The feather weight bonnet lifts to reveal a clean engine bay with correct brown heater tubes displayed. Total simplicity, superb owners club support and parts availability network ensure this classic is effortless to use and enjoy. The 4-speed synchro City-Matic ‘push me pull you’ transmission operates exactly as it should and being like no other car today. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Five correct grey steel wheels are shod in new matching 135 R15 tyres all round. The manufacture stampings are clearly visible and the offside front rim shows some markings. The front inboard drum brakes and rear drums whilst not up to modern capabilities perform well in such a lightweight vehicle. HISTORY FILE This 1971 Version 2 Mehari arrived in the UK from France in 2003 and has been subject to a complete rebuild whilst remaining true to the original design, with only subtle upgrades and professional conversion to right hand drive. Forming part of a multi-million pound classic car collection with the previous owner, this delightful example will meet the expectations of any serious collector and likewise, will delight fun seeking individuals striving to be a bit different!
