1968-1970 JAGUAR E-type S1.5/2 2+2 specifications

1968-1970 JAGUAR E-type S1.5/2 2+2 specifications Classic and Performance Car

-

With their uncovered headlamps and less desirable body shape, these 2+2s are now the entry level E-type – one you can buy for MGA money. And it has been pointed out that while it doesn’t match up to Jaguar’s coupé or roadster, it may still be the third best looking car in the world. One significant change over the previous 2+2 model was a new windscreen. The base of this was moved as far as the bulkhead and would allow more rake to the screen, improving aerodynamics. Because of the greater weight 2+2s were fitted with stiffer front torsion bars.
