This magnificent numbers matching 1967 Series 1 4.2 E-Type roadster was the subject of a recent Show/Driver level restoration by Jaguar professionals at Classic Showcase in Oceanside, CA. This XKE was one of the last Series I’s produced before leaving the Browns Lane factory on March 31, 1967. The Series I’s are the most desirable of the XKE’s. Robert and Patricia Polker purchased this XKE new on April 12, 1967 from Jaguar Cars in New York. It presents in a truly stunning color combination of an opalescent silver blue exterior that is fitted with a dark blue leather interior, and is complimented with an excellent dark blue soft top and boot. The body was completely restored with even the bottom of the E-type painted body color for the correctness of the restoration. Once the paint was completed, the car was color sanded and buffed to the deep gleaming shine you see today. The engine, transmission, rear end, and steering rack were restored with the hydraulic, cooling, fuel and electrical systems also being gone through and restored.
