FOR SALE An immaculate Mercedes-Benz 300SL R107 with just 12,178 miles. EQUIPMENT Light-alloy bonnet, easy-closing doors, detachable colour coded hard top, retractable soft top, impact zones, anti-burst locks, strengthened windscreen pillars, parking lamps, three speed wipers, individually adjusted temperature zones, heated door mirrors, oil pressure gauge, non-slip steering wheel, lockable glove compartment, fire extinguisher, power assisted steering. Factory fitted options; Leather trim, rear child seats, heated seats, Tempomat cruise control, Becker Grand-Prix Cassette radio, outside temperature gauge, orthopaedic backrests, airbag, anti-theft warning system, headlamp wash/wipe. EXTERIOR The timelessly elegant classic shape of the R107 SL model has become an icon of the modern classic car era, and this 1989 300SL is the final incarnation of an incredible 17-year production run having been first introduced in 1972. The instantly recognisable lines of the R107 series, the R prefix to denote a Roadster as opposed to W for Wagon, are graceful yet muscular and this example is surely one of the best there is. Finished in factory optional Diamond Blue Metallic, (Code 355), the paintwork boasts a magnificent finish and show winning shine, commensurate with the incredibly low and fully verified 12,178 miles. Tiny light scratches to the rear deck underneath the hood rim are visible. The Dark Blue hood, (Code 5010), is as new, as are the side and rear hood windows. The original colour coded hard top remains with the car and is in perfect condition, and the hood aperture still displays factory wax and foam bump stops. The high-quality chrome has a mirror finish and trim sections and rubbers are virtually as new. Pure excellence in engineering and craftsmanship, an exceptional example in every respect. INTERIOR Subject to a vast array of factory options, this high specification late production 300SL is upholstered in original Mushroom Leather, (Code 275). The seats are beautifully preserved and commensurate with the low mileage, with very light markings to the driver’s seat bolster and slight creasing to one headrest edge. The deep pile carpets are pristine having been protected from new by Mercedes over mats. The fascia is perfect and all the gauges, controls and electrics operate exactly as they should, including the factory optional Becker Grand-Prix Cassette radio, the most expensive unit available when new! Available on late model R107’s as a factory option, the central ball ventilation aperture is replaced with an outside temperature gauge and the seat backs feature luggage straps. The boot area has the factory supplied toolkit as well as the original warning triangle in plastic sheath and first aid kit still in the cellophane wrapper! Originality seekers will note the rear light clusters complete with delicate manufacturer stickers still attached. Hugely advanced ergonomically, the benchmark for all makers of the era. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The 300SL model offered the optimum blend of performance and refinement, with a power output quoted in the manufacturer literature of 188bhp and 260Nm of torque, enough to propel this driving machine to a maximum speed of 123mph whilst 0-60 is achieved in 9.6 seconds. The engine bay is spotless and retains all manufacturer stickers, plates and panel stampings. The low mileage credentials are evident in the perfect under-bonnet insulation panel which is usually deteriorated. A specialist stainless steel exhaust system has been fitted at a cost of £1,052.80 in 2003. The four-speed automatic transmission is flawless in operation with positive kickdown and the factory optional Tempomat cruise control is working perfectly. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The original 15-hole light alloy wheels, as fitted to later models, are unrestored and in excellent order with only light scratches to the outer rim on one wheel. Quality matching brand Michelin Pilot Primacy 205/65 R15 tyres have masses of tread and the unused spare wheel remains shod in the factory Michelin MXV tyre which still displays the coloured banding and still has the wheel changing guide tag attached! Another feature of this late model 300SL is the Anti-lock Braking System fitted as standard. HISTORY FILE Built in the final months of production prior to the launch of the R129, a car which needed to fulfil the prestigious legacy of the R107, this 300SL example was first registered on 1st January 1989 by Mercedes Main Dealer, Rose & Young Ltd of Caterham. A new car sales invoice in the history file confirm a price paid of £41,347.97, enough to buy a house in 1988 when the car was first ordered! The Mercedes plastic wallet houses all handbooks, guides and dealership literature as well as both genuine Mercedes roof prongs neatly stored in the pouch holder. The original service and maintenance booklet displays 9 stamped entries with the first seven being Mercedes Main Dealers and the last entry being in March 2018 at 12,172 miles. The history folder consists of a large collection of invoices and MOT certificates throughout the cars lifetime as well as a maintenance log dating back to 1989 and an original sales brochure. A wonderful touch to the history file is a photograph accompanied by a written account by the second owner, Dr John Glees, of him taking delivery of the car in 1992 whereby he describes the car being delivered to him by Puttock’s Mercedes-Benz, and including notes on the test drive, the weather on the day and some optional extras he ordered there and then! Appealing to any serious collector wanting one of the very best-preserved examples in existence, this 300SL will delight on every conceivable level. MOT March 2019, HPI clear. HISTORY FILE Registered new on the 16th November 1973 as a humble Escort 1100L, this car led an unassuming life throughout the 1970’s, 80’s and 90’s, and it was into the millennium that the cars transformation was undertaken in the hands of eclectic classic car collector, Robert McMillon. Having searched extensively for a Mk1 RS2000, Robert became disheartened with many non-genuine examples masquerading as genuine AVO cars and the few genuine examples he could find were in such poor order. This led Robert to make the decision to build his own RS2000 recreation, exacting to his own specification and standard. The car as it stands today is a testament to his dedication, skill and knowledge and represents everything that the original Mk1 RS2000 stands for at a fraction of the price! A superb achievement, huge fun