Jaguar E-Types 1962 S1 3.8

car description

With the original factory competition cars rare, tremendously difficult to source and just as challenging to finance, this is one of a handful of E-Types accepted by the discerning racing community as the next best thing. As such this car is accompanied by an MSA Historical Technical Passport – both certification of the car’s faithful specification and indeed a permit to compete in the greatest historic race meetings around the globe. Pole position (as No.38) at Brands Hatch - against the fastest E-Types in the world! Based on an original 1962 Series 1 3.8 Coupe, this competition E-Type was completed at great expense to a thoroughly competitive and yet faithful Competition Low Drag specification. RS Panels – the Competition E-Type authority – completed the all-aluminium Low Drag body to the original Malcolm Sayer design in 2010, with the no expense spared race preparation by MRM Engineering Services Ltd. As you’d expect the comprehensive specification includes a fully race prepared 3.8-litre engine, E-Type close-ratio gearbox with straight cut gears, limited-slip differential with cooler, full roll cage and long range fuel tank. A win at Brands Hatch and podiums at Silverstone, Oul
