Manufactured August 19, 1952 and distributed to Charles Hornburg, Los Angeles, CA August 25.
Rust free, frame off, conversion to a race spec car for David Fromer of Peabody Mass. by British Auto of Manchester, New Hampshire. Finished mid 1994.
Raced by David Fromer from 1994 to 1999 at Lime Rock, Pittsburgh. Mont Tremblant and Pocono as well as various Jaguar Club events. Maintained and further modified by Tivvy’s Autocraft of Richmond, Vermont during that period.
Sold to Robert Mooney of Hartford, Connecticut in March, 2000. Raced by Mooney from 2000 to 2005 at LRP and NHIS Vintage events with maintenance and further modifications done by Tivvy’s Autocraft.
Purchased December, 2006 by Ted Gildred of Encinitas, CA and Cameron, Montana. Converted to touring spec with transmission and braking upgrades by C. W. Richert of Glendale, Arizona.
Current recorded engine specs: bore – 83 mm, stroke – 101 mm, displacement 3.4 L. Transmission ZF 5-speed w/full synchro.
Participated: 2007 Colorado Grand, 2008 California Mille and 2009 Going To The Sun Rally.
