    £14,995

FOR SALE A splendid Austin Seven Basic Mini Saloon in show condition EQUIPMENT All steel unitary construction, double-dip headlamps with foot operated dip switch, hinged rear number plate, sliding windows, one sun visor, floor mounted starter switch, central instrument dial, oil pressure warning lamp, drivers seat adjustable, wide door pockets, flashing indicator stalk, fresh air heater, front ashtray. EXTERIOR This stunning very early Austin Mini is finished in hard wearing Farina Grey, (Code GR11), and is virtually flawless with an impressive glossy shine. Being the Basic model no bright inserts are found in the window rubbers and correct features such as the body colour petrol filler cap and rear number plate lamp in black remain fitted. Considered by some as running prototypes the early production models had distinguishing features such as the non-recessed glass apertures and flat sills. These cars were 50kg lighter than the standard production car. The wavy chrome grill and correct boot script are in excellent order. Wheel arch apertures are incredibly clean and the underside is body coloured. Cuteness in abundance! INTERIOR Being the Basic model the seats are finished hard wearing Grey Woven Cloth that have been meticulously recreated by Hunters of Brora Ltd and look absolutely fabulous. The cream Austin speedo is beautifully preserved and sits fully functional on the painted board dash lining. Unique features are still fitted such as the flat switch panel, centre hinged sun visor and the rear view mirror with a long slender stem and pinch bracket to hold the glass finished in crackle black. Thick pile grey carpeting and matching woven cloth door cards have been professionally tailored and replace the rubber mats. The floor mounted starter button remains in situ. Simply divine. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION A water cooled, overhead-valve four-cylinder engine mounted transversely has a cubic capacity of 848cc and produces 34bhp. The engine is whisper quiet and is still the factory supplied unit with matching numbers. Early production car features such as the metal oil filler cap and metal filler caps for the master cylinders are still fitted. The correct DR2 wiper motor and heater take off tap accessed from the engine bay on top of the head is fitted. The cylinder head has been converted to run on unleaded. The engine bay has been detailed for bonnet-up showing and creating a ‘wow’ factor The original 4-speed gearbox works well and is operated via the correct straight gear stick as fitted only to early cars. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Pristine JBW Minilight alloy wheels with new Falken 145/80 R10 tyres have been fitted. Braking to all four wheels is hydraulically operated by a pendant pedal with two leading shoes at the front. The handbrake lever is the correct type with the chrome button. HISTORY FILE Built on the 18th November 1959 this example is one of the most iconic of all the Minis as it was built within the first three months of the public launch date of the 26th August 1959 as confirmed by the Heritage Motor Centre. These early built cars possess a uniqueness with individual build differences before full scale production, standardisation and the ‘facelift’ in October 1960. With only three owners from new this example has a fascinating history all catalogued in the history file. The first owner enjoyed the car for six years before a Mr Mucklejohn purchased the car for his son, Ian, in 1965. Only used by Ian for two years before being hit head-on by a Ford Cortina. Fortunately Ian suffered only minor injuries and even kept the newspaper extract dated the 10th February 1967 where the Cortina driver was fined £10 with a licence endorsement! A Front End number of FE68802 confirms dating of August 1960 to the body after the repairs. While the vehicle was being repaired Ian purchased a Hillman Imp which he preferred to drive so once the Mini was returned it lay idle and unused. In 1999 after 32 years of being off the road Ian decided to have the vehicle restored to ‘as new’ condition with an invoice presented for the privilege of £14,726.90. After 50 years of ownership KGF Classic Cars were delighted to sell the car to the third keeper, Mr Robin Guest who has now decided to sell in order to concentrate on his primary passion, motorcycles. A history file comprising of wonderful period artefacts including letters, photos and period literature are included along with a certificate from the 1959 Mini Register & Mini Magazine identifying this example as a surviving 1959 Mini and thus formed part of the Mini 50th anniversary celebrations. The virtually spotless factory panels are completely free from corrosion or damage, as is the underside having been protected from new with rust proofing treatment. The devoted long term keeper even routinely removed the inner door cards to apply additional wax to the door bottoms, despite the car being strictly garage stored and never ever used in the rain! This unmolested showpiece displays the supplying dealer number plates and the optional acrylic headlamp covers fitted from new. The trim sections are excellent aside from small hairline cracks to the C-pillar covers. Any Montego is now a rare survivor, this example is almost beyond comprehension! INTERIOR A pristine, unaltered and period interior is sure to delight and amaze fans of Austin Rover cars. The original Zenith Cloth trim in Flint, (Code LCG), remains unworn with absolutely no damage whatsoever. The matching colour keyed door cards and headlining are superb, and the cut pile carpets are beautifully preserved having been protected by two sets of mats. All functions and controls operate perfectly and the dashboard and associated switchgear are as new. The fastidious owner even tailor made a cover for the dashboard and sheaths to place over the door lock buttons to protect them from the sun! The factory fitted Phillips R570 radio cassette remains fitted and operational. With a reputation for fragility, the exceptional interior of this cosseted Montego is a credit to its devoted owner. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION This Montego LX features the standard 1598cc OHC four cylinder engine with electronic carburettor control developing 86bhp at 5600rpm. With a top speed of 103mph and 0-60 covered in 11.2 seconds, this car feels lively and surprisingly refined. The engine bay is beautifully clean, unaltered and displays factory panel stampings, plates and even fragile stickers. The five speed transmission is light, smooth and effortless. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The standard 14in wheels wear the original and correct 1.6LX specification hubcaps in perfect order, un-badged as specified by Rover. The 185/65 R14 tyres have good tread remaining and the original Goodyear tyre remains fitted and unused to the spare wheel. The Austin Rover polystyrene circular insert holds the jack, wheel brace and hub cap puller. Diagonally split dual circuit brakes with servo assistance and front discs bring the car up straight and steady. HISTORY FILE Registered new by the Rover Group MCP Department as a company vehicle on the 20th June 1991, the first and only private keeper purchased the car when it was just ten months old on the 23rd April 1992. Rover Main Dealer, Henlys of Northampton, supplied the vehicle to Miss Zoe Waterfield after she specified particularly that she wanted a Flame Red Montego with electric windows, sunroof and central locking! The used vehicle invoice in the colossal history file illustrates the price paid of £6,500 and is accompanied by the Henlys pre-sale checklist and welcome letter. To say that Miss Waterfield is renowned and respected within the Austin-Rover community is a huge understatement, and her dedication to her beloved brand knows no limits with countless visits to Longbridge and even actively protesting the BMW takeover of Rover in January 1994. Her fanatical following even earned her rare and confidential items such as Top Secret ‘Introducing the Austin’ and Pocket Guides held by Austin Rover Sales staff only, all retained in the Henlys wallet alongside the original stamped service