1966-1976 JENSEN Interceptor Convertible specifications

Cutting the roof off the Interceptor resulted in a surprisingly stylish machine, despite the loss of the car’s trademark curved glass hatchback. Conceived as a flagship to boost Jensen sales in the USA the mechanical side of the convertible was the same as the tin-top cars – thus the 7212cc Chrysler V8 with TorqueFlite automatic transmission – but changes to the body (aside from the obvious missing roof) included strengthening around the sills and the windscreen pillars, plus a spacious boot. Production ended in mid-1976 after 508 cars.