and highly usable. MOT June 2019, Tax Exempt, HPI Clear. EQUIPMENT Chrome window trim, chrome bumpers, chrome wheel covers, running boards, horn pad with Wolfsburg crest, hazard lights, dash illumination adjustment, interior light, collapsible steering column, fuel gauge, assist straps, headlight flasher, bezel vents, sill vents, glove box, driver’s door pocket, twin sunvisors, grab handle, coat hooks. Dealer options: Radiomobile push-button stereo. EXTERIOR The unmodified, unspoilt and preserved nature of this delightful Beetle 1300 is truly wonderful and fondly reminiscent of a far simpler motoring age. Finished in Volkswagen Kasan Red/Kasanrot, (Code L30B), the vibrant finish to the paintwork is superb with only very light imperfections consisting of touched in marks and thin paint on bonnet edges from years of overzealous polishing. All utterly insignificant. The factory panels are damage free and uniformly even and the doors shut with a reassuring thud. The underside is excellent and free from excess applied underseal. Originality seekers will delight at the original VW etched glass badges and inner door shut stickers. Even the octane sticker to the inside of the petrol flap remains fitted! All chrome bumpers and trim pieces are intact and boast a brilliant shine. A delightfully humble and unmolested example of a motoring icon. INTERIOR The original black leatherette interior is spotless with all seats and matching door cards fully intact and remarkably free from wear. The factory fitted padded steering wheel with Wolfsburg crest is pristine, as is all other fully functioning controls and switchgear, including the Radiomobile push-button stereo. The factory sticker to the inner glovebox lid remains and the headlining is clean, fully intact and displays only very light discolouration around the rear seams. The front luggage compartment displays factory plates and stickers and houses the original spare wheel still feeding the pneumatic washer system, a system sadly often removed in favour of an electric washer pump. Ten years ago, the previous long-term owner found a Two Shilling coin underneath the carpet dated near the cars production and sentiment/superstition has led him to insist it remained there when he sold the car! ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The matching numbers standard air-cooled rear mounted engine produces 52bhp from its 1285cc displacement enabling a top speed of 78mph with the unmistakable Beetle engine note delightfully pronounced but completely unobtrusive. The engine bay is amazingly clean, exactly as Volkswagen intended and incredibly the original, yet now arguably primitive, Volkswagen diagnostics plug remains fitted! The fully synchronized 4-speed gearbox works perfectly offering light and precise gear changes. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The original pressed steel wheels are dressed in immaculate chrome half wheel covers and shod in branded 155 R15 tyres with excellent tread remaining. Dual circuit drums front and rear operate freely, offering modest yet perfectly adequate stopping power when compared to modern vehicles, exactly as they were made! HISTORY FILE Registered new on the 13th October 1972, the supplying Volkswagen Main Dealer was Walter Scott Ltd of Pavillion Road, London. This incredible Beetle 1300 has covered a genuine warranted 52,990 miles from new with just three former keepers. Furthermore, a huge history folder is beautifully presented with many previous MOT certificates and specialist invoices for service and maintenance work, including a rebuild of the original Solex carburettor in 2016. A feature in Classsic Car Weekly dated March 2008 is full of glowing praise when it was advertised for sale at £5,995. All original handbooks, guides, warranty book and dealership literature have been kept along with two sets of keys and an original sales brochure. Even the VW Diagnosis Punch Card Booklet with the original build sticker is present! In 2005 works were carried out by Minister Racing Engines to the sum of £6,412 with an invoice to confirm. With a performance head to 170 Spec and reassurance of a head gasket upgrade along with other proven enhancements this example comfortably outperforms the standard performance figures of 0-60mph in 5.38 seconds and a top speed of 133mph. A glorious exhaust bark and a red plenum and cam cover give a clue to the fun ahead. The supplying Lotus Main Dealer continued to annually service the car and it was subsequently sold by Lotus Main Dealers Westover Sports Cars in December 2014 as an Approved Lotus with their warranty proving and reassuring all workmanship carried out. This example was supplied new by UK Main Dealers, JCT600 in Leeds, to Mr Sutcliffe on the 19th October 1999. The new car invoice included in the comprehensive history file reveals a purchase price of £27,953.75. Mr Sutcliffe, a devoted Lotus fanatic, swapped in his standard 1998 Lotus Elise in Norfolk Yellow and remained the custodian of this car until January 2015. During his ownership the vehicle was serviced by the supplying Dealer no less than 10 times with invoices and a stamped service book to prove despite having covered only 11,861 miles. Again during his careful ownership in October 2005 works to the sum of £6,412 were carried out to improve the performance and longevity of the engine which is fully documented in the history file. Supplied to the only other owner, Mr Crew as an Approved Lotus through Westover Sports Cars, this meticulously maintained example has been serviced a further four times by them with the last entry being in December 2017 at 13,404 miles. The service history is stamped across two service books. The vehicle has now covered a warranted 13,504 miles. EXTERIOR This well-appointed Daimler is the epitome of luxury and opulence, enjoying all the trappings of a Jaguar MKII with a further heightened level of equipment and finish. Finished in the original colour of Silver Grey, the paintwork presents beautifully with a deep uniform shine. The excellent finish displays only minor imperfections and the front and rear screen rubbers show slight age. The extensive high quality chromework is undamaged and in excellent order, including the Daimler specific fluted grill and rear number plate lamp shroud with Daimler lens. The only exception being the front badge bar which shows light pitting to the brackets. All light fitments and lenses are original Lucas fitment including the small side lights incorporated into the front wings which show some discolouration to the lenses. An