booklet, handbooks and dealership literature. Despite the low mileage of just 48,365 and the car being stored throughout each winter, the beautifully presented and chronological history folder is simply huge. Virtually every MOT certificate, invoice, receipt and even a journey log have been kept. Furthermore, there are articles, club membership literature, photographs and awards as well as three sets of keys including the grey master. An unmissable opportunity to acquire one of the best, unmolested and original Montego’s in existence. MOT June 2018, HPI Clear. Factory options; Air conditioning, metallic paint. EXTERIOR Finished in the factory optional launch colour of Moondust Silver, (Code 61), this example is identical to the car used in the iconic and award winning Steve McQueen Bullitt recreation TV advert. The stunning Ford ‘New Edge’ lines of the Puma seem to defy their age and the paintwork boasts a bright polished shine and uniform finish with only minor age related markings. The often troublesome rear arches are remarkably rust free, although there are a few tiny touched in stone chips on the bonnet and nearside door. The original supplying dealer number plates remain fitted along with the rear screen sticker. The trim sections and badges are excellent and the styled lighting units are original and remain crystal clear. Strictly garaged by the only owner from new, this stylish and chic Ford coupe is very rarely seen in such preserved condition. INTERIOR The sporty feel of the Ford Puma certainly continues one inside the snug cockpit which somehow manages to offer space and comfort for front seat occupants whilst not losing the sports car sensation. The original Chrome/Twill trim, (Code VJ), is superb with the spotlessly clean seats free from wear or damage. The low mileage credentials are clear to see in the preserved carpets and steering wheel leather sides, usually worn on most examples, which are excellent. The controls and switchgear are as new and all functions operate perfectly, including the optional air conditioning. The immaculate luggage area displays factory build stickers to the boot floor and both the parcel shelf and carpet are perfect. A well-made and lovingly protected interior, complete with the new Ford smell! The power delivery is incredibly flexible and energetic with 85 per cent of peak torque being available at just 1500rpm. The air induction system is tuned for a raspier sound and combined with a free revving engine this power plant is immensely rewarding. Ford Main Dealer maintained from new this engine is eager to please, and housed in a pristine engine compartment displaying factory plates, stickers and original panel stampings. All factory panels are damage free with straight shut lines, and the underside free from excess underseal allows easy structural inspection. The registration etched glass, lights, badges and trim sections are in fantastic order including the incredibly rare and desirable front grill with integrated Hella driving lamps. This totally unmolested example even retains supplying dealer branded plates, rear screen sticker and tax disc holder! The original Donegal Tweed trim in Grey-Black colour scheme is spotlessly clean and in excellent order. The matching colour scheme door cards and headlining are pristine, and the carpets are beautifully preserved having been protected from new by tailored Vauxhall floor mats. The immaculate boot floor has the factory insulating panels and the original polystyrene moulding holds the jack and wheel brace. A very comfortable Vauxhall interior reminiscent of a simpler motoring era. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION This Cavalier L features the 1600S OHC four cylinder engine with Varajet II carburettor and automatic choke developing 90bhp at 5800rpm and 93lb/ft of torque at 3800rpm. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Five factory original 5J wheels are in amazing preserved condition and remain fitted with the near irreplaceable correct L specification hubcaps. Incredibly, even the original Michelin XZX 165 SR13 tyres remain fitted to all five wheels, and whilst showing plenty of tread renewal due to age would be a wise safety precaution. Diagonally split dual circuit brakes with servo assistance feature 9.3in front discs and 7.9in rear drums to bring the car to a steady and assured halt. HISTORY FILE Registered new by Vauxhall Main Dealers Gold Star Garage of Cannock on the 4th August 1983, this exceptional example has covered just 25,619 miles with four traceable owners. First keeper, Mr Frederick Edwards, owned the car until 1998 at which point only 1,800 miles had been covered! Letters from Mr Edwards regaling the story of his father’s car are in the history file. The previous keeper Mr Keith Richardson, an avid classic Vauxhall enthusiast and member of the Cavalier and Chevette Club has owned the car since September 2012. Throughout this time the car has won various club awards including Best Mk2 in Show and winner at Billing 2013. The car even featured in the BBC show, James May’s Cars of the People, with film shoot photographs in the history file. The neat chronological history folder is simply colossal and includes the original purchase invoice made out to Mr Edwards for the sum of £5,400. A huge collection of receipts, invoices and MOT certificates date back throughout the cars lifetime to fully verify the mileage and evidence devoted upkeep. There have been three documented cambelt changes. The original Vauxhall plastic A5 wallet contains all book packs, guides and dealership literature and a new car sales brochure is included. Just three keepers from new have cherished this example the last being the owner of the very first Escort Cosworth to roll of the production line and also in possession of the Escort Cosworth owned by the designer himself, Stephen Harper. The original dealer branded document wallet houses all the handbooks, guides, sales leaflet, guarantee cards and accessories brochure. This example, the feature of a Retro Ford magazine feature in 2006, had previously undergone a full restoration from the original Carnival Red RS2000 whereby a replacement body was utilised. A stunning homologation BMW E30 M3 Motorsport with just 28,634 miles. MODEL HISTORY The E30 M3 debuted at the 1985 Frankfurt motor show. Produced at the Milbertshofe factory in Munich with the drivetrain assembled by special teams and the chassis thoroughly reworked by BMW Motorsport in every significant area. The only reason for this iconic vehicles birth was to allow BMW to compete in Group A racing where a minimum of 5000 road going examples had to be built. These vehicles are therefore incredibly similar to the successful competition versions and just 5300 North American AK03 models were produced in total. (Source BMW M Registry). EQUIPMENT Limited-slip differential, MacPherson strut front axle with anti-dive and reinforced anti-roll bar, sports tuned suspension, dual ellipsoid headlamps, front air dam, rear air dam, plastic boot lid with rear wing, flared wheel arches, heated side mirrors, heated door locks, heated screen washer nozzles, M3 insignia in grille, black satin chrome finish, M Technic leather sports steering wheel, leather gear knob and gaiter, central locking, power front windows, electric sliding roof, opening rear quarter windows, map lights in the rear view mirror, glove box torch, BMW sports seats, contoured rear seats, toolbox in boot lid, oil temperature gauge, M Technic instrument cluster, service interval indicator, outside temperature display, check/control info centre, OBC II, cruise control, air conditioning. EXTERIOR This fantastic example is finished in Zinnobar Red, (Code 138), and retains an amazing gloss finish. Attractive from any angle the 12 unique body panels designed to reduce drag are virtually free from damage and reflect the cossetted low mileage ownership. The Sheet Moulding Composite lightweight bootlid is perfect and the plastic extra wide side-sills show slight markings and fade due to the first paint credentials. The flared wheel arches, large low-slung air dams and extra-wide side sills all help accentuate the dynamic looks. The glass to the Bosch ellispoid headlights have lost a little clarity. All the correct M3 insignia remains intact and the bumper-mounted side marker lights are still fitted. A true icon in a rare unmolested condition. INTERIOR Finished in Natur Bison leather, (Code 0295), the M3 sport seats offer superb body support at all times and are near factory perfect thanks to the low miles covered. Arched around the driver, the accurate clear instruments, switches and levers are in just the right place and the unique instrument cluster with red needles, an M logo and an oil temperature gauge under the tachometer remind the driver how special this car is. The anthracite headlining and door cards are spotless and carpeting has been protected by genuine BMW carpet mats from new. The chassis tag remains in place on the undamaged dash and the electric windows and sunroof operate smoothly. The BMW glove box torch is present but amazingly so are the genuine chassis stickers often lost on the first wash. The boot is immaculate and a full BMW tool kit is present. Near new perfection. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION In the heart of this M3 is the compact and high-revving four-cylinder 16-valve S14 engine displacing 2.3 litres and developing 195 BHP at 6750 rpm. Lifting up the bonnet will reveal show winning detail and cleanliness desired by exhibitionists with all originality retained throughout such as the yellow coloured factory wax and chassis stickers to both front wings. The original Getrag 265 five-speed manual gearbox is precise and a delight to use. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The original 15 inch Cross Spoke light alloy wheels are included with the car shod in 205/55 R15 tyres. Fitted are genuine BMW BBS 17 inch Cross Spoke light alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot 215/40 ZR17 front and 245/35 ZR17 rear tyres. A twin-circuit brake system with ABS and swing-caliper discs, ventilated at the front bring the car to an assured confidence inspiring holt. HISTORY FILE This iconic AK03 model was produced on the 17th October 1988 for the North American Market and was quickly snapped up by a Japanese collector frustrated that all 395 examples destined for this market sold out. Remaining in his cossetted ownership until January 2014 a substantial bundle of service documentation exists despite the low miles covered. Australian classic car dealer, Martin Bukkos of Mansle Pty Ltd sourced the vehicle who subsequently sold it to our UK collector, Mr Gary Sears. Mr Sears wanted the best, lowest mileage BMW E30 M3 available and his worldwide efforts and expense fortunately resulted in this wonderful car coming to the UK in August 2014 whereby all duties were paid and the car UK registered. Now made available for a fortunate second UK owner due to Mr Sears expanding his rare classic Ford collection which is his true passion. All handbooks and M3 supplements remain and the history file is neatly contained in a smart presentation case. MOT May 2018, HPI Clear. £44,795

FOR SALE An iconic Ford Sierra RS Cosworth with just 32,521 miles from new. MODEL HISTORY The Sierra RS Cosworth project was defined in the spring of 1983 by the then recently appointed head of Ford Motorsport in Europe. It was established that at the time, Ford was no longer competitive in this area. After receiving full support from Ford Public Relations, the project was underway with the Sierra chosen as the basis for the task ahead. Ford Motorsport in Europe approached the automotive company Cosworth who answered positively, but put up two conditions: The street version of the car had to produce no less than 204 HP, and Ford had to accept no less than 15,000 engines. The project would only need about 5,000 engines, but Ford nevertheless accepted the conditions. The extra 10,000 engines would later become one of the reasons Ford also chose to develop a four door, second generation Sierra RS Cosworth. Few cars have ever been greeted with such enthusiasm as the original Sierra RS Cosworth. EQUIPMENT Bodyside mouldings, integral front air dam, colour coded door mirrors, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, colour coded lockable fuel filler cap, bonnet cooling vents, halogen headlamps, integral front driving lamps, colour coded bumpers with front moulded overriders, single plane rear wing spoiler, tinted glass all round, extended centre console, leather gearknob, leather three spoke sports steering wheel, cassette storage, electronic sound system (model ECU2) with power amplifier, Recaro Sports front seats, tilt and slide sunroof, tachometer with turbo boost gauge, anti-locking brake system with failure warning light, electric front windows. Dealer accessories; Ford tailored floor mats. EXTERIOR The iconic styling of the Sierra RS Cosworth is instantly recognisable and boasts breath-taking magnificence even after thirty years since launch. Finished in original Ford Diamond White, (code B3), the uniform paintwork is bright and displays a superb polished finish. All panels are factory original with correct ’86 year date stampings and seam welds to the front wings. The exterior trim is in excellent order and the front lower rubber splitter, often distorted, has retained correct shape entirely. The glass displays the original number and dots dated Securit etchings, and accuracy seekers will be pleased to see the original Cibie headlamps fitted with other lenses showing Ford logo and ‘England’ lettering. Supplying Ford dealer number plates and rear screen sticker remain fitted. A truly sensational car commensurate with the incredibly low mileage, and true to the original Ford SVE Department design. INTERIOR The interior of this RS Cosworth is outstanding and exactly as Ford intended. Finished in Ford Roma and Cashmere Grey Velour, (Code S2), the Recaro seats and door trim are spotless and show virtually no wear. Only very light creasing to the driver’s seat base is evident. The carpets are spotless and have remained free from wear having been protected from new by tailored floor mats A second brand new unused set of genuine Ford floor mats is included. The dashboard is completely free from distortion and three miniscule hairline cracks can be seen, only upon very close scrutiny. The standard ECU2 electronic sound system with power amplifier is fully operational and the LCD display to warn of bulb failure and open doors operates perfectly. Even an unused Ford first aid kit remains in the uncut parcel shelf, and the boot insulation panel designed to raise the boot floor to incorporate the larger spare wheel has been retained! A classic and correct Ford RS interior. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION Fitted with the standard 1993cc Dual Over Head Cam (DOHC) engine with the Garrett AiResearch T.03 turbocharger and intercooler, the racing pedigree of this car is truly evident with performance figures quoted of 204bhp, 149mph top speed and 0-60 in just 6.2 seconds. The engine bay will please originality seekers with factory panel stampings on the inner wings, bonnet underside and slam panel. All stickers and plates remain intact, long since lost on most examples. The tough T5 manual transmission is direct and precise, just as you would expect from the low mileage covered. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The standard Rial 15 X 7J Sierra Cosworth alloy wheels and centre caps have been subject to an expensive refurbishment to correct factory finish in Nimbus Grey with diamond cut facings. The original small gold wheel key has been kept. Quality branded continental tyres in the correct size of 205/50 R15 have masses of tread remaining and the spare wheel is wrapped in the original Dunlop SP Sport D40 tyre with tread depth indicator, a feature deleted on the Sapphire Cosworth. Diagonally split hydraulic circuits, anti-lock braking assisted 28.3cm ventilated discs up front and 27.3cm discs at the rear bring the car to a sure and steady halt. HISTORY FILE Manufactured at the Ford Genk plant in July 1986 and supplied new on the 23rd August 1986 by Ford Main Dealers, Vospers of Plymouth, this example has covered a genuine and verified 32,521 miles from new. The large history file contains documentation from new to the present day including comprehensive MOT history and invoices, as well as early Ford service check lists. The Ford Extra Cover Plus wallet contains all handbooks, guides and dealership literature, and the original stamped service book with most recent entry being in July 2016. A documented cambelt change including auxiliary belts was carried out in 2013 with less than 3,000 miles covered since. The previous keeper has just acquired two Capri RS models and has made the difficult decision to part with this example. KGF Classic Cars are honoured to offer this unmolested low mileage example ready for the next custodian. MOT May 2018, HPI Clear. The epitome of a modern classic sports car, preserved to the highest standard. INTERIOR Trimmed in the standard Black Cloth upholstery this interior is exactly how Mazda intended. Everything is co-ordinated and operates perfectly. The high backed seats offering maximum comfort and support and show virtually no wear. The driver’s seat has very slight bobbling. The classic sports dashboard houses a cluster of crystal clear instruments that function precisely and retain a new car feel. The leather trimmed steering wheel with pristine white stitching is as new. The tonneau cover, wheel brace, jack and toolkit are all present and spotlessly clean. The no frills driver focused concept by perfected by Mazda is simply wonderful, and this example affirms the notion perfectly. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION To experience driving a well maintained Mk1 MX-5 is a true motoring delight. The lightweight 1.6 litre 16v DOHC engine sits low and behind the front axle to offer a low centre of gravity and centralised weight distribution making handling perfectly balanced and delightfully responsive. With 113bhp available, a top speed of 115mph and 0-60mph time of 8.3 seconds is achieved. Regular servicing and low mileage, the engine is lively and power flow very smooth. The engine bay is pristine with all factory plates and stickers intact. The close ratio five speed gearbox provides short and positive gear changes. Brilliant! WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES This unmodified Mazda retains its factory fitted 14 x 5.5j alloy wheels, affectionately known as the ‘Daisy’ style. Shod in Pirelli P6000 185/60R14 tyres with excellent tread remaining, the unrestored wheels show miniscule age related markings but still have prominent factory stampings which are otherwise lost upon refurbishment. The space saver spare tyre is unused and has the coloured factory banding still visible. Ventilated front and solid rear discs install maximum braking confidence. HISTORY FILE Registered new on 2nd April 1991 by Main Dealers Follett Mazda of Mayfair, London, this exceptional example boasts credentials of only 22,580 miles covered by just two keepers from new. A new car order form, subsequent purchase invoice and welcome letters from Mazda to first owner, Mr M Gale, reveals the amount paid of £15,750 less a part exchange allowance of £13,000 for his 1990 Mazda MX5! This cherished vehicle has wanted for nothing, and despite the low mileage covered was taken annually, without fail, to a Mazda Main Dealer for servicing by the fastidious first owner. The original service book displays ten Mazda Dealer stamps with supporting invoices. The beautifully presented history file contains further service invoices under the second keeper, Mr M Winters, who was and still is a neighbour of the first owner! Furthermore, every MOT certificate has been kept to fully verify the low mileage, and even all old tax discs have been retained. Completing the amazing history file are all handbooks and guides in the Mazda wallet, owners service log and five sets of keys with original code tags! Original, low mileage and unmolested cars are hard to find, and without question this preserved car fulfils the requirement perfectly. MOT April 2018, HPI Clear. A Big Turbo Ford Escort RS Cosworth with 2,500 miles, one owner and full Ford history MODEL HISTORY The Ford Escort RS Cosworth was a sports derivative and rally homologation special of the fifth generation Ford Escort. It was designed to qualify as a Group A car for the World Rally Championship. It was available as a road car from 1992-96 in limited numbers from Ford’s Specialist Vehicle Engineering, (SVE), group. It combines the hand-assembled engine expertise of Cosworth and the coach-building crafts of Karmann. In order to accommodate the larger Cosworth engine and transmission Ford developed the car around the chassis and mechanicals of its predecessor, the Sierra Cosworth. A very rare car with only 7,145 examples being produced with the first 2,500 units being Big Turbo Homologation cars. (Source Wikipedia, 1995 Edition One RS Brochure and the RS Owners Club). EQUIPMENT Body colour front bumper with black lower extension, front airdam, louvred bonnet air intakes, wing air extraction grilles, integral driving lights and fog lights, driver airbag, padded armrest with cassette storage, oil pressure gauge, turbo gauge, voltmeter, quartz digital clock with ambient temperature, electro-luminescent dials, Ford 2007 RDS radio/cassette. Lux Model equipment; Electrically operated and heated door mirrors, ‘Quickclear’ heated windscreen, heated washer jets, three-spoke leather covered steering wheel, rear centre armrest, rear head restraints, manual sunroof, electric windows, carpeted door bins. EXTERIOR With 200 hours detail development in Fords own Cologne wind tunnel the rally-bred innovation of this model is instantly recognised. Finished in the unique Escort Cosworth launch colour of Mallard Green, (Code 4 2), the finish can be described as impeccable. An invoice in the file for Armourfend paint protection followed by temperature controlled storage and 2,500 careful dry mileage use only guarantees sheer perfection and a factory new appearance. The three-position front adjustable splitter still has the factory chalk marks and the underside is factory correct and spotlessly clean having never been altered from production. The colour-coded fuel filler cap and large door mirrors of early Big Turbo cars along with every inconceivable detail is correct. This one owner Escort Cosworth is the Holy Grail. INTERIOR The interior of this early Escort RS Cosworth Lux Edition is as new and exactly as Ford intended. The Recaro seats finished in the Polaris Grey Hex cloth, (Code LW), are divine with a fullness only witnessed on incredibly low mileage examples never exposed to ultraviolet light. The desirable early leather covered steering wheel with three horn buttons remains fitted. Removable Ford RS Owners Club stickers are affixed to front screen with this being the 94th car registered. Being one of the first 2500 cars the pristine boot area still has the water injection kit never plumbed in and unused to comply with homologation. Most were removed by the Ford dealer to avoid customer confusion but the only owner of this car knew the significance and asked the dealer not to remove it. Seat covers, a supply of genuine Ford paper mats and upmost care help explain why this interior is perfect. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The powerful and well proven Cosworth 2.0 litre 16v turbocharged YBT engine features the larger Garrett T3/T04B turbocharger with a two-stage water/air and air/air intercooler together with an electronically regulated over-boost facility. Being an early car it is also fitted with the desirable Weber-Marelli fuelling and ignition system. The blue painted cam cover denotes a number of significant changes over the older YBG unit of the Sierra RS Cosworth and power is quoted at 225bhp with 0-60 in 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 140mph. Religious annual servicing by the supplying Ford main dealer leaves no doubt to the mechanical wellbeing of this cherished car. The owner even keeping removed spark plugs when new ones were installed. The permanent Ferguson four wheel drive system with 34/66% front/rear power split mated to a MT 75 5-speed gearbox is light and direct. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Genuine Ford RS 8 X 16” five soft-spoke alloy wheels built by Ronal are pristine and still shod in the correct Pirelli P Zero tyres which were specially developed for the Escort RS Cosworth. Unbelievably the tyres are perfectly preserved thanks to being wrapped and the car being off the ground when stored. Electrically-controlled ABS anti-lock system with two microprocessors and ventilated front and rear discs offer immense stopping power. HISTORY FILE Simply astonishing and unrepeatable. This desirable Big Turbo model was built in September 1992 at the Rheine Assembly Plant in Germany and registered new on the 1st January 1993. Supplied by John Grose in Ipswich for £22,402.52 to the only owner, Mr Rick Wildridge who specified the car to be registered with a ‘COS’ suffix private number plate which remains with the car. Ownership has never passed to any other individual, organisation or collector. John Grose have annually maintained this car from new with an impressive 24 service entries catalogued over four service books and every invoice accompanied by each Ford Visual Health Check. Mr Wildridge also insisted that the same trusted John Grose employee, Mr Steve Syrett now the Service Manager, work on the car! This fanatical approach is echoed in every conceivable way from the climatic storage chamber for the car to the near obsessive collection of Escort Cosworth literature spanning 25 years. A Classic Companions ‘This is Your Life’ presentation box neatly documents any expenditure including the 16 fuel station visits using only Shell Super Unleaded with accompanying receipts. A Ford connoisseur will be amazed with all aspects of this example and will no doubt want to claim it to be the very best in the world. All keys with original supplying dealer key fobs, every tax disc, every MOT and all Ford handbooks are supplied. KGF Classic Cars are honoured to be associated with this historically significant Ford Escort RS Cosworth. MOT February 2018, HPI Clear. Preserved with such low miles and cossetted storage the paint finish is spectacular and factory original with only a tiny mark to the drivers door barely noticeable. Exhibitionists will be amazed at the clean underside with factory paint dabs and wheel arch spot welds still visible. The black canvas hood is in perfect order with a tight fit and the rear window is crystal clear with no crease marks. The correct special edition badges remain unmarked. Mazda museum quality. INTERIOR The interior is trimmed in luxurious burgundy leather with grey piping, (Code NA3) and is exactly how Mazda intended being showroom fresh with no wear. Purists will be stunned that the exclusive Harvard carpet mats are still in their polythene wrapping and all factory stickers remain attached including the rear carpet sticker often lost on the first vacuum. Prominent veins on the Momo leather steering wheel and urethane gearknob are indicators only found on very low mileage examples, and the walnut effect trim has one minor mark. The chrome scuff plates still have some of the factory protective film on them. The tonneau cover, tool kit, jack, wheel brace and covered space saver wheel are all present, spotlessly clean and in the case of the tonneau cover still in the manufacturer packaging. Incredible. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The lightweight 1.8 litre 16v DOHC engine sits low and behind the front axle to offer a low centre of gravity and produces 130bhp enough for a 0-60mph in 8.6secs and a top speed of 123mph. Display perfection is guaranteed with all factory markings still present such as red paint dabs on the brake unions and the gold anodised components still shine brightly. The close ratio short throw gearbox provides light and precise gear changes. A new Mk1 MX-5 experience. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES This exceptional Mazda has unique unmarked factory fitted 15inch alloy wheels which are shod in matching Bridgestone 195/50 R15 tyres. The 255mm ventilated discs at the front and solid 251mm at the back install maximum braking confidence. The brake calipers clearly visible through the wide spokes still maintain their silver factory coating. HISTORY FILE Purchased new by Mr Stephen Dawes on the 28th May 1997 through Mazda UK Ltd on the Special Forces programme, the car was subsequently driven to Belgium where it had its 600 mile inspection at Mazda Main Dealers, Garage Aldo. An accompanying invoice and service stamp act as verification. Both Mr Dawes and the car returned to the UK just four months later whereby the owner continued his international military career having little time to enjoy the Mazda. Despite this, carefully and chronologically filed documentation reveals virtually every MOT from the first in 2000, when the car was three years old to the latest advisory free certificate, enabling the mileage to be warranted. Sold in 2016 to his brother, Mr Richard Dawes, this car has only ever had two family owners. A major service was carried out in September 2016 and all documentation, handbooks and a new car sales brochure remain. A full spare set of keys remain unopened in a polythene bag with leather Mazda key fobs. Virtually impossible to find in such original, low mileage and unmolested condition, this car is sure to delight the fanatical collector and is perfectly suited to an enthusiast wanting to experience fun and reliable classic motoring, just as Mazda intended when new 20 years ago! FOR SALE Quite possibly the best unrestored Austin Allegro 1100 DeLuxe with 10,190 miles. EQUIPMENT All steel unitary construction, underbody protection, recessed door-handles, anti-burst locks, safety steering column, Hydragas suspension, laminated windscreen, electric washers, two-speed wipers, flick wipe, exterior door mirror, hazard warning lights, child safety catches on rear doors, fresh-flow ventilation, heated rear window, Quartic steering wheel. Factory options; Brake servo. Dealer accessories; Mud flaps, Radiomobile. EXTERIOR Finished in the extremely rare factory original colour of Mirage, (Code BLVC11), this amazing Series One Allegro has been preserved incredibly well, owing to the remarkable low mileage of 10,190 under truly cherished ownership. The factory paint finish displays only minor age related markings and the chrome bumpers display very light pitting, utterly inoffensive and left untreated so as to uphold originality. Factory wax is visible in door apertures and on the clean underside which is free from excess rust proofing to allow easy inspection. Features unique to the early Series One cars remain correct such as the external bonnet release and the C-Pillar vents screwed from the inside as opposed external screws on later cars. Remarkable originality can be seen in the form of supplying dealer number plates, rear screen sticker and tax disc holder. The original Allegro bonnet and boot badges are fitted as well as the iconic British Leyland emblem fitted to the nearside wing only, just as they were made. This humble DeLuxe model was the entry level Allegro, and as such had no coachline, a feature which is upheld. An almost inconceivable rare survivor against unfavourable odds, very special. INTERIOR The spacious interior of this Allegro is completely original and in perfect preserved condition. The Knit-backed vinyl seat upholstery in Spanish Rose is essentially as new, as are the matching partial door cards and rubber floor coverings, again unique to the Deluxe model. Still fitted is the famous Quartic steering wheel, arguably the most iconic feature of the Allegro to allow ease of access and a better view of the instruments. Widely ridiculed as a concept, the Quartic wheel was phased out in 1974. A reflection of British Leyland quality control can be witnessed with factory glue marks on the headlining and even the chalk line to mark out siting of the instrument binnacle! Incredibly, a factory build tag is still attached inside the boot. Complete with the 1970’s British Leyland smell, this interior is astonishing. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The legendary and time proven A-Series engine of 1098cc displacement is robust, simple and has excellent parts availability. Producing an ample 49bhp and 59lb/ft of torque, this Allegro can hold its own in modern traffic. The engine is wonderfully quiet and whilst the clean engine bay shows natural aging, it is completely original and features factory plates and stickers. Even the Hydragas suspension sticker on the sphere remains intact! The four speed hydraulically operated all synchromesh gearbox delivers light and exact changes complete with the instantly recognisable first gear whine! WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Original pressed steel disc wheels with chrome hub caps are immaculate and shod in quality matching Pirelli P3000 tyres with excellent tread remaining. The well maintained Hydrogas suspension system is free from leaks and allows the car to sit level and correct, and more importantly ride as it should. The hydraulic brake system with 9.68in front discs and factory optional servo bring the car up safe and steady. HISTORY FILE Supplied by Austin Main Dealer, Peter O’Gorman in Essex, this 1973 built 1100 DeLuxe was registered new on the 21st February 1974. A new car retail order form made out to first owner, Miss Joan Earl, confirms a purchase price of £1,100.00 including £11.75 for brake servo, a factory option! A well-known example within the Allegro Owners Club with plenty of stand appearances, including the NEC Classic Car Show, this delightful car nicknamed ‘Violet’ is used to the limelight. ‘Violet’ has been awarded Best Series One Allegro at every Allegro Club International event it has attended! With just three former keepers, the previous of five years being Mr Ian Cole who has been a member of the Allegro Club International for 23 years, and has held in this period positions of Chairman, Director and Membership Secretary. The superb history file contains the original orange Passport to Service and Allegro handbook, as well as a 1974 Austin Allegro range sales brochure. A large history folder is beautifully presented and contains a substantial collection of MOT certificates throughout the cars entire lifetime and maintenance invoices to fully verify the low mileage of 10,190 miles. Furthermore, a record of TV appearances on three separate programmes is included! The original key set remains including the ignition key with very rare eyelet hole to delight the Allegro aficionado. An unrepeatable opportunity to buy surely one of the best unrestored examples of British Leyland motoring history. MOT March 2018, HPI clear. MODEL HISTORY Inspired by the now Late Colin McRae’s victorious Ford Focus RS World Rally Car, the Ford Focus RS was created as a no frills, no compromise road going rally car, a car true to its motorsport roots. Designed in conjunction with Ford Racing Engineers and M-Sport in Cumbria, the RS badge synonymous with the most desirable, high performance Ford vehicles was first introduced to the already accomplished Focus. Only 4,501 examples were built with only 2,147 sold to the UK market. EXTERIOR Finished in the only colour available, striking Imperial Blue Metallic, (Code Q2), perfection seekers will be amazed with the outstanding exterior finish of this low mileage example. With styling cues from the Focus RS WRC project more aggressive polypropylene front and rear bumpers were developed for the Focus RS for extensive downforce and are virtually unmarked with only a few tiny stone chips. The correct Hella fog lights and blue turn indicator bulbs remain fitted and all exterior panels unique to the Focus RS body are pristine. The original supplying dealer number plates and rear screen sticker are affixed as are rare and delicate manufacturer stickers in door shuts and other discreet places often lost with the first wash. The underside is factory correct and clean with factory blue production dabs of paint visible thanks to low mileage dry use and temperature controlled storage. INTERIOR Inside this competition-inspired performance Focus RS is an impressive list of motorsport-derived equipment from a pair of body-hugging Sparco road-race seats swathed in luxurious Racing Black and Blue Leather and Black Alcantara, (Code AR), to aluminium fittings, push button start and a numbered plaque. Having covered just 7,424 miles, the interior condition is flawless and undeniably showroom fresh. The instrument cluster features segregated and individually framed gauges with a bold blue band graphic scheme all functioning perfectly. The desirable and no longer obtainable Focus RS carpet mats remain unused and stored in the boot with a set of standard Focus mats having been used instead to protect the carpets from new. The boot carpet has also been protected by a Ford boot tray. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION At the heart of this Focus RS is the powerful 2.0 Duratec RS four-cylinder 16v engine which can trace its roots to the Focus WRC engine design. With an air-to-water aircharge intercooler, a water-cooled turbocharger and oil-spray cooled pistons, it boosts output to 212bhp at 5500rpm and 310Nm torque at 3500rpm. The maximum speed is 144mph while 0-60 is dispatched in just 6.4 seconds! The engine bay is factory perfect. The Ford MTX-75 gearbox with a heavy-duty AP Racing clutch and Quaife Automatic Torque-Biasing (ATB) differential offers the ultimate rally road car experience. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The pristine 8 x 18inch O.Z Racing wheels manufactured in light aluminium alloy are shod in premium Pirelli P Zero 225/40 ZR18 tyres. Peer through the large openings between the spokes and onlookers will be amazed at the beautifully detailed and spotless Brembo 4-pot calipers and 325mm ventilated discs which generate braking forces exceeding 1.0 g and can halt the car from 100mph in 4.1 seconds. HISTORY FILE Built on 29th April 2003 and registered new on 23rd June 2003, a new car sales invoice from the supplying main dealer, Sandicliffe Motor Group, reveals a purchase price of £19,970 to the first owner, Mr Teear. Ford reputedly made a loss of around £4,000 on each car sold, but such was demand when the cars were new that used examples were sold for more than list price! A further two custodians have cherished this car retaining and filing all documentation neatly and chronically in an A4 folder. The last cambelt change was carried out at Ford Lifestyle Motor Group in September 2013 at 7,288 miles. The warranted miles are now only 7,424. The history files also includes rare collector artefacts such as production cards, key tags and old tax discs. All original handbooks, service books and special RS supplements are contained within the Ford wallet and two keys with RS fobs are present. Virtually unrepeatable. MOT April 2018, HPI Clear. Factory Options; Passenger airbag, CFC free air conditioning, CD player model 2040. EXTERIOR Finished in striking Petrol Blue, (Code C5), available only in late production models between November 1994 and December 1995, this is a very rare colour. The paintwork boasts a uniform shine guaranteed to attract admiring glances. Markings and hairline scratches are visible upon close scrutiny and all exterior trim sections, lights and badges are excellent. The driver’s door weather strip is lifting slightly to the edge. The iconic whale tail spoiler is fully intact and vulnerable black lower extension to the front bumper has retained correct shape. Ford window stickers remain intact including the Ford Security System and supplying dealer rear window sticker. A true Ford RS legend. INTERIOR The interior of this Escort Cosworth Lux Edition is absolutely original and just as Ford intended. The Recaro seats finished in the Polaris Grey Hex cloth, (Code LW), are immaculately clean and free from wear. The seat bases and bolsters remain tight and have retained all shape, and even the delicate piping to the seats have avoided the wear commonly suffered in many examples. The cut-pile carpets are clean and unworn. The standard Ford radio/cassette, Model 2007 RDS sound system remains fitted, as does the optional Ford CD player, model 2040. A Bluetooth Parrot system is fitted but not tested. The boot area is pristine and houses the factory fitted space-saver spare wheel and correct jack. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The original RS Cosworth powerplant warrants little introduction. Fitted with the factory standard Generation Two Ford EEC IV electronic engine management system and Garrett AiResearch T25 turbocharger and intercooler, the motorsport pedigree of this car is obvious. With an impressive output of 217HP, the car accelerates rapidly through 0-60 in 5.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 144mph. The clean engine bay is as Ford intended and displays factory seams and weld dots to the wings along with original stickers and slam panel stamping. Motorcraft hoses and ancillaries remain fitted and genuine Motorcraft filters have been used for servicing. The permanent Ferguson four wheel drive system with 34/66% front/rear power split mated to a MT 75 5-speed gearbox is light and direct. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Genuine Ford RS 8 X 16” five-spoke alloy wheels are in good order with faint markings visible, and quality matching branded 225/45 ZR16 tyres were fitted new in March 2017. Electrically-controlled ABS anti-lock system with two microprocessors and ventilated front and rear discs offer immense stopping power. HISTORY FILE Built in December 1995 at the Rheine Assembly Plant in Germany, this factory specified Luxury model was registered new to its first owner on the 14th March 1996 by Ford RS Agent Bristol Street Motors of Worcester. Just five former keepers in total have enjoyed this example with the last custodian having owned it for four years. An invoice in the history file for £963.83 dated March 2017 details a service, cambelt and tensioner carried out by renowned Cosworth expert Harvey Gibbs of Supreme Car Services. The original Ford wallet contains all handbooks, radio instructions, guides and point of sale literature as well as the red master key with code tag. Completing the history is a folder of invoices and previous MOT certificates. An excellent example of this iconic RS product. MOT February 2018, HPI Clear. EXTERIOR The unmistakably iconic lines of the classic 964 body are instantly familiar, and this exceptional example is finished in the foremost colour for desirability, Guards Red (Code L80K). Having covered a remarkable 16,827 miles with just one extraordinarily fastidious owner from new, the deep mirror shine to the factory original paint finish is impeccable and the car is well known to the Concours Team at PCGB (Porsche Club Great Britain). All trim sections are as new and the cabriolet hood in Black, (Code V9), with clear plastic screen is perfect both in condition and operation, with not a clip or catch out of place. The supplying Porsche Main Dealer number plates and tax disc holder remain fitted, and factory stickers are still affixed to the glass. The wheel tubs and underside are exactly as you would expect for a cherished low mileage car, one which has been strictly preserved and kept true to the original Porsche design. Without doubt one of the best remaining examples of this iconic thoroughbred. INTERIOR Being largely hand assembled, the Porsche 964 model has a quality feel with meticulous attention to detail, and this ultra-low mileage example upholds that notion perfectly. This 964 Cabriolet is trimmed in original Black Leather, (Code LT), and sports seats with red piping were chosen from the factory options list. The anatomically correct front seats show absolutely no wear or colour fade, and the piping is fully intact. Genuine Porsche indented velour floor mats protect the perfect black carpeting, and all other trim sections and quality plastics are as new. Large backlit dials all function correctly and the original working Blaupunkt Bremen SQR46 stereo remains fitted. The front luggage compartment is pristine with an unused tool kit, jack, brace and electric tyre compressor. The important correct factory code sticker, as duplicated in the Guarantee and Maintenance booklet, is attached to the bonnet lid. A truly amazing interior, reminiscent of a 1990 Porsche showroom. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The powerful heart of this 911 Carrera is the famous air cooled, horizontally opposed rear mounted 3.6 litre 250bhp ‘boxer’ engine renown for bullet proof reliability and thrilling performance. Offering a flexible 310Nm of torque, enough to sprint to 62.5mph in 5.7seconds and a top speed of 162mph. To drive a low mileage Porsche 964, one which has been serviced at a Porsche main dealer every year without fail is an unforgettable experience. The desirable 5-speed manual gearbox is reassuringly solid and positive. Absolute Porsche perfection. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Pressure cast light alloy ‘Cup Design’ wheels were specified as an option by the one and only keeper in 1993 at a cost of £2552.34. All four wheels are perfect and are shod in correct 205/50 ZR17 front and 225/40 ZR17 rear Pirelli P Zero Rosso tyres with masses of tread remaining. The anti-lock braking system is allied to large internally ventilated discs that provide remarkable stopping power. Correct and pristine black callipers with the Porsche inscription are clearly visible through the wide spoke apertures. HISTORY FILE Registered new on the 1st August 1990 by Monarch Porsche of Warwick, the history file and credentials to this exceptional example are simply unsurpassable. One fanatical owner from new, 16,827 documented miles and servicing carried out at Porsche Main Dealers every year without a single exception. Mr Maurice Gale ordered the vehicle to his exact specification in October 1989 and joined a ten month waiting list, before eventually taking delivery at Porsche’s Champagne Breakfast and Grand Driveaway day at The Westgate Arms Hotel Warwick, where handover took place. Both the order form and sales invoice for £52,696, along with even the invitation letter to Mr Gale for the new car handover event have been kept in the history. There are two service books containing no less than 26 stamped entries, the original having run out of space. The most recent entry being in 2016 at 16,548 miles, the service history along with every MOT certificate from the first enables the mileage to be fully tracked. A huge and beautifully presented folder of invoices from new are painstakingly filed chronologically, and even include the owner’s personal log of maintenance as well as every single tax disc from new to when they discontinued! Further incredible elements to the history file are product recall notices and event invitation letters from Porsche to Mr Gale, something generally reserved only for highly valued repeat customers. The original sales brochure and valet kit gifted to Mr Gale upon new car handover remains unopened and complete in the luggage area! All handbooks, radio guide with code and point of sale literature are held in the black leather wallet, along with spare keys with remotes, original tags and fobs. Mr and Mrs Gale’s fanatical mentality towards their pride and joy is second to none, and entirely deserved is a rosette awarded at Chateau Impney by two PCGB Concours officials for ‘an example of an exceptionally well kept Porsche’. All four alloys are shod in premium Bridgestone Potenza 225/40 ZR18 front and 295/30 ZR18 rear with ample tread. A stonking Peugeot 205 1.6 GTI with just 46,820 miles and two owners. EQUIPMENT Remote control door mounted mirrors, red inserts in bumper and body side mouldings, rear spoiler, halogen headlamps, two halogen driving lamps, opening rear quarter windows, rev counter, water temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, oil temperature gauge, leather trimmed sports steering wheel, interior courtesy lamp, map reading lamp, glovebox lamp, digital clock, split folding rear seats, three rear seatbelts. Factory fitted options; Sunroof. EXTERIOR Crowned ‘Car of the Decade’ in 1990, the Peugeot 205 has gained iconic status, with the legendary GTi models raising the standard significantly in the hot hatch wars of the 1980’s. This stunning 205 GTI 1.6 finished in vibrant Cherry Red, (Code P3KB), has a beautiful deep glossy shine and polished finish. The lightweight fragile panels are straight and free from the common dings and scuffs and miniscule stone chips to the bonnet edge are barely visible. Remarkably well preserved, this example will stand up to scrutiny, with the bumpers and protective body mouldings remaining in fantastic order, along with all factory fit bronze tinted glass. Constantly garaged from new this is an outstanding unmolested example. INTERIOR Interior revisions introduced for the ‘Phase 1.5’ cars aimed to match the exciting exterior looks, and the most notable changes were to the dashboard and trim design. The Quartet Rouge velour seat trim with black side squabs offers hip hugging support and remains in fabulous condition thanks to careful low mileage low owner use. All the clear sports dials show healthy readings and operate faultlessly, as do the push button switches. The bright red carpeting, anthracite headlining and fully trimmed door cards are in excellent condition. The factory Philips 569 radio cassette player with the standard four speaker system remains fitted and operational, although the letter ‘P’ is missing on the tiny Philips emblem. A glorious period ‘hot hatch’ interior. