Finished in opulent Regency Red this car looks striking at any angle. Purists will be astounded by the originality of this cherished vehicle and soon forgive the minor blemishes and dings all revealing an honest factory built example rather than a stripped restored ‘as new’ car. A letter in the history file from the first owner until 2012 confirms garage storage from new and even explains a small imperfection to the bonnet thanks to a mechanic leaving a spanner on the engine! The chrome enhancements, slightly tarnished, still sparkle despite never having been re-chromed and all badges, glass and Lucas headlamps are factory fitted. The ‘Guaranteed Underbody Protection Sticker’ and ‘Triplex Electrically Heated’ stickers as attached from new and are still present on the front and rear screens. Incredibly rare, unique and virtually unrepeatable. INTERIOR Manufactured on the 3rd June 1970 this incredible E-Type Jaguar still has factory fitted interior. Fully upholstered in finest quality Black Vaumol leather over deep Dunlopillo cushions only found on grand marques, it offers a unique combination of patina, aroma and natural grain. Unbelievably the headrests have never had the protective clear wrapping removed and there is a small mark to the centre console. The deep pile carpeting can be lifted to reveal original thick underlay and pristine metal floors. All Smiths gauges, smooth contour rocker type switches operate correctly and the 160mph speedometer reminds the driver of the sporting credentials. The three-spoke lightweight alloy steering wheel with wood rim proudly displaying the growler badge is divine. A real automotive indulgence. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The desirable six cylinder 4.2 litre XK engine with twin overhead camshafts and three S.U carburetters produces 265bhp and performs impeccably with silky smooth power delivery thanks to the very low mileage credentials and expert maintenance. Labels and stickers attached from new are still visible on components. Only available on the flagship 2+2 FHC is the optional automatic Borg Warmer Model 8 with dual drive range D1/D2 and it performs faultlessly. A beautifully matched engine/gearbox combination with the added delight of factory optional power steering gives real world relaxing driving pleasure. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Optional special chromium plated pressed steel wheels cost an extra £31. 6 shillings and 8 pence as per the original sales invoice and present immaculately with a mirror shine and no damage. Matching Avon 185 HR15 tyres are fitted with ample tread. Servo assisted disc brakes all round with independent hydraulic circuits front and rear stop the car adequately. HISTORY FILE Truly remarkable and a collectors dream. The Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate confirms this to be a matching numbers RHD UK example despatched on the 12th August 1970 to Lex Motor Co, Wembley. Purchased by Dr Irene Prosser with assistance from her father, a famous surgeon, on the 1st November 1970. The total price of the vehicle including factory options was £3,056 as clearly documented on the original purchase invoice. Owned and cherished by her for the next 42 years with minimal use due to a demanding successful career. Upon having her daily Jaguar serviced at Main Dealers, Clelands, she entered into conversation with the Dealer Principal and retired British Touring Car Championship, (BTCC), Driver, John Cleland, who made a point of thanking her for her repeat business and loyalty and to remind her he would like to purchase her very low mileage Jaguar E-Type! On this occasion his persistence paid off she agreed to sell the car for a large sum of money. Owned by Mr Cleland and his Jaguar Dealership for two years, but never registered to him, it was used for Jaguar shows and on display in his new car showroom. Sold to the second and only other registered keeper in 2014, Mr Jayesh Patel a serial car collector owning other iconic cars such as a Ferrari 348 GTB and Aston Martin V8, a photograph of him collecting the car from John Cleland himself at the Dealership is included in the history file along with the purchase invoice. Mr Patel has adored the car to the present day. Absolutely all documentation from purchase is included within the Lex Group wallet including the original purchase invoice, price guide with the options ticked and handbooks. Service invoices throughout are present and a letter dated 23rd August 2014 from Dr Prosser to Mr Patel beautifully detailing the cars history is present along with two sets of keys. • Renault GTA V6

    For sale
    £56,595

FOR SALE One of only 67 UK RHD Renault Alpine A610 Turbos with just 2,901 miles. MODEL HISTORY Jean Rédélé was the youngest Renault Dealer in France and launched his first car in 1954, naming it after the classic French road trial. The A106 had early success in the Mille Miglia Road Race and was the beginning of a fruitful mutual partnership between Alpine and Renault. With continual rally success by 1968 Alpine had been allocated the whole Renault competition budget and opened a new assembly plant in Dieppe. Iconic cars including the A108, A110, A310 and GTA/A610 were hand built there but thanks to high assembly costs and low demand, (due to the cost when new), only 818 A610 Turbos were made when production ceased in 1995 of which 67 were RHD. The Alpine factory remained open building cars such as the Clio Williams and RenaultSport Spiders and in 2017 the Alpine