1972-1976 JENSEN-HEALEY Sports specifications

1972-1976 JENSEN-HEALEY Sports specifications Classic and Performance Car

After British Leyland dropped its range of Austin-Healey sports cars, Donald and Geoffrey Healey joined Jensen to develop a successor. They came up with the body design for the 1972 convertible sportscar simply known as the Jensen-Healey, using a mix of different parts from other manufacturers. The 1973cc twin-cam 16-valve engine was from Lotus, the suspension and steering from Vauxhall’s Viva and the gearbox was a Sunbeam item. Unfortunately, nothing gelled together that well.
