1973-1976 FERRARI 365 BB Boxer specificationshttp://www.classicandperformancecar.comClassic and Performance CarClassic and Performance Car
Having experimented with a small, mid-engined road car in the shape of the Dino, Ferrari went the whole hog with the Daytona’s replacement – the Berlinetta Boxer. The Boxer bit refers to the new engine’s flat-12 layout; all it shared with the outgoing V12 was its 4.4-litre capacity. Keeping with its race car image the whole tail section lifts to reveal the bare bones of the chassis and the engine, which, thanks to its low profile, sits above the transmission. For the first time in a road-going Ferrari the camshafts were belt driven.
