For many the F355 was the last genuinly beautiful Ferrari, and that's why values are still on the up
After the slightly disappointing 348, the 355 signalled a return to form for Ferrari. It had to – Porsche had upped its game with the 911, and Honda’s NSX was challenging the established order. The response moved the junior Ferrari into the supercar league. The much-revised engine had five-valve heads and a 75bhp power increase. It was mated to a slick-shifting six-speed gearbox (later with the option of an automated clutch), and there were electronic dampers and power steering. It was also gorgeous – and prices are now rising rapidly.