marque was relaunched with an all-new A110. EQUIPMENT Impact-resistant reinforced lightweight composite body, integrated side skirts, front and rear spoilers, aerodynamic flat underbody, pop-up halogen headlights, twin exhausts, 6-speaker stereo system, air conditioning, power steering, one-touch electric windows, turbo pressure gauge, multi-function trip computer, dash rheostat, electric heated door mirrors, folding rear 2+2 seats, leather-bound sports steering wheel. EXTERIOR The uncluttered lines and painstakingly designed details of the Alpine A610 combined with carefully-honed aerodynamics result in a stunning supercar appearance. Finished in immaculate Rouge Vernis, (Code 075), the glossy shine is perfectly uniform and all decals and badges are present. Some paint to the integrated side skirts and a wing mirror to uphold the immaculate appearance has been carried out. All glass, rubbers and wheel apertures are as new. Having been owned by Renault Retail Group this car has enjoyed a pampered showroom life and is incredible. INTERIOR The ergonomically-designed ‘Petale’ sports seats finished in optional Grey leather are immaculate and along with the rest of the interior, commensurate with the amazingly low 2,901 miles covered. All dials, gauges and electronic displays function perfectly including the heater fan on all speed settings. The leather-bound sports steering wheel with the Alpine Blue logo in the centre has no wear. A common issue with this model and its predecessor, the GTA, is the headlining. This example has had the headlining replaced to exact manufacturer standards. Under bonnet and engine compartment is as new with all stickers, plates and labels still attached. A very exclusive and rare environment. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION A light alloy 2975cc V6 engine equipped with an electronically controlled Garrett T3 turbocharger produces 250 bhp which is enough to propel this Supercar to a top speed of 165.6 mph and 0-62 in 5.7 secs. Ownership by the Renault Retail Group and a recent service by a Renault Main Dealer in October 2017 will help ensure reliability. The 5-speed aluminium alloy gearbox performs faultlessly. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Fitted with immaculate and optional 16in Spider alloy wheels shod in new Continental Sportcontact2 tyres all-round of 205/45 R16 front and 245/45 R16 rear dimensions. The original Michelin MXX tyres as fitted from new are also supplied. Front and rear ventilated discs with Bosch 5-sensor ABS brakes stop this supercar quickly and safely. HISTORY FILE A fascinating and privileged history. This example is chassis number 85049 and is the earliest Alpine A610 on the Renault Alpine A610 Register. It is reputedly the very first RHD example made and was snapped up when new by a wealthy international collector. Offered back to Renault in 2001 it was purchased by the Renault Retail Group U.K under the supervision of Stuart Walker, a long time Alpine-Renault fan who enjoyed various roles during his 32 year career with Renault including the Managing Director, Renault Retail Group U.K. Club Alpine Renault would often arrange an Alpine-Renault day at the Renault Dealership in Cannock where this car featured centre stage and reputedly could have been sold many times over! The window display notices and POS are included in the history file from when the car was on display at Renault. Since leaving Renault UK in June 2015 the car has been owned by two collectors including Mr Rory Johnstone, owner of Classic Throttle Shop, Australasia’s largest classic car showroom in Sydney’s Lower North Shore. Previous MOT certificates, spare keys and even period accessories such as a rare Alpine Renault mug, Renault Winter Pack and genuine Alpine leather key fobs are included. The car has had a recent service by a Renault Main Dealer in October 2017 and is ready for the next lucky custodian. MOT February 2019, HPI Clear. HISTORY FILE Built in October 1986, this very early Series 2 was registered new on 9th January 1987, the supplying Ford Main Dealer being E Ward of Wellingborough. The first and only keeper, Mr David McGann, registered the car to his business name, David McGann Motor Spares and Accessories Ltd, before transferring ownership to his private name upon retirement. KGF Classic Cars purchased the car direct from Mr McGann, and learnt from him that it was used in the initial years to attend business meetings for the starting up of the association that was later to become A1 Motor Stores. Thereafter, the car was used solely for leisure use whilst always kept in his heated and dehumidified garage alongside his 1969 Cortina 1600E which he has, and still does, own since 1971! His dedication and love for this RS Turbo was simply wonderful and truly infectious, even down to the use of wine bottle corks used to lift the wiper arms off the windscreen so as to preserve the rubber blades! Furthermore, Mr McGann, a qualified Ford Motor Vehicle Engineer, kept a detailed maintenance log since new and throughout, after the first service at E Ward did not meet his expectations, (complaint letter in the history file!), causing him to handle vehicle upkeep himself from then on. FOR SALE An iconic Big Turbo Ford Escort RS Cosworth with only 8,434 miles. MODEL HISTORY The Ford Escort RS Cosworth was a sports derivative and rally homologation special of the fifth generation Ford Escort. It was designed to qualify as a Group A car for the World Rally Championship. It was available as