Jaguar E-Types 1974 S3 V12

car description

To mark the end of E-Type production in June 1974 Jaguar reserved the final 50 chassis numbers for a limited edition model known as the Commemorative. Save for the choice of gearbox - 19 of which were automatics and 31 manuals - and one car being painted green, all 50 left the factory identically; finished with right-hand drive in the now distinctive black paint and cinnamon leather colour combination. Many dealers retained their allocation of Commemoratives for nostalgia and this Commemorative was finally registered to its first owner in the September of that final production year. We first became acquainted with this particular E-Type in the early 2000s, after a sympathetic restoration by renowned Jaguar specialists XK Engineering; a process which has preserved this Commemorative in extraordinary original condition. Significant interest saw the car sell quickly to the owners from whom we are now offering it for sale. After a handful of years the car returned to us for a sensible upgrade to our highly recommended and visually discrete Classic specification. The list of upgrades includes Koni Classic shock absorbers, a stainless steel exhaust and an improved cooling fan switch. All
