(SOLD) This highly collectible, 1968 Fiat Abarth 1300 recently underwent a restoration to show quality and encompasses the original AB204 stamped engine. The restoration included complete disassembly, professional body work and interior restoration including a new headliner and rubber mats. The electrical system, cooling system and water pump were rebuilt with new internal parts and the transaxle was disassembled for inspection. The metal speedometer gear was replaced and a set of 4 NOS Koni Red adjustable shock absorbers were installed. For better driving performance some of the excellent upgrades included a new gear reduction starter, new heat shield and exhaust system heat shielding fiberglass wrap and the exhaust manifold and downpipes were ceramic coated for heat insulation. The gauges and lights are in working order and this Abarth comes complete with an abundance of service and ownership documents dating from 1973 and includes letters to and from the founders of the Abarth Register when the previous owner joined.