imposing classic Daimler, truly magnificent and ready to show. INTERIOR With the high specification of equipment and material finish, the Daimler variant was to cater for the most indulgent of buyers, and it was light-heartedly quipped at the time to be Daimler Saloon’s for the Bank Manager and Jaguar MKII’s for the bank robber! The original finest quality Vaumol leather hide in Red is preserved in wonderful condition but does display natural and dignified aging. Luxury starts from the ground up with deep pile carpets over thick felt underlay, full matching door dressings and individual central arm rests. The soft velvet headlining does show some discolouration. The beautifully crafted polished figured walnut instrument panel features a plethora of ornate and fully functioning switchgear and Smiths gauges, and the original Bakelite steering wheel with Daimler emblem and horn ring is a work of art. Incredibly, a selling dealer fascia sticker and tax disc holder have remained fitted as have the optional Daimler seatbelt clasps. The boot area is very clean and houses a rare full tool kit. Reminiscent of a bygone luxury motoring age, even the leather and wood scent will ignite fond nostalgia. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The 90 degree V8 cylinder engine with twin SU HD6 semi-downdraught carburettors displaces 2548cc to produce 140bhp at 5800rpm and a top speed of 112mph. The original twin SU carburettor set up remains fitted, and the vehicle build plate and front panel stamping match exactly to the vehicle records found on the Heritage Certificate held in the history file. The strong, time-proven Borg Warner Type 35 automatic transmission with column shift operates as it should. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Five optional stainless wire wheels are the ultimate expression of period sporting prowess and are shod in quality matching period style Vredestein 185/80 SR15 tyres with masses of tread remaining. Dunlop bridge type disc brakes to all four wheels with quick change pads offer superb stopping power, hugely advanced for the era. HISTORY FILE Built on the 13th January 1965 at the Daimler Plant in Coventry, the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate dated 2nd June 1993 confirms this example was produced in Silver Grey with Red interior and automatic transmission. Date of despatch to the original supplying dealer, Russells of Chatham, was on 22 January 1965 and first registration took place on 19th February 1965. Incredibly, just four keepers have owned the car from new, all of whom are traceable in the colossal history file which incudes even the original green buff log book. First owner, Mrs Florence Forlong, owned the car from new until August 1971 where the second keeper, Mr Randolph Marks, purchased it, both of whom are listed on the green buff log book. Upon transfer to the new style V5 document, the ownership can be traced from to the third owner Mr Barry Pladdys, and finally the previous keeper, Mr Michael Parker. The history file is simply incredible, huge and beautifully presented, and perusal of such would literally take hours! In addition to a massive collection of invoices, there are filed MOT certificates dating back to 1971 and carefully mounted tax discs, every one from 1971 to 2008! Further wonderful highlights include original sales literature, fuel ration books, a mileage and petrol log dating back to the 1960’s and period 1960’s adverts from The Motor and Autocar publications. This is a very special Daimler with a history file second to none. MOT May 2019, HPI Clear. Alternatively If you’d like to move your vehicle on quickly and efficiently with minimal delay then we can make an offer on an outright purchase basis with payment and collection arranged soon after. One of 100 UK RHD Renault Sport Spiders with an incredible 2,528 miles. MODEL HISTORY Innovative aluminium construction, suspension and underpinnings of a pure race car, power from the hottest of hatchbacks, no side windows, no door handles and tiny production volumes totalling just 1,685 units are all features of a specialist car builder and not from one of Europe’s biggest mass producers. That is the appeal of the Renault Sport Spider unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1995 and built at the Dieppe factory, home to the famous Alpine marque, between 1996 and 1999. The UK market only imported the windscreen version rather than the aeroscreen and only 100 right hand drive cars were produced. From the beginning a special one-car racing series for a purpose built Spider Trophy edition was designed. This ran for several years as support to the British Touring Car Championship with famous drivers such as Jason Plato, who won 11 out of 14 races in the inaugural year of the UK Spider Cup. EQUIPMENT All aluminium spaceframe chassis, aluminium roll bar, vertically opening doors, body-coloured adjustable door mirrors, adjustable pedal positions, removable storage box in luggage compartment, laminated heated windscreen, single wide-sweep wiper, tonneau cover, elasticated door and passenger footwell storage nets, remote bonnet and engine cover levers in passenger door sill, engine immobiliser and coded key. Accessories: Colour coded rear spoiler, all-weather kit, Team Renault ELF Michelin clothing. EXTERIOR The arresting two-tone colour scheme finished in desirable metallic pearlescent Sports Yellow, (Code 535), looks incredible and can trace its heritage to the Laguna concept car in 1990. The smooth pebble-like design is uncluttered and muscular with large air-gulping side scoops and attention grabbing ‘beetle-wing’ cantilever doors. Having covered an amazing 2,528 miles, the original condition is virtually flawless and the desirable all-weather kit as new. Close scrutiny will reveal nothing other than miniscule markings and a tiny scratch to the front clamshell on the offside. The jacking point red triangular guide stickers are still attached and the heated front screen has the chassis etching and Renault service sticker. An entirely hand built car and so rare. INTERIOR A definitively sparse and simplistic ‘back to basic’ feel with a modern, minimalist and uncluttered look. Two fabulous Recaro race-style bucket seats offer the perfect degree of lumber and lateral support and are trimmed in waterproof PVC coated knitted fabric with the side parts finished in matt and the central panel featuring a flecked metallic motif in mottled grey, all in perfect condition. Adjustment of the seats and the drilled aluminium pedals via a knob located beneath the dashboard ensures the perfect driving position. Anodised aluminium of the dashboard crossbar and gear knob nicely offset the body-coloured interior panels and the aluminium chassis and cross member are left exposed with only tiny markings visible. All instrumentation functions and looks stunning set in an aluminium-finish bezel contrasting with the futuristic dash top digital displays. As with the rest of the interior, the silicon carbide-reinforced PVC floor covering has no wear and the original Renault Sport steering wheel displays natural veins found only on super low mileage examples. