Jaguar XJS 4.0 (1991-1996) specifications

A facelift brings many added benefits to the 1990s XJS

1991’s restyle of the XJS (note the lack of hyphen now) brought longer rear side windows and a much smoother tail, along with a redesigned interior that features even more wood trim. There are many changes under the skin too, including the increase in engine capacity for the six-cylinder to create this 4.0 version. Further changes were made in 1993, the most obvious being the body-coloured bumpers. There’s also a Convertible model now, with extra bracing to improve the body’s rigidity.