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The lively performance of the 1580cc XU5JA engine with correct Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection produces 115BHP at 6250 rpm and 98.4 lb.ft of torque. Performance credentials in a car weighing just 850kg are guaranteed to stir up excitement! The spotless engine bay displays factory plates and stickers, and the grey slam panel and paint code indicator remain factory correct. The transmission is the later special close ratio 5-speed BE-3 gearbox with a shorter 5th gear to fully exploit the engines power band. Low mileage and regular maintenance are attributed to the punchy performance and crisp gearbox action. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The instantly recognisable 12 hole 5.5J x 14 alloy wheels are unmarked and fitted with brand new correct Michelin Energy 185/60 HR14 tyres. Incredibly, the spare wheel remains shod in the factory Michelin MXV tyre complete with sticker, and was removed from the underside hanger when new and never seen the road! Dual circuit hydraulic vacuum servo assisted brakes incorporates compensator valves fitted between front and rear brake lines to reduce brake pressure to the rear wheels on heavy braking. Front vented discs with floating callipers and rear drums match the performance dynamics perfectly. HISTORY FILE Registered on the 18th August 1989 by Main Dealer Dickens Peugeot of Chester, this remarkable example has covered just 46,820 miles with two keepers from new, the previous owner, Mr Roger Smith, having purchased the car in May 1990 when the car was just nine months old. Strictly garage stored throughout his long term ownership, Mr Smith has cherished and maintained the vehicle to a high standard with the history file containing extensive invoices for work carried out, complimented with a large file of MOT certificates from the first to present. The black Peugeot A5 wallet containing owner guide, owner handbook, maintenance booklet, warranty/service record and dealer location guide remains with the car. A documented full service including cambelt and water pump undertaken in March 2017 ensures this GTi is ready for the next custodian to preserve and enjoy. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience 205 GTi ownership with an increasingly difficult to find unmolested example. A Morris Minor 1000 De Luxe Charles Ware Convertible with just 3,473 miles EQUIPMENT Mono-construction body, full width one-piece bumpers front and rear, bumper over-riders Triplex safety glass all round, one piece curved windscreen, hinged ventilator panels in front doors, door locks with flush fitting pull-out type handles, fresh air intake heater, driver and passenger crushable sun visors, Leathercloth upholstery, pile carpets, front and rear ashtrays, safety driving mirror, glovebox, full width parcel tray, windscreen washers, speedometer, fuel gauge, oil pressure warning light, dirty oil filter warning light, Windtone horn. Dealer options; Petrol locking cap, wheel discs. Accessories; Boot luggage rack, front seat-belts. EXTERIOR This beautiful Morris Mini Minor is finished in traditional period Smoke Grey and boasts a wonderful deep shine to the quality finish. This example is structurally and cosmetically superb owing to the exceptionally low mileage of 3,473 miles and having been subject to a recent professional refurbishment at a Morris Minor specialist. The chromework to the original bumpers has become slightly thin and light pitting can be seen on the rear light shrouds. All remaining chrome pieces and trim are excellent including the original overriders, unique to the Deluxe model. The glass, rubbers and lenses are all intact and present very well, as do the correct Minor 1000 badges fitted to the boot lid and front wings. A brand new hood in cream with matching tonneau was fitted in 2013 and remains as new. A charming and exceptional example of this quintessentially English countryside tourer. INTERIOR The original Leathercloth upholstery trim in Blue Grey is a fantastic compliment to the exterior colour scheme and has a lovely sense of basic no frills motoring, long since forgotten in today’s modern equivalents! Incredibly, the factory coverings to the seats and matching door cards are commensurate with the mileage and have been preserved with only very minor age related creasing. A tiny inch long slit to the lower driver’s door card is just visible. The expensive and correct blue replacement carpeting is pristine. The 16½ inch Bakerlite steering wheel with Morris badge is completely intact and shows slight natural aging. The large instrument nacelle housing all the warning lights and gauges functions perfectly as do the pull switches exactly as Morris intended. An iconic motoring delight, perfect for whimsical open top drives. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The water cooled, overhead-valve four-cylinder engine has a cubic capacity of 1098cc and produces 48bhp at 5100rpm. The engine starts instantly at the flick of the key and is whisper quiet. The engine bay is a delight with original plates and badges remaining, and the green A-Series engine block is the correct British Standard (381c) 223 Middle Bronze Green. The 4-speed gearbox with synchromesh on 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears operates well. Thoroughly useable and ready for classic motoring enjoyment! WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Disc-type steel wheels with optional chrome disc embellishers are beautifully painted in correct Old English White. Five radial Firestone F-560 tyres of 145 R14 size are fitted and the spare is housed in the lower boot floor alongside the original red jack and wheel brace. Braking to all four wheels is hydraulically operated by a pendant pedal with front 8in and rear 7in drums, basic but effective. HISTORY FILE This wonderful example was registered new on 25th July 1968 as a Morris Minor 1000 Saloon to first owner, Miss Eileen Haydon, who kept the car for a remarkable 44 years until 2012! After only minimal dry usage, the car was garage stored when Miss Haydon ceased driving due to advancing years despite having motability aids fitted whereby it remained for some years, and the read mileage of just 3,473 has been confirmed by the family to be correct. During this time, the garage roof partially collapsed resulting in cosmetic damage to the cars roof. In February 2012, neighbour Mr Al Rodens purchased the car and embarked upon a process on recommissioning the Morris and bringing it into working order. Later that year, the third and last registered owner, Mr Mick Apps, purchased the car and commissioned renowned and established specialists, Charles Ware’s Morris Minor Centre, to professionally convert the car to a convertible. This was undertaken in 2013 with invoices in the history file from them totalling thousands. Completing the superb history file is an original workshop manual, driver’s handbook and sales brochure. This beautiful car is the epitome of British summer classic motoring and will stand up to scrutiny and delight any traditional classic enthusiast. MOT March 2018, Tax Exempt, HPI Clear.