a road car from 1992-96 in limited numbers from Ford’s Specialist Vehicle Engineering, (SVE), Group. It combines the hand-assembled engine expertise of Cosworth and the coach-building crafts of Karmann. In order to accommodate the larger Cosworth engine and transmission Ford developed the car around the chassis and mechanicals of its predecessor, the Sierra Cosworth. A very rare car with only 7,145 examples being produced with the first 2,500 units being Big Turbo Homologation cars. (Source Wikipedia, 1995 Edition One RS Brochure and the RS Owners Club). EQUIPMENT Body colour front bumper with black lower extension, front airdam, louvred bonnet air intakes, wing air extraction grilles, integral driving lights and fog lights, padded armrest with cassette storage, oil pressure gauge, turbo gauge, voltmeter, quartz digital clock with ambient temperature, electro-luminescent dials, Ford 2008 radio/cassette with CD. Lux Model Equipment; Electrically operated and heated door mirrors, ‘Quickclear’ heated windscreen, heated washer jets, three-spoke leather covered steering wheel, rear centre armrest, rear head restraints, manual sunroof, electric windows, carpeted door bins. EXTERIOR With 200 hours detail development in Fords Cologne wind tunnel the rally-bred innovation of this model is instantly recognised. Finished in desirable Radiant Red, (Code U 7), the finish can be described as impeccable. A reflective gloss finish will amaze onlookers and a testament to the cars appearance are various Concours awards at prestigious RS Owners Club shows. The three-position front adjustable splitter is perfect and the underside is an exhibitors dream with every component gleaming and as new. Factory markings, stampings and stickers are all present and correct. The colour-coded fuel filler cap and large door mirrors of early Big Turbo cars along with every inconceivable detail is correct. Undeniably one of the best in existence. INTERIOR The interior of this early Escort RS Cosworth Lux Edition is as new and exactly as Ford intended. The Recaro seats finished in Raven Leather are divine with a fullness only witnessed on incredibly low mileage examples never exposed to ultraviolet light. The desirable early leather covered steering wheel with three horn buttons remains fitted. Being one of the first 2,500 cars the pristine boot area still has the water injection kit never plumbed in and unused to comply with homologation. Most were removed by the Ford dealers to avoid customer confusion. A Ford immobiliser has been fitted from new along with Ford carpet mats. Stunning. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The powerful and well proven Cosworth 2.0 litre 16v turbocharged YBT engine features the larger Garrett T3/T04B turbocharger with a two-stage water/air and air/air intercooler together with an electronically regulated over-boost facility. Being an early car it is also fitted with the desirable Weber-Marelli fuelling and ignition system. The blue painted cam cover denotes a number of significant changes over the older YBG unit of the Sierra RS Cosworth and power is quoted at 225bhp with 0-60 in 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 140mph. A recent full service and cam-belt change has been carried out by renowned Cosworth Specialists, Harvey Gibbs. The permanent Ferguson four wheel drive system with 34/66% front/rear power split mated to a MT 75 5-speed gearbox is light and direct. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Genuine Ford RS 8 X 16” five soft-spoke alloy wheels built by Ronal are pristine and still shod in the correct factory Pirelli P Zero Asimmetrico tyres which were specially developed for the Escort RS Cosworth. Electrically-controlled ABS anti-lock system with two microprocessors and ventilated front and rear discs offer immense stopping power. HISTORY FILE This desirable Big Turbo model was built in August 1992 at the Rheine Assembly Plant in Germany and registered new on the 19th October 1992. Supplied by Hendy Ford in Southampton a further seven entries in the original service book were carried out by them for maintenance. Previous MOT certificates and a Concours logbook are also included. K43MOR was advertised for sale privately in April 2010 for a record price of £35,000 by its devoted owner on Pistonheads and Social Media platforms. Within days of placing the advert a family holiday to the Canaries was embarked on and during which the car was stolen from the family home. Soon discovered by the police just 10 miles from the owners house, hidden and ready for disassembly, but thankfully halted due to the quick find. The vehicle is HPI Clear and was subsequently purchased by Mark Bailey from the world famous Bonkers RS Collection. A display board when housed in his collection and included with the history file reads; ‘7,632 miles from new, has won every trophy known inc RSOC National Day five times, one of the lowest mileage vehicles left worldwide, this one is thought to be the best in existence’. Sold off by Mark with all the other Bonkers Ford RS Collection this example has been owned by respected Ford RS collectors since, appreciative of the amazing low mileage condition and early Big Turbo rarity. All keys and immobilisers along with the original service book and handbooks are supplied. The grey leather handbook is still in the Ford cardboard box! The original Assurance Certificate is also supplied with the car. MOT November 2018, HPI Clear. Registered new on the 1st December 1973, the first owner