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The engine located transversely amidships is the tremendous 4-cylinder DOHC 150 bhp 16 valve 2.0 litre F7R Clio Williams engine with 0-60mph quoted at 7.05 seconds and a top speed of 134 mph. Presented in factory standard guise with the optional performance exhaust and immaculate in appearance. As with the engine, the 5-speed gearbox is mounted transversely and features effective pendulum suspension to prevent vibrations being transmitted through the chassis. Quick, direct and perfectly reactive to the responsive engine. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Lightweight five-spoke alloy wheels with plated bolts are shod in the original premium 205/50 R16 Michelin Pilot SX tyres with masses of tread. Big 300mm ventilated disc brakes all-round taken from the larger and heavier 166 mph A610 Turbo rein in the exuberant performance of this super-lightweight Spider. HISTORY FILE This UK RHD Renault Sport Spider is one of just 100 examples made and was supplied by Renault Main Dealers, S.R.Baber of Tonypandy, Wales. With just three former keepers, long term owners from 2000 to 2016 were husband and wife, Mr and Mrs Jackson. Mr Jackson purchased the Spider in 2000 at just two years old whereby upon his passing, the car was registered in his wife’s name, Mrs Linda Jackson-Hookins. In 2016, the car was purchased by Renault Spider collector, Mr Nigel Turner, who has owned several examples and whose enthusiasm and knowledge of the model is vast. He even commissioned a flocked hardback book featuring this actual car! Every conceivable brochure produced for the Sport Spider, hardback books, original Renault Press Pack and Press Launch literature has been collected in the history file including one for the rare Laguna Project headed by Patrick Le Quement. The vehicle handbooks and service book are housed in the factory supplied aluminium briefcase often held back as a souvenir and two sets of Renault keys are supplied. Unrivalled pleasure and a significant part of automotive history. A collection of Renault Main Dealer and specialist invoices and receipts are held in the history file including a documented Cambelt change in 2016 at 2,516 miles. A true collectors piece. Miniscule chips around the fuel filler and a tiny 1cm scratch on the rear bumper are utterly minor imperfections. The black canvas hood is in perfect order with a tight fit and no cracks or damage and the rear plastic window is clear with no crease marks whatsoever. The epitome of a modern classic sports car, preserved to the highest order. INTERIOR Trimmed in the standard Black Cloth upholstery this interior is exactly how Mazda intended. Everything is co-ordinated and operates perfectly. The flawless seats remain in exceptional order and the steering wheel and gear knob show prominent factory veins only found on extraordinary low mileage examples. The classic sports dashboard houses a cluster of crystal clear instruments that function precisely and retain a new car feel. The tailored MX5 over mats remain in place and protect the immaculate black carpeting. The tool kit, wheel brace and covered space saver wheel are all present and spotlessly clean. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION To experience driving a well maintained and cared for Mk 1 MX-5 is a true motoring delight. The lightweight 1.8 litre 16v DOHC engine sits in a truly immaculate engine bay which will amaze onlookers with a level of perfect detailing rarely seen. Quality matching Yokohama 185/60R14 tyres have excellent tread and no cracks. 255mm ventilated discs at the front and solid 251mm at the back install maximum braking confidence. HISTORY FILE This amazing example was registered new by Mazda Main Dealers, Bourne Road Garage of Kent, on 3rd April 1996. Supplied to first owner Mr Mark Sweet with three UK keepers since the incredibly low 20,342 miles from new is fully verified in the history file. The most recent stamped entry at Bridley Mazda of Stourbridge was at 18,964 miles. All handbooks, manuals and spare key are neatly contained in the grey leather Mazda wallet along with an immaculately kept folder containing invoices and every MOT carried out from three years old. Sold in December 2016 by KGF Classic Cars to a customer in France, the car has been professionally stored in his collection before the opportunity to purchase it back was welcomed enthusiastically, knowing that the car would be returning to the UK and that low mileage examples are highly sought after. KGF Classic Cars are delighted to be able to present this stunning example back to the open market ready for a new lucky owner. Dealer options; Britax folding fabric sun roof. EXTERIOR Upon worldwide launch in 1975, the iconic and unmistakable shape of the TR7 led enthusiasts and the motoring press alike to coin the nickname of the ‘Triumph Wedge’. This tremendous example finished in beautiful period Carmine Red, (Code CAA), boasts an excellent uniform finish having been subject to a full photographic restoration, one which has stood the test of time having been completed in the mid 1990’s and indeed the winner of the 1999 TR Drivers Club Concours event. Close inspection will reveal only light markings to the paintwork, utterly insignificant and certainly not detracting from the cars amazing appearance. The trim sections are fully intact and in superb order with only very light scratches to the bumper corners, and the large Triumph crest decal to the nosecone is displayed proudly. The underside is structurally perfect and thankfully free from excess underseal. Without question one of the best remaining examples and truly worthy of any show stand. None of the Triumph magic has been lost in this rare example. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The time tested four cylinder engine with twin SU HS6 carburettors displaces 1998cc with a power output of 105bhp at 5500rpm, it still feels spirited even by today’s standards. The engine bay is spotlessly clean with factory plates and stickers displayed, and the original Unipart labels and Leyland engine settings chart are fully intact. The all synchromesh five speed gearbox feels tight and precise. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The pressed steel disc wheels are dressed in the original unmarked safety ledge polycarbonate wheel trims. The divided hydrostatic braking system with servo assistance offers ample stopping power. HISTORY FILE Built at the Triumph Canley Plant in Coventry between 26-28th February 1979, this example was dispatched on 16th March 1979 to Leyland Main Agents Howells Garages Limited of Cardiff. First registration took place on the 26th November 1979 and just four keepers, all of whom are traced in the spectacular history file, have owned the car since new. A heritage certificate dated 20 December 1996 from the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust confirms build dates, equipment specification and the correct colour scheme of Carmine Red with Red/Black Nyloncord trim. The history file is huge and contains a vast record of annual servicing and maintenance specialist invoices to leave in absolutely no doubt the fastidious upkeep this car has enjoyed, including a full service carried out in September 2017. A full photographic restoration record from the mid 1990’s is within the history file as well as many previous MOT certificates, original early V5 documents and the vehicle handbook. Completing the history file is an original sales brochure and three sets of keys. Having spent many years in the shadow of earlier TR cars, the classic car world is only now starting to embrace the TR7 as a hugely collectable and sought after modern classic. This well sorted, low mileage and beautiful example will not disappoint in any regard, and may be a shrewd purchase judging by values of earlier TR models. MOT October 2018, HPI Clear. An ex Croydon Council Massey Ferguson 20B Tractor in show condition. MODEL HISTORY Founded in 1847 in Ontario, Canada by Daniel Massey, it was not until 1953 that the then named Massey-Harris merged with The Ferguson Company, founded by Harry Ferguson to become Massey-Harris Ferguson. The name was simplified in 1958 to Massey Ferguson to which it remains known today. Widely regarded to have revolutionised agriculture in the western world in the 20th century, it was the collaboration with and subsequent buy-out of Frank Perkins Ltd that later produced the Massey Ferguson 20B Model. This model, first introduced in 1973, was powered by the Perkins AD3.152 three-cylinder diesel unit, an engineering legend in its own right. EQUIPMENT Quick-detaching noise level reducing cab, streamlined fenders, forward hinged fully glazed stay-open doors, hydraulic system with MF quadrant, 3.66gal/min pump, swinging drawbar option, auto hitch, 3-point linkage with chain stabilisers, Cat 1 and 2 interchangeable ball-ends, foot and hand throttle, rear-view mirror, quick-detach radiator grille, cab accessible air filter, windscreen wiper, opening side and rear windows, full lighting set, cab light, cab heater, sunvisor, lunch box, sliding spring suspension seat. EXTERIOR This wonderful 1985 Model 20B is finished in the factory colour of Massey Ferguson Industrial Yellow, (Code P-46), exactly as it was supplied when new to The London Borough of Croydon Council. Subject to an expensive full restoration, this show tractor presents beautifully with a bright vibrant finish and excellent attention to detail. Having enjoyed only light duties and low hours usage, it provided an excellent base to create what is now one of the cleanest examples in existence. Meticulous refurbishment or replacement of trim sections, glass, lights and fittings to an almost new standard has been achieved, and the Massey Ferguson and Croydon Council decals are a wonderful finishing touch. This is the tractor everybody drew as a child, and now the life size version is available to the child at heart or collector seeking the best! INTERIOR Surprisingly well equipped and functional, even down to the operator’s lunchbox! The interior is in superb order with the cab off restoration allowing for the painting of exposed mechanical components and floor sections which remains protected by the ribbed rubber matting. Incredibly, the seat and interior materials were retrimmed by none other than the Trimmers used by Aston Martin, and as such are completed to the highest standard. All functions, lights and controls operate perfectly including the operator comfort features, hand throttle and hydraulic equipment. All dials and gauges provide accurate readings. The battery cover cowling shows light damage to one corner. A clean, unspoilt and utilitarian cab, a far cry from a hard life on the farm! ENGINE & TRANSMISSION Needing little introduction is the world-famous Perkins diesel engine from Frank Perkins Ltd of Peterborough, just a stone through away from KGF Classic Cars headquarters. The three-cylinder AD3.152 unit fitted to this model produces 45hp at 2250rpm and 123lb ft of torque at 1300rpm. The easily accessible engine is clean and displays factory castings and Perkins Engines plate as well as the Massey Ferguson Great Britain serial plate behind the quick-detach radiator grille. The 8 forward and 2 reverse gears in high/low range operate perfectly. An instantly recognisable drum from the Perkins unit sounds characteristically bulletproof and is simply delightful. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Factory correct, the cast steel wheels are painted to match the body and the 6.00-16 front and 12.4-28 R-1 rear tyres were fitted brand new as part of the restoration with virtually no usage since. The tyres even still have the maker’s chalk markings! The outboard drum brakes operate to the large rear wheels only and via a dual brake pedal can operate independently or locked together. HISTORY FILE Registered new on 7th October 1985, the V5 registration document shows the first owner as The Transport Manager London Borough of Croydon. The vehicle remained in the Council’s ownership, proudly displaying their branding on the bonnet, and used only for light maintenance duties in the city parks, and having logged a mere 5811 hours, the equivalent of around seven days’ work a year! In 2010 it was purchased by classic tractor collector, Mr Anthony Lally, who commissioned the full no expense spared restoration to be carried out, where upon completion it sat alongside his Massey Ferguson 165 and Massey Ferguson TE20. Mr Lally’s tractors