Jaguar XK120 SE Roadster from 1954 in fact one of the last 50-60 XK120's made. Originally delivered new to LA California ending up in Texas from where it was shipped to Australia in 1988/89.
Although still in very sound condition it underwent a full body off chassis restoration by marque specialists in Melbourne. Every facet of the car was completely rebuilt but restored to original specification, the only deviation being that the interior colour was changed from its original red to Jaguar suede green in order to emulate the 'works' Alpine rally XK120 - NUB120. It was converted to RHD and a smaller diameter 'moto-lita' wood rimmed steering wheel was fitted - this is really the only deviation from completely original specification.
This restoration which was commenced in the late eighties was completed in the mid nineties, however it has had limited use since (possibly less than a 1000 miles) it has always been carefully maintained in long term storage. It is a testament to both the quality of the restoration work and the condition of the original car that it still presents exceptionally well with little to no wear evident in any area of the car - as can been seen in the photographs.
Being an SE model it has wire wheels and the higher compression head etc...etc... It did not arrive in Australia with its hood or side screens and these were not reinstated during restoration as the car was living in warm dry Australia - these items are rarely if ever needed as such this car has literally never been driven in the rain post restoration! The underside is clean and blemish free, totally rust free and all undercarriage components look as fresh as when it was completed.
This is a unique opportunity to acquire an outstanding XK120 SE Roadster which has been properly restored keeping it true to 1954 specifications, it is a pleasure to drive.
