Visitors to the Octane and evo stand, number 6721, can win a fantastic Shelby Daytona Cobra experience by signing up to a 12 month subscription for either Octane or evo magazine.

The winner and five runners up will be drawn at random from all those who enter the competition, after subscribing to either publication on the stand across the four days of the Autosport International Show, which runs from January 14-17, 2010.

The winner will receive the following:
•    A passenger ride in the new Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupe Mk.II at an Octane or evo Track Day in 2010, with onboard footage filmed by ChaseCam.co.uk*
•    A pair of Carroll Shelby driving shoes (choice of colour)
•    Trackday tuition from Mark Hales in your own car including your onboard footage filmed by ChaseCam.co.uk*

The five runners up:
•    A Carroll Shelby t-shirt and BB-Cap
The new 200mph CSX9000 series Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe Mk.II, from UK importers Le Mans Coupes Ltd, featured in the competition, will have its UK unveiling on the Octane stand at the Autosport International show on Thursday January 14. This new addition to Carroll Shelby’s stable of sports cars is a collector’s dream, starting at £87,000 + VAT.

By comparison, one of the original six CSX2000 series cars made, sold for USD7.25million in August 2009, making the new Mk.II a relative super car bargin!

The prize package also features pieces from the new Carroll Shelby clothing and racing shoe range by a2zracergear.com which will also be displayed on the Octane stand alongside the Shelby Daytona Cobra.

To be in with a chance of winning the Shelby Daytona Experience entrants must enter into a 12 month subscription for Octane or evo magazine. The competition is only available to enter via the Octane and evo stand for the duration of the Show which runs for four days from the January 14-17. Daily entry times can be obtained from the show organiser, the Promoter can not be held responsible for any changes or amendments in the show opening times or access given to the public or exhibitors.

The competition closes once the Show closes to the public on the January 17, 2010. The prize draw will take place on or before the January 31. The winner and five runners up will be notified via the contact information given when the completed subscription agreement was signed. The runners up prizes will be sent by Royal Mail post or similar  to the addresses provided by the winning entrants.

Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply to the win a Shelby Daytona Experience competition only, available to enter on the Octane and evo stand at the Autosport International Show from 14th – 17th January 2010.
You accept these terms and conditions when you enter a competition, together with any specific terms for such competition which may be mentioned on the Octane website or magazine or any form of media owned by Denis Publishing Ltd (“competition information”).
If you do not agree with any of these terms and conditions then you should not enter the competition. If there is any inconsistency between these competition terms and conditions and any other such Octane or Denis Publishing competition information, the competition information shall prevail.
These terms and conditions may be amended or varied at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on the Octane website. It is your responsibility to ensure you review these terms and conditions regularly to familiarise yourself with any changes. We recommend that you print and store or save a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference.
1. Entry
1.1 The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years (WHAT IS THE MINIMUM TRACK DAY AGE FOR OCTANE TD’S) or over, unless specified otherwise. Employees and members of their immediate families (including any live-in partner) of the Promoter (see the end of these terms and conditions below for details), companies within Denis Publishing Ltd and any of its subsidiaries and/or agencies associated with this competition, including the provider of the prize are ineligible to enter. Any such entries will be invalid.
1.2 The Promoter reserves the right to ask for proof of age and evidence to verify the identity of an entrant at any time, and may use any channels and methods available to carry out checks of any details provided.
1.3 The opening and closing date and time for entries is as indicated in the competition information. Any entries received before or after these times will be discounted.
1.4 In order to enter, eligible entrants must answer the question or complete the task as indicated in the competition information.
1.5 Entry to the competition must be by the applicable method(s) as indicated in the competition information:
Stand entry: 
Entrants must sign-up to a 12 month subscription for either Octane or evo magazine on the Octane and evo stand at the Autosport International Show “Show”, which runs from the 14th – 17th January 2010. Entry to the show is by ticket only and must be purchased from the Show organiser in advance or on the day. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for providing entry into the Show. Entry for the competition will be via the Octane and evo stand only once entry criteria have been meet.  Entrants may be able to enter the competition from outside the United Kingdom (although entry is restricted to UK residents), however no financial provision will be made to bring an overseas winner across to the UK in person or with their vehicle to claim the main prize.

1.6 Entries must not be sent in through agents or third parties. Bulk entries cannot be accepted. Only one prize per person is permissible.
1.7 Any entries which are incomplete, incorrect, inaudible, incomprehensible, or not received by the Promoter will be void.
1.8 In the event of any fault, mistake, misunderstanding or dispute concerning the correctness or acceptability of any information or the answers given by entrants, or the operation of any part of the competition, the decision of the Promoter shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

