The new Top Gear presenter has entered over 100 lots of automobilia into Bonhams’ Goodwood Revival auction, including seven miniature racing cars
Following the announcement that Chris Evans will be selling off a number of his classic cars at the 2015 Goodwood Revival, the Top Gear presenter has also offered 100 items of automobilia. To be sold with no reserve, all the money raised from these items will go to the BBC Children in Need charity.
One of the highlights is a half-scale, petrol-powered Ferrari 275P. This very cool toy is eligible for the children’s ‘Little Big Mans’ event at the legendary French circuit. It’s estimated to sell for £6000-£8000.
This isn’t the only small-scale car in the sale though. Chris’s collection contains a total of seven mini classics, including an electric F40 and Ferrari F1 car, which are both estimated at around £100-£150.
Some of the older pedal cars, including a Giordani Maserati 250F and F156 Sharknose, are expected to fetch closer to £1000 each. A motorised two-seater Bimbo V12 Racer is also offered, and is expected to sell for £5000-7000.
Toby Wilson, Bonhams Head of Automobilia, said: ‘The Goodwood Revival Sale offers items for all enthusiasts, even young petrol-heads who no doubt will take particular interest in Chris Evans half-size Ferraris and Maseratis.’
The auction takes place at the Chichester circuit, ahead of the much-awaited sale of Evans impressive collection of real cars.