was a Mr Bryan Jones. Many previous owners have been traced and the huge history file contains records and letters between owners. Paying the sum of £1,499 less £700 part exchange allowance for his 1972 Escort Mexico, Mr Philip Pring purchased the car in September 1976. Dated some twenty years later, a letter from him is in the history file after the owner in 1996 traced him to find out more about the car! The history file is simply colossal and perusal of such would take hours. Regular valuations from the Ford AVO Owners Club date from 2001 to the latest in July 2016 whereby Club Valuer/Model Registrar, Eddie Pepper, valued the car at £50,000. Masses of neatly filed invoices date back to the 1970’s as well as documentation relating to regular successful entry and judging at RS Owners Club Concours events. Owned twice by Charlie Chisholm, Owner of CWC Restorations, he restored the car between 1998 and 2003 and such was his love for the car, he bought it back in 2006! Special Edition Gift Box; Sewing kit, penknife, fragrance canister with syringe, cap, fleece, T-Shirt, satchel, signed authenticity certificate. EXTERIOR This outstanding and highly collectable classic Mini Cooper 500 is verified by the Cooper Sport 500 Register as number 128, making it the 373rd last Mini ever made. Finished in factory original Solar Red with contrasting Platinum silver roof resulting in a combination paint code of WNR, this one of just 110 cars produced in this colour. The factory paintwork is exceptional and entirely commensurate with the incredibly low mileage, and has further benefitted from enthusiast ownership and heated storage from new. The car is preserved in almost new condition in every respect. The pristine factory fitted glass, lights and badges remain manufacturer standard, and features such as the high level third brake light, supplying dealer sticker and tax disc holder remain. The ultimate collectors piece for the Mini connoisseur. INTERIOR These late Mini Coopers were lavishly trimmed, particularly so in the final ‘500’ celebration model. The full leather interior in Black and Nickle Silver, (Code WNP), is in perfect condition with no wear whatsoever. The leather steering wheel still has full colour and defined natural veins, a pleasing feature found only on such low mileage cars. The matching carpets and door cards are perfect, as is the leather padded dashboard and contrasting alloy finish fascia. All cream faced dials and gauges, together with other interior functions are in full working order, including the original Mini branded stereo cassette. Most importantly, the metal plaque fitted to the inner glove box lid states, ‘This Mini is one of the last 500 built to the original Sir Alec Issigonis Design’. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The final production cars utilised the 1275cc unit mated to Multi-Point fuel Injection to lower emissions and noise and increase performance, a revision that is truly evident in this example. Factory standard both mechanically and aesthetically, even down to the original exhaust, the engine bay displays factory plates, stickers, MG Rover service parts and even the usually discarded yellow coolant advice disc! The standard four speed gearbox is smooth, precise and a pleasure to use. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The original 13in sports style alloy wheels which were standard on the Cooper Sport 500 are unrestored and essentially as new. The factory fitted Dunlop SP Sport 3000 175/50/R13 tyres are free from cracking and retain excellent tread. The unused spare wheel and Pirelli Cinturato CN54 tyre with factory chalk marks rest alongside the original jack and Mini pouch in the immaculate boot area which still displays factory date stickers! The servo assisted brakes incorporating front discs and rear drums bring this lively little car to an assured halt. HISTORY FILE The build date of this example is recorded on the Cooper Sport 500 Register as the 18th September 2000 with first registration on 24th January 2001. The supplying Rover Main Dealer was Epsom Motor Group Limited with the first lucky owner being a Mr Peter Lloyd. The emphasis is placed on ‘lucky’ as such was the hype and fanfare around the final 500 cars, demand far outstripped supply! The original order form and subsequent sales invoice made out to Mr Lloyd confirms the price paid of £10,500, with an interesting discrepancy between him originally ordering a British Racing Green car but changing his mind to Solar Red. Collectors and enthusiasts alike will be pleased to see documentation such as the Mini Assembly Classic Final Audit Sheet, welcome letters to Mr Lloyd from Rover and even a memo sent out to all dealers advising that allocation of cars will not be automatic but instead based on secured customer orders, due to demand. The history box file contains previous MOT’s certificates and invoices as well as the full book pack including service book. Importantly, a valuation certificate from David Hollis at the British Mini Club dated September 2017 verifies the cars authenticity and places an insurance value of £25,000. The previous owner, Mr Roger Coe, who has several low mileage Minis including vans and pick-ups is a serious Mini collector. Further enhancing the huge appeal of this example is the entirely complete gift box which even still has the individual corrugated card Mini gift boxes and wrapping tissue all contained within the cardboard box sent to the Dealer. A very rare find as most have been