1.9 The Promoter will not be liable to reimburse expenses incurred in making an entry where applicable. No refund will be made for the cost of any entry where applicable.
2. The Prize
2.1 The prize is as specified in the competition information. Where the prize involves the winner travelling, the winner (and their companion(s) if applicable) may be required to hold a valid passport and/or other necessary travel documentation and visas. Where the prize necessitates travel on a specific date, the winner (and their companion(s) if applicable) must be able to travel on the date specified by the Promoter and no alternative dates will be available. Where the prize involves travel on a date and/or destination to be chosen by the winner, the date and/or destination chosen is subject to availability and the Promoter reserves the right to include a final date by which the prize must be taken. The winner is solely responsible for all insurance, including vehicle and personal insurance, applicable taxes and for any costs, expenses and charges not specified in the prize description in the competition information. Where the winners vehicle is used for a trackday experience, it must comply with the trackday organisers policy for taking the vehicle on track. Octane magazine, Denis Publishing Ltd, the Promotor and prize provider cannot be held responsible for usage of the winners vehicle during the track day. The winner takes part in the track day both as a passenger and in their own vehicle solekly at their own risk. The prize is subject to the terms and conditions of the manufacturer or suppliers.
2.2 The process for determining the winner of the prize is as indicated in the competition information. Where the winner is randomly selected from all the correct and valid entries, the prize draw for the winner will take place on the date indicated in the competition information.
2.3 The winner will be notified after the closing date and time for entries to the competition on the date the winning entry is selected or as soon as practical thereafter, or as otherwise indicated in the competition information. He/she will be contacted on the phone number or email address provided when entering the competition. The winner will have a specified fixed time period in which to claim his or her prize. Failure to respond within the fixed time period as specified and/or provide an address for delivery of the prize may result in forfeiture of the prize. If the winner fails to answer the call promptly or if the line is engaged or if for any other reason successful contact is not made, or they do not respond within the time specified, or if for any reason the call is interrupted in any way which is beyond the control of the Promoter then the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant and thereafter until a winner is found.
2.4 The Promoter may refuse to provide a prize, or seek its recovery, in the event of non-entitlement under these terms or an entrant's breach of these terms, fraud or dishonesty, including but not limited to the use of technology which enables an entrant to evade charges when entering the competition.
2.5 The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to withhold delivery of the prize until such proof of eligibility and identity has been confirmed or to disqualify the entrant from the competition.
2.6 The Promoter endeavours to deliver the prize to the winner within twenty eight (28) days from the date of the draw, unless otherwise specified. Delivery restrictions may apply.
2.7 No cash equivalent (where applicable) or alternative prize will be given and the prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable. However, the Promoter reserves the right to change the prize due to circumstances beyond its control or to offer an alternative of similar value.
2.8 Where the prize includes a cheque, such cheque will be made payable to the name of the winning entry in pounds sterling. A cheque prize cannot be made payable to any third party. No other form of payment will be made.
3. Data Protection
3.1 The Promoter (or any third party nominated by the Promoter) may exercise its sole discretion to use the winner's (and (if applicable) their companion's) name and image and their comments relating to the prize and competition experience for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice or without any fee being paid.
3.2 Information and data ("personal data") which is provided by entrants when they enter will be held and used by the Promoter, the Dennis Publishing Ltd and their suppliers and contractors in order to administer the competition. Entrants' personal data may also be passed to relevant regulatory bodies, the police or other authorities in the course of the investigation of any complaints or suspected unlawful activity. Aggregate, non personal data may also be used for the purpose of undertaking market research or in facilitating reviews, developments and improvements to relevant services.
3.3 Any personal data will only otherwise be used in accordance with Dennis Publishing Ltd privacy policy and the Promoter's (where different). Dennis Publishing Ltd privacy policy can be viewed at ????. Dennis Publishing Ltd will only use an entrant's data to send information of offers or services that may be of interest to that entrant from time to time or to pass that entrant's data to carefully selected third parties if that entrant has selected by opting-in to receive such information. At any time, entrants can amend their marketing preferences and opt-out of receiving any marketing communications from Dennis Publishing Ltd by sending an email to ???? and giving their name and email address.
4. Liability
4.1 Nothing in these terms and conditions restrict your statutory rights as a consumer. For more details on your statutory rights you should contact your local Trading Standards Office or Citizen's Advice Bureau.
4.2 Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit the Promoter's or Dennis Publishing Ltd’s liability for death or personal injury caused by their staff or supplier's negligence or for fraud.
4.3 Subject to clause 4.2, the Promoter does not accept responsibility for any fault, malfunction, damage, loss or disappointment suffered by any entrant howsoever arising from participating in the competition or of accepting any prize whether due to any error, omission or other cause by the Promoter, its employees, agents or others to the fullest extent permitted by law.
4.4 The Promoter is not responsible for any damage or loss caused to an entrant where such damage or loss is not reasonably foreseeable to the entrant and to the Promoter when the entrant agrees to these terms and conditions (which occurs automatically when you enter the competition), including where the damage or loss results from the Promoter's breach of these terms and conditions.
4.5 The Promoter does not accept liability for any damage or loss caused to you where you are not entering into these terms and conditions as a consumer.
4.6 You agree not to give any indication that you have any commercial relationship with the Promoter, or that you are an agent of the Promoter or that the Promoter has endorsed any submission you may make in entering any competition.
4.7 The Promoter cannot promise that the services relating to the competition will be free from errors or omissions nor that they will be available uninterrupted and in a fully operating condition. These services may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons reasonably beyond the control of the Promoter. The Promoter will not be liable to you or to any other person in the event that all or any part of the service relating to the competition is discontinued, modified or changed in any way.
4.8 You agree to reimburse the Promoter in respect of any damages suffered by the Promoter or any losses by the Promoter resulting from any claim made by a third party in each case in respect of any matter arising from your use of the services relating to the competition in breach of these terms and conditions or from your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
5. Standard terms
5.1 In the event that any entrant does not, or is unable to, comply with and meet these terms and conditions, the Promoter shall be entitled at its sole discretion to disqualify such entrant, without any further liability to such entrant. Any entrant must comply with any directions given to him or her by the Promoter including but not limited to any and all relevant laws, rules and regulations.
5.2 These terms and conditions are available in English only and shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England unless the entrant is a Scottish resident in which case that entrant may choose the law of their residence and the entrant irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales again unless the entrant is a Scottish resident in which case the entrant may choose the courts of their residence in Scotland.
5.3 Please note that calls may be recorded to ensure that competition entries are captured, for staff training and quality control purposes.