are used occasionally for shows and even as a wedding vehicle for several friends and family! UK registered, road legal and tax exempt, this tractor can even be driven on a standard driving license. The history file contains the V5 registration document along with Massey Ferguson publications and sales literature. Guaranteed to delight the nostalgic agricultural worker and collector alike, or simply the classic car enthusiast appreciative of all things drivable! MOT exempt, tax exempt, HPI Clear. A delivery mileage Ford Fiesta Mk3 1.4 Ghia with an incredible 137 miles! EQUIPMENT Polycarbonate bumpers with bright insert, grey paint treatment below mouldings, halogen headlights, laminated windscreen, tinted glass, tilt/removable sunroof, locking fuel filler, anti-burst locks, two spoke soft feel steering wheel, tailgate wash/wipe, heated rear window, remote door mirrors, central door locking, remote tailgate release, electric front windows, digital clock, centre console, Ford self-seek model 2006 stereo cassette, tachometer, courtesy light, load compartment light. Dealer options; Ford tailored rubber mats, mud flaps. EXTERIOR With an astonishing and genuine 137 miles from new, this example is most likely to be the lowest mileage in existence! To suggest that this example is as new is a bold statement, but one which is wholly justified with this perfect Fiesta. Perhaps most impressive is the underside which has been preserved in a time warp condition, with all orange PDI markings to the suspension components, yellow paint dots to the springs and factory stickers still intact, all features usually destroyed within the first few hundred miles. In factory original Moondust Silver, (Code 6 2), the paintwork to all factory panels is 100% original and virtually as new aside from a few marks to the bonnet when in storage. The trim sections are perfect and supplying Ford dealer number plates, boot badge and tax disc holder remain fitted. This example is simply as it left the Perrys Ford showroom in 1992, with absolutely nothing painted, replaced or altered. Truly a one-off museum piece. INTERIOR An interior entirely commensurate with a delivery mileage car! The cabin space with Astral fabric trim, (Code L7), is simply as it sat in the showroom awaiting collection by the first owner, even down to the Perrys Ford paper mat! This paper mat is slightly soiled. Ford Rubber mats, as new themselves, have protected the plush non-woven velour Ghia carpets perfectly and all trim sections, controls and switchgear have the new car feel which is lost soon after regular use. Unbelievably, even the green circular PDI sticker to the end of the wiper stalk is still intact! All functions operate flawlessly including the Ford self-seek model 2006 stereo cassette. Probably most nostalgia evoking of all is the new car smell that has been retained, instantly familiar as a Ford and ready to transport you back to a Ford showroom in 1992! Totally originally and impossible to better. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The 1392cc CVH four cylinder engine featuring twin venture carburettor and automatic choke set up produces a lively 75bhp at 5600rpm. A top speed of 102mph and 0-60 is achieved in 10.6 seconds, easily adequate for modern traffic conditions. The pristine engine bay has original plates, fragile paper stickers and factory panel stampings clearly visible. A Ford Motorcraft oil filter and the grey Ford HT Leads remain fitted, and all fluids are clean and clear. A sticker in the engine bay confirms a cambelt change on 2nd February 2018 with one mile covered since! The engine is whisper quiet and the 5-speed manual gearbox feels brand new! WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The factory steel wheels of size 4½ x 13 are in perfect order with the original Ghia full wheel covers fitted and as new. The factory fitted Pirelli P2000 165/65 R13 tyres obviously are amazing with no cracks and even the bobbles and coloured banding are still prominent. The servo-assisted diagonally split brakes with 9½” discs up front and 7”drums at the rear are free and operate correctly. HISTORY FILE Registered new on the 29th January 1992 by Ford Main Dealers Perrys of North Finchley, this exceptional example was purchased by a Mr Oliver Addison Esq, with a sales invoice in the history file made out to him illustrating a price paid of £9,700 after a discount of £1300.84. Sadly, just days after purchasing the car Mr Addison was diagnosed with serious illness and never drove the car again despite taxing the car every year until his passing in 1995. Having covered just 136 miles the car was given to his daughter, Miss Judith Addison, who does not drive but could not bare to part with it so it subsequently went into her garage where it remained until January 2018. Thankfully the garage also housed the homes boiler which helped to keep the car warm, dry and preserved perfectly as evident today. The car has then been sold to a good friend of Miss Addison. The history file contains the original blue and current V5 documents confirming ownership from Father to Daughter as well and the handbooks and a typed history from Miss Addison. A highly collectable and desirable Ghia model Fiesta, effectively a brand new car and priced identically to the invoice price in 1992. MOT February 2019, HPI Clear. Dealer accessories; Tracker anti-theft device, tailored carpet mats. EXTERIOR Finished in factory optional Lapis Blue Metallic, (Code L3AB), the original paintwork is simply incredible owing to regular professional paintwork preservation treatment and having been strictly garaged from new with dry usage only. The incredibly low mileage of 36,547 miles covered by just two fastidious owners is entirely evident in the condition of this example, whereby even meticulous scrutiny will find nothing other than a miniscule touched in stone chip to the rear quarter. A spotlessly clean underside will greet those wishing to carry out a ramp inspection. The UV-resistant hood in optional Metropole Blue is perfect in both operation and condition, and the rear screen is perfectly clear with only one small mark. All trims sections and badges are as new and the supplying Porsche dealer sticker is displayed in the windscreen. An exceptional car in a condition far superior to the usual offerings, one of the best without question. INTERIOR Typical Porsche quality is to be expected in this well-appointed sports car cabin space. The Metropole Blue full leather upholstery (Code E3), an expensive option when new and almost black in appearance, has remained in beautifully clean condition with virtually no wear visible. The carpets are spotless having been protected from new by tailored Porsche over mats, and the steering wheel displays natural prominent veins, a feature lost on higher mileage examples. Beautifully clean dual cargo areas reflect the minimal use and the factory build sticker to the bonnet underside and Mobil 1 sticker in the rear compartment bolster this cars total originality. Effortless folding of the electric hood transforms this every day roadster into something truly special, with endless scope for open top enjoyment and exhilaration. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION Fitted with the robust flat six Porsche Boxer Engine, namesake to the Boxster, this powerplant requires little introduction. Controlled by the Motronic ME7.2 engine management system, Porsche Engineers developed 248hp from the 3,179cc unit to allow 0-62mph in just 5.9 seconds with a top speed of 161mph! The punchy raw sound delivered from the standard exhaust system is guaranteed to set the pulse racing. The 6-speed manual transmission is short and incredibly direct with immediacy exactly as you would expect from Porsche. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The original 17in twist spoke alloy wheels with Porsche centre crests are in perfect order, and fitted with the correct brand and size Michelin Pilot Sport tyres all round, 205/50 ZR17 and 255/40 ZR17 front and rear respectively with good tread levels. The ABS assisted braking system incorporates 4-Wheel ventilated and cross-drilled discs with 4-piston fixed monobloc callipers. The correct Boxster S specification Porsche Red painted callipers are clearly visible through the spokes and hint towards the racing pedigree infused within the cars genes. HISTORY FILE Registered new on 28th April 2002 by Porsche Main Dealers, Stratstone of Wilmslow, the first registered keeper being a Mr Phillip Monk. A new vehicle sales invoice depicts a purchase price of £41,421.61 including factory options and accessories spend of £2,689.87. Mr Monk kept his pride and joy strictly garaged with regular professional paint preservation undertaken, and the incredibly low 36,547 miles have been covered in dry conditions only. In 2014 the car was sold to family friends of Mr Monk, Mr and Mrs Dunn, who have thankfully continued his fastidious care for this amazing example. Rarely does such a car come with service history as comprehensive and consistent as this, with this example benefitting from full Porsche Main Dealer service history carried out by the supplying dealer. The service book displays 11 stamped entries with the last service carried out at 34,449 miles, and all stamps have corresponding invoices neatly filed. The black Porsche leather wallet contains all handbooks, guides and dealership point of sale material as well as the factory master key in addition to the two main keys. Even the Official Porsche leather sunglasses case remains in the car! Wanting for absolutely nothing other than the next appreciate owner to enjoy the merits of the cars privileged existence. One of only 67 UK RHD Renault Alpine A610 Turbos with just 2,901 miles. MODEL HISTORY Jean Rédélé was the youngest Renault Dealer in France and launched his first car in 1954, naming it after the classic French road trial. The A106 had early success in the Mille Miglia Road Race and was the beginning of a fruitful mutual partnership between Alpine and Renault. With continual rally success by 1968 Alpine had been allocated the whole Renault competition budget and opened a new assembly plant in Dieppe. Iconic cars including the A108, A110, A310 and GTA/A610 were hand built there but thanks to high assembly costs and low demand, (due to the cost when new), only 818 A610 Turbos were made when production ceased in 1995 of which 67 were RHD. The Alpine factory remained open building cars such as the Clio Williams and RenaultSport Spiders and in 2017 the Alpine marque was relaunched with an all-new A110. EQUIPMENT Impact-resistant reinforced lightweight composite body, integrated side skirts, front and rear spoilers, aerodynamic flat underbody, pop-up halogen headlights, twin exhausts, 6-speaker stereo system, air conditioning, power steering, one-touch electric windows, turbo pressure gauge, multi-function trip computer, dash rheostat, electric heated door mirrors, folding rear 2+2 seats, leather-bound sports steering wheel. EXTERIOR The uncluttered lines and painstakingly designed details of the Alpine A610 combined with carefully-honed aerodynamics result in a stunning supercar appearance. Finished in immaculate Rouge Vernis, (Code 075), the glossy shine is perfectly uniform and all decals and badges are present. Some paint to the integrated side skirts and a wing mirror to uphold the immaculate appearance has been carried out. All glass, rubbers and wheel apertures are as new. Having been owned by Renault Retail Group this car has enjoyed a pampered showroom life and is incredible. INTERIOR The ergonomically-designed ‘Petale’ sports seats finished in optional Grey leather are immaculate and along with the rest of the interior, commensurate with the amazingly low 2,901 miles covered. All dials, gauges and electronic displays function perfectly including the heater fan on all speed settings. The leather-bound sports steering wheel with the Alpine Blue logo in the centre has no wear. A common issue with this model and its predecessor, the GTA, is the headlining. This example has had the headlining replaced to exact manufacturer standards. Under bonnet and engine compartment is as new with all stickers, plates and labels still attached. A very exclusive and rare environment. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION A light alloy 2975cc V6 engine equipped with an electronically controlled Garrett T3 turbocharger produces 250 bhp which is enough to propel this Supercar to a top speed of 165.6 mph and 0-62 in 5.7 secs. Ownership by the Renault Retail Group and a recent service by a Renault Main Dealer in October 2017 will help ensure reliability. The 5-speed aluminium alloy gearbox performs faultlessly. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Fitted with immaculate and optional 16in Spider alloy wheels shod in new Continental Sportcontact2 tyres all-round of 205/45 R16 front and 245/45 R16 rear dimensions. The original Michelin MXX tyres as fitted from new are also supplied. Front and rear ventilated discs with Bosch 5-sensor ABS brakes stop this supercar quickly and safely. HISTORY FILE A fascinating and privileged history. This example is chassis number 85049 and is the earliest Alpine A610 on the Renault Alpine A610 Register. It is reputedly the very first RHD example made and was snapped up when new by a wealthy international collector. Offered back to Renault in 2001 it was purchased by the Renault Retail Group U.K under the supervision of Stuart Walker, a long time Alpine-Renault fan who enjoyed various roles during his 32 year career with Renault including the Managing Director, Renault Retail Group U.K. Club Alpine Renault would often arrange an Alpine-Renault day at the Renault Dealership in Cannock where this car featured centre stage and reputedly could have been sold many times over! The window display notices and POS are included in the history file from when the car was on display at Renault. Since leaving Renault UK in June 2015 the car has been owned by two collectors including Mr Rory Johnstone, owner of Classic Throttle Shop, Australasia’s largest classic car showroom in Sydney’s Lower North Shore. Previous MOT certificates, spare keys and even period accessories such as a rare Alpine Renault mug, Renault Winter Pack and genuine Alpine leather key fobs are included. The car has had a recent service by a Renault Main Dealer in October 2017 and is ready for the next lucky custodian. MOT February 2019, HPI Clear. All trim sections, correct Carello lenses and RS decals are as new, and the supplying Ford dealer number plates remain fitted. The eagle-eyed RS Turbo expert will note the black casing to the door mirrors, correct for a car with optional heated/electrically adjustable door mirrors. A totally original, unspoilt and preserved example, very difficult to better. INTERIOR Presented in perfect order, the fully adjustable and supportive Recaro seats show no wear to the Daytona Raven fabric, (Code SW). The carpets are pristine having been protected from new by two sets of quality floor mats, and the door cards are spotless with none of the common sun damage to the inner door handles, virtually unheard of for an Escort Mk4! The boot area is immaculate with original build stickers to the floor and a straight uncut parcel shelf. A outstanding 1980’s RS Ford interior. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The 1.6 OHC (CVH) fuel injected engine with a Garrett AiResearch T3 turbo charger and intercooler produces 132bhp at 5750rpm and 180Nm of torque at 2750rpm. In a car weighing just 1325kg, this featherweight contender completes the 0-60 dash in 8.2 seconds and a top speed of 128mph is achieved. An immaculate engine bay allows bonnet up exhibiting with factory panel stamps, wing stamps and all plates and stickers intact. The owner used strictly Ford Motorcraft service items only, a standard upheld throughout. The 5-speed manual Ford BC box is light and precise with crisp clutch action. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The unmistakable RS Turbo light alloy 6X15 RS wheels remain in pristine order with Ford logo and part number stampings clearly prominent. Matching quality Pirelli Cinturato C1 195/50 R15 tyres, fitted brand new in 2017, are virtually unused and the spare is the original Dunlop SP Sport D40 item. This fast Ford RS legend stops as well as it goes with the ABS braking system designed in conjunction with Lucus Girling working perfectly. HISTORY FILE Built in October 1986, this very early Series 2 was registered new on 9th January 1987, the supplying Ford Main Dealer being E Ward of Wellingborough. The first and only keeper, Mr David McGann, registered the car to his business name, David McGann Motor Spares and Accessories Ltd, before transferring ownership to his private name upon retirement. KGF Classic Cars purchased the car direct from Mr McGann, and learnt from him that it was used in the initial years to attend business meetings for the starting up of the association that was later to become A1 Motor Stores. Thereafter, the car was used solely for leisure use whilst always kept in his heated and dehumidified garage alongside his 1969 Cortina 1600E which he has, and still does, own since 1971! His dedication and love for this RS Turbo was simply wonderful and truly infectious, even down to the use of wine bottle corks used to lift the wiper arms off the windscreen so as to preserve the rubber blades! Furthermore, Mr McGann, a qualified Ford Motor Vehicle Engineer, kept a detailed maintenance log since new and throughout, after the first service at E Ward did not meet his expectations, (complaint letter in the history file!), causing him to handle vehicle upkeep himself from then on. The original E Ward document holder contains all vehicle handbooks, guides and dealership literature as well as the service book and a workshop manual. Previous MOT certificates date back to 1991 along with vehicle invoices and even tax discs since 1987. Completing the history file is the original blue V5 document, RS Turbo sales brochure, supplying dealer tax disc holder and spare key with dealer fob. KGF Classic Cars are privileged to both have met Mr McGann and present this amazing example to the market, ready for the next dedicated custodian to enjoy. MOT September 2018, HPI Clear. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The original 15-hole alloy wheel rims suit the car perfectly and are well presented with only light markings and scratches visible. HISTORY FILE Supplied new on the 8th January 1991 by Mercedes-Benz Main Dealer, Rawsons T.M.S Ltd of Kent, this UK example has covered just 64,801 miles from new with only two former keepers. The first custodian, Mrs Valerie Botting for 20 years, transferred ownership to her son Haydon Botting in 2011. He enjoyed the car for a further five years for pleasure and weekend use only before selling the car to a dedicated Mercedes enthusiast. The car has remained in the ownership of appreciative individuals who have preserved the car in totally standard form and upheld the required servicing. There are 19 stamped entries along with supporting invoices in the original service booklet, which even still has the factory build codes in the rear cover. All other handbooks, guides and dealership literature remain in the plastic document wallet. Completing the history file is an original sales brochure and two sets of Mercedes keys. The Mercedes-Benz W126 line is essentially a byword for outstanding build quality and engineering refinement, and this low mileage example offers truly capable everyday classic motoring for those wishing to appreciate this German marque at its pinnacle level.