discarded or were reputedly held back by some Rover Dealers! Finally, the ‘Certifiable Fun’ certificate signed by John Cooper and Kevin Howe and presented with each car remains in the file. Look no further for the ultimate tribute to Sir Alec Issigonis’ ingenious and hugely influential design. MOT July 2018, HPI Clear. FOR SALE Truly one of the best, a Mercedes Benz 280SL R107 with just 11,433 miles. EQUIPMENT Light-alloy bonnet, easy-closing doors, detachable colour coded hard top, retractable soft top, impact zones, anti-burst locks, strengthened windscreen pillars, parking lamps, three speed wipers, individually adjusted temperature zones, headlamp adjustment, oil pressure gauge, fuel reserve light, non-slip steering wheel, lockable glove compartment, fire extinguisher, power assisted steering. Factory fitted options include; 4-speed automatic transmission with tempomat, Becker Mexico Cassette radio, central locking, air conditioner, Australia version. EXTERIOR This classic Mercedes-Benz Sport Leicht (SL) is finished in factory original Silver Green Metallic, (Code 861H – Silbergrun). The paintwork boasts a magnificent finish and show winning shine, commensurate with the incredible low mileage and cosseted existence this superb car has enjoyed. The instantly recognisable lines of the R107 series, the R prefix to denote a Roadster as opposed to W for Wagon, are elegant yet subtle and this example is surely one of the best there is. The Black hood, (Code 740), is as new, as are the side and rear hood windows. The original colour coded hard top remains with the car and is in remarkable condition. All the chrome has a mirror finish and trim sections and rubbers are virtually as new. Features of a 1970’s pre-facelift example include the single, smaller and more ornate door mirror. An exceptional vehicle from an era when the name Mercedes-Benz stood for exemplary build quality and engineering excellence. INTERIOR The pristine factory trimmed interior is upholstered in delightful 1970’s Bamboo colour with matching colour scheme carpets. The seats are beautifully preserved with no discolouration or cracking and only slight stretching and the deep pile carpeting throughout looks almost new. The fascia is perfect and all the gauges, controls and electrics operate exactly as they should, including the factory optional Becker Mexico Cassette radio, the most expensive unit available when new! Found inside the glovebox is even the two hard top levers kept in the original black pouch, and other features of an early R107 SL are manual window winders and the seat belt holding clips, still intact. Service stickers are still visible in the door shuts. The boot area has the factory supplied toolkit as well as the original rubber matting and bare metal rear bulkhead as fitted to earlier example’s. The inner rear light clusters have retained the manufacture stamps. Hugely advanced ergonomically, the benchmark for all makers of the era. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION This 1976 example, one of only 1,099 280SL’s built that year, produces 185bhp at 6000rpm and 175lb/ft of torque to achieve a top speed of 124mph and 0-60mph in 10.01 seconds. The engine bay is spotless and retains all manufacturer stickers, plates, panel stampings, and even the original battery warning tag! The factory wax can be seen on components revealing the originality of this car impossible to replicate. The four-speed automatic transmission is flawless in operation with positive kickdown. Supremely reliable and perfect in operation. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The original wheels remain fitted with the colour coded and chromium plated 12 hole trims which are in excellent order, with two pieces showing only very light scratches. Period matching Michelin MXV 185 HR14 tyres are fitted and remain virtually unused with nobbles fully intact. The unused spare wheel is shod in the factory Pirelli tyre. Dual-circuit servo assisted brakes with 278mm front discs and 279mm rear drums offer steady stopping capabilities. HISTORY FILE A car with an interesting life! This example was ordered in late 1975 for an Australian resident through the company name, Zawawi Trading. Registered in 1976, the first owner opted for factory collection in Stuttgart, Germany, and the car remained in Switzerland/England for the first 12 months in order to avoid import duty in Australia. Shortly after the cars arrival in Australia, the owner sadly passed away and unable to part with the car for sentimental reasons, the owners widow kept the car in a dry garage for many years. Resisting several offers to buy the car over the years, wanting to preserve the memory of her late husband, the car was used only very sparingly explaining the very low 11,433 miles covered. Eventually, the original owner’s Step Son brought the car into the UK in July 2016 whereby a well-known Aston Martin Dealer purchased the car. A signed letter from the family of the original owner is kept in the history file where all this information is thankfully recorded for the next owner to enjoy. Now fully UK registered with all import duty paid, the car was sent for MOT in November 2017 as well as a full inspection, recommission and main service. An invoice in the history dated November 2017 for £1,793.16 documents the work carried out. Appealing to any serious collector wanting one of the very best preserved examples in existence, this 280SL will delight on every conceivable level. MOT November 2018, HPI clear. Dealer options; GT Ford 30 alarm system, Ford tailored carpet mats, Ford mud flaps. EXTERIOR Finished in original Ford Crystal Blue, (Code U7), this colour being one of the rarest having been in production only from initial launch to August 1988, (Eight months). The paintwork boasts a deep shine and polished uniform finish with a few careful owner touch-ups. All factory panels are pin straight with linear gaps and manufacturer stamps can be seen. The exterior trim is excellent and features such as Anthracite fog lamp surrounds denote an early 2WD example. One corner of the front splitter is slightly misshapen, a common occurrence. The glass displays the number and dots dated Securit etchings, and factory Carello headlamps remain fitted with other lenses showing Ford logo and ‘England’ lettering. A highly collectable early example rarely seen in Ford Crystal Blue. INTERIOR The factory standard interior of this truly special example is trimmed in the original Halley and Angora grey velour, (Code L). This trim arrangement being another denotation of the early 2WD production Sapphire Cosworths. Protected by fitted seat covers, the supportive Recaro front seats are superb with firm bolsters and tight coverings. A tiny repair mark to the passenger seat base is just visible. The instantly familiar driver inclined dashboard is perfect and completely free from any cracks, and the three spoke leather trimmed sports steering wheel and leather gear knob show little wear. All functions and controls operate including the standard Sound ECU2 stereo system with power amplifier. A fantastic RS interior. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION Fitted with the standard 1993cc Dual Over Head Cam (DOHC) engine with the Garrett AiResearch T.03B turbocharger and intercooler, the racing pedigree of this car is truly evident with performance figures quoted of 204bhp, 150mph top speed and 0-60 in just 6.1 seconds. The engine bay will fascinate originality seekers with factory panel stampings on the inner wings, front slam panel and bonnet underside. All stickers and plates remain intact including the service stickers on the intercooler and PDI dots, long since lost on most examples. The tough T5 manual transmission with 7.5 limited slip differential is direct and precise. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The factory fitted 15 X 7 RS Sierra Cosworth ‘Lattice Style’ alloy wheels are remarkable with only minimal markings and no rim damage. Quality Goodyear Eagle 205/50 R15 tyres with excellent tread are fitted all round, and the spare wheel is shod in the original unused Dunlop SP Sport D40 fitment. Diagonally split hydraulic brakes featuring anti-lock assistance and Teves four piston front callipers offer excellent stopping power to match the performance. HISTORY FILE Built at Ford’s Genk assembly plant in March 1988, the third month of Sapphire Cosworth production, this example was registered new on the 6th May 1988 by Ford Main Dealer and RS official agent, New English Ltd of Poole. The history file is simply colossal and makes fascinating reading, with documentation and records dating back to the late 1980’s. Incredibly, there is even a detailed maintenance and service log that began in 1992 and has been fastidiously upheld since. Every MOT has been kept since the first in 1991 to present, along with a huge file of invoices throughout the cars lifetime. In November 2017 the car was taken to renowned Cosworth Specialists, Harvey Gibbs of Supreme Car Services for a full inspection and engine rebuild at a cost of £3,960.02 to reassure the next fortunate custodian. Completing the history file is the original book packs including the stamped service book, handbooks, audio guides and dealership sales material. Unmissable. MOT December 2018, HPI Clear. FOR SALE An original and iconic Lotus Omega / Carlton with 39,558 miles. MODEL HISTORY Produced at the Lotus factory at Hethel, only a few people will be fortunate enough to drive a Lotus Type 104, also known as the Lotus Omega / Carlton. The team at Lotus Engineering took a production car, built a new engine, added suspension modifications, fitted more powerful brakes and modified the bodyshell to accommodate the repositioned engine, gearbox and wider, larger wheels and tyres. General Motors hoped to build 1,100 cars in total, but due to the recession of the early 1990s, the £48,000 price tag and adverse publicity surrounding the cars 176mph top speed for a family car, just 950 were completed. Of the 950, 666 are LHD Omegas and 284 are RHD Carltons. Once the fastest production saloon car in the world, number 593 is a very rare original survivor. EQUIPMENT Long-range halogen driving lights, green tinted glass, central locking, automatic suspension levelling, speed-sensitive power steering, heated seats, height and lumber adjustable seats, split folding rear seats, air conditioning, tilt steering wheel, electric sunroof, front and rear electric windows, multi-function check control warning panel, cassette holder, Phillips SC804 stereo. EXTERIOR The integrated aero package serves a vital purpose in the handling of this awesome machine and helps to distinguish it as an all-time classic hero. Finished in striking Imperial Green 2-coat pearlescent paint, (Code E355), it looks tremendous. The colour, which is unique to the Lotus, comes alive in bright light and minor stone chips to the bonnet and wheel arch extensions do not detract from the overall stunning deep gloss shine. The correct tinted glass and Cibie headlights remain fitted and a small ding to the bonnet and front tow cover are barely visible. The slots in the bonnet to feed the turbocharged engine remind admirers how special this car is. INTERIOR Absolutely preserved, the Anthracite Connally leather looks incredible combined with the fluted grey alcantara door cards and polished wood. Correct features such as the Lotus badged rev counter, Lotus padded leather rimmed steering wheel and unique glove box Limited Edition plaque 0593 are present. Perfectionists will note the factory set of driving mats made from the same material as the carpet with dark grey piping are in situ and a discreet racimex boost indictor has been neatly installed. Four Lotus Omega door sill covers remain correctly fitted and the headlining is perfectly clean and tight. Very special. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The 3.6 litre 24v inline DOHC engine with a brace of Garratt T25 turbochargers and twin watercooled inlet charge coolers unleashes 377bhp at 5,500rpm and 568Nm torque at 4,200rpm. The power delivery is phenomenal with an unlimited top speed of 176mph and 0-60mph in 5.2 seconds. A recent full service has just been carried out by Specialists Harvey Gibbs. The six-speed manual ZF transmission has a long-throw and offers reassuring solidity. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Unique to the Lotus Omega and Carlton are the stunning Ronal one piece 8.5Jx17 front and 9.5Jx17 rear alloy wheels. Minor marks are barely visible and are shod in Yokohama 235/45 ZR17 front and 265/40 ZR rear tyres with ample tread. The correct metal tyre valves are fitted along with the factory spare. 330mm diameter ventilated front discs with AP Racing 4 pot calipers and 300mm diameter ventilated rear discs with AP Racing 2 pot calipers perform impeccably and are standard fitment. HISTORY FILE One of just 415 Lotus Omegas supplied to the German market when new, this example was manufactured on the 19th December 1991 as confirmed by the Lotus Certificate of Vehicle Provenance. Supplied by Adam Opel A.G. in Rüsselsheim to Mr Joerg Tuerkismue and according to the Fahrzeugbrief, (German Registration Document), this example has had just three keepers. The Lotus Omega Inspection Booklet records the servicing over the years helping to confirm the 63,663kms, (39,558 miles). An amazing collection of literature makes fascinating reading from the market launch material to the GM Continental Public Affairs negative photo slides! Offered for sale by Classic Park in Boxtel (NL) who house a fabulous museum, our current UK owner was thrilled to acquire this original unmolested example after viewing many substandard cars and is now only available due to a new business venture. All handbooks are contained within the unique Lotus Omega green leather folder. An amazing opportunity to own a piece of motoring history. MOT November 2018, HPI Clear. EXTERIOR This wonderfully preserved and rare surviving Nissan Bluebird is the limited edition premium model, finished in original Diamond White, (Code 326). The paintwork is fantastic with a bright pure shine and uniform finish, and hallmarks of a vehicle having covered just 24,253 miles with one owner from new are clear to see. Close inspection will reveal some scratches to the front nearside lower wheel arch and very light undulations to the nearside lower rear door. Preserved trim sections, decals and items such as the original supplying dealer rear number plate and mud flaps remain fitted. Hugely nostalgic and virtually impossible to find in this unspoiled state, this is one for the Datsun/Nissan fanatic! INTERIOR The interior of this wonderfully kept example can be likened to visiting a Nissan showroom in 1990! The very low mileage is clearly evident and the interior condition is fantastic with the Grey Tricot cloth upholstery, (Code K), being spotlessly clean. The thin material to the driver’s seat is fully intact but slightly stretched. Matching grey carpets have been protected from new with supplying dealer branded tailored floor mats. This Premium model features fully operational controls and functions, including the digital Blaupunkt stereo cassette. Natural veins to the steering wheel and gear knob reflect the low mileage and even the new car smell has not escaped! ENGINE & TRANSMISSION Fitted with the four-cylinder OHC engine developing 83bhp, the engine starts with a flick of the key and is wonderfully quiet with the instantly recognisable Nissan hum. The spotlessly clean engine bay is unspoilt and displays factory plates, stickers and panel stampings. The five-speed gearbox is light and has the tight precise feel only found on such low mileage examples. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The standard alloy wheels are in perfect condition and shod in matching heavy duty tyres with masses of tread remaining. The spare wheel is housed in the spotlessly clean boot area which appears hardly used. The braking system incorporates discs to the front and offers reliable straight line stopping power. HISTORY FILE Registered new on 16th May 1990 and supplied by AFG Nissan of Finchley, this amazing Bluebird has covered just 24,253 miles from new with only one owner. There is even an invoice for £400 from AFG Nissan for an alarm system fitted when the car was new. The original AFG Nissan plastic wallet houses all handbooks and guides as well as the stamped service book, and there are three sets of keys including the red master key, code tags and two AFG Nissan fobs! Completing the history file are invoices including a documented cambelt change, as well as a workshop manual and every MOT certificate completed from the fist in 1993 to present! The glass displays the original number and dots dated Securit etchings, and the original Carello headlamps remain fitted with other lenses showing Ford logo and ‘England’ lettering. Supplying dealer number plates, rear screen sticker and tax disc holder have been retained. Without question one of the best unrestored examples in existence. INTERIOR The factory standard interior of this truly special example is trimmed in the original Halley and Angora grey velour, (Code L). This trim arrangement being another denotation of the early 2WD production Sapphire Cosworths prior to the introduction of Shadow Halley/Raven velour and optional Raven Leather in February 1989. The supportive Recaro front seats are flawless with firm bolsters and tight coverings, commensurate with the very low mileage. A tiny amount of shrinkage to the driver’s door card can only just be seen. The instantly familiar driver inclined dashboard is perfect and completely free from any cracks, and the three spoke leather trimmed sports steering wheel and leather gear knob show natural veins. All functions and controls operate including the standard Sound ECU2 stereo system with power amplifier. A fantastic RS interior, the ultimate combination of sporting prowess and spacious executive luxury. All stickers and plates remain intact including the service stickers on the intercooler, long since lost on most examples. The tough T5 manual transmission with 7.5 limited slip differential is direct and precise, just as you would expect from the low mileage covered. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The factory fitted and unrestored 15 X 7 RS Sierra Cosworth ‘Lattice Style’ alloy wheels are remarkable with only minimal markings and one scratch to the offside front rim edge. The part numbers and raised stampings are prominent and show clear definition, a feature lost upon the usual refurbished items. Quality Dunlop SP Sport 205/50 R15 tyres with excellent tread are fitted all round, and the spare wheel is shod in the original unused Dunlop SP Sport D40 fitment. Diagonally split hydraulic brakes featuring anti-lock assistance and Teves four piston front callipers offer excellent stopping power to match the performance. HISTORY FILE Built at Ford’s Genk assembly plant in January 1988, the first month of Sapphire Cosworth production, this example was registered new on the 12th February 1988 by Ford Main Dealer and RS official agent, Charles King of Bedford. The first owner was a Mr Ronald Shepherd, proprietor of specialist’s RS Engineering in Buckinghamshire. An avid Ford RS enthusiast and expert, Mr Shepherd was determined to acquire a brand new Sapphire Cosworth and attended the launch party at Charles Wells Ford on the 11th February 1988 to secure his order. He even kept in the history file newspaper cuttings advertising the launch party and other articles covering the event afterwards! The new vehicle sales invoice made out to Mr Shepherd confirms the price paid of £19,300. The history file is fantastic and includes the original Charles King Ford A5 wallet with original service book, handbooks, guides and POS literature, and despite the incredibly low mileage, the service book contains nine stamped entries. The most recent entry in November 2017 with supporting invoice is from renowned Cosworth specialist Harvey Gibbs of Supreme Car Services whereby a service and brake overhaul was carried out. There is a documented timing belt change in 2015 at 23,844 miles. Completing the comprehensive history file is every MOT certificate completed from the first in 1991 to the current in November 2017 along with service invoices and receipts. Articles of this car covered in classic car publications, original sales brochure and two Ford keys with Charles Wells fob complete the history file. Representing an incredibly well-preserved example of what is now firmly established as collectable Ford RS product, KGF Classic Cars are privileged to offer this genuine 24,608 mile example ready for the next custodian. HISTORY FILE In 1979 the current owner of this spectacular car, Mr Alan Bradshaw, bought his first Mk2 Escort, a year-old 1978 1600 Sport in Signal Green with a Black vinyl roof from Billinhams Ford in Wolverhampton. It was his first proper car and although always envious of his friends better spec Mexico, in 1981 the trusty Sport was traded-in for a brand new XR3. It was more than 30 years before a Mk2 was thought of again and after three decades of business success he allowed himself to relieve his youth and buy the Mexico he had always dreamt of. This example was registered on the 27th April 1978 and has had just five former keepers. With only around 2,500 Mk2 Ford Mexico’s made, (source Ford RS Owners Club), this car represents a rare breed! Positioned awkwardly in price and specification between a 1600 Sport and an RS2000 when new, the Mexico had a very short production run and therefore is now a highly sought after model amongst collectors. Mr Bradshaw outsourced the restoration of this example and the accompanying invoices for works carried out are eye wateringly expensive with a photographic album as evidence. Some of the photos also include his original 1600 Sport! The vehicle is registered with the RS Owners Club and a comprehensive history file of all works will reassure the next owner.
