1998 Ferrari 550 Maranello VIN No. ZFFZR49A3W0113144 Black with Black Leather Introduced as the flagship of the Ferrari line in 1996, the Maranello replaced a long line of mid-engine cars that began with the Berlinetta Boxer and advanced to the Testarossa. Designed to capture the glory days of Ferrari’s legendary front-engine sports cars (most notably the 275GTG and 365 GTB/Daytona), the Maranello arrived to the eager public who welcomed it as a universally beautiful car. The Pininfarina styling evoked all the grace and muscularity of the legendary Ferraris without becoming overstated. The clean and beautifully proportioned body draped over the 485 hp V12 engine and 6-speed transaxle created a delightful harmony of power and grace. This particular Maranello is a low mile black on black example fitted with a Tubi exhaust system, which allows just a bit more performance from the already potent engine while delivering wonderful V12 sounds. This three-owner car was originally delivered to Ferrari of Beverly Hills and subsequently has been thoughtfully maintained throughout the ownership history. The front of the car has a professionally installed clear bra that covers the hood, the fro

We are very pleased to offer one of the most important factory Daytona Spider. First of all this Daytona Spider is the first production car delivered by Ferrari. Second it is just one of only 18 European spec Daytona Spider made at the works having the european spec engine developing more torque compared to the later coming US version. And third this Daytona Spider had been equipped with an optional stainless steel hardtop with two removable targa tops. According to our research there are only three Daytona Spider existing with an optional hardtop. But this is the one and only with the two targa roofs. Beside the stainless steel hardtop it had received by the factory as well the normal softtop frame which has been deliverd to each factory Daytona Spider. In our opinion this Daytona Spider is the most interesting car out of a production run of only 122 cars made in total. The car has a complete history from day one having been delivered to its first owner in Italy. Later it has been from 1975 with a well known owner in Switzerland who sold it to the famous Albert Obrist collection in 1982. Albert Obrist sold it to the Swiss based collector Jürg Heer. Later it was sold to Sweden in t

The Ferrari F355 was built from May 1994 to 1999 and was an evolution of the Ferrari 348. It is a mid-engined, rear wheel drive, V8-powered two-seat coupé. At launch, two models were available; the coupé Berlinetta and the Targa topped GTS. The Spider (convertible) version was introduced in 1995. One major difference between the longitudinal V8 in the 348 and that in the 355, apart from the displacement increase from 3.4 to 3.5 litres, is that the F355 features a five valve per cylinder head that is considerably more powerful, producing 375bhp. The nomenclature does not follow the formula from the previous decades, i.e. engine capacity plus cylinder number for example, the Ferrari 308 name comes from three litres plus eight cylinders, with the same for the 328, 348, 512 etc. This time, Ferrari used engine capacity plus number of valves per cylinder; proud to boast about this technological advancement, with the name 355 coming from 3.5 litres engine capacity and five valves per cylinder. The F355 has become the most popular model so far with over 11,273 cars produced. From a driver's perspective, the Berlinetta will always prove the more popular, the chassis possesses more rigidity
Penned by the Ferrari style centre in collaboration with Pininfarina, the new California T is a sophisticated prancing horse grand tourer with a beautifully ergonomic and sumptuously handcrafted interior. The California T boasts classic Ferrari proportions: the shape of its flanks is inspired by the 250 Testa Rossa’s famous pontoon-fender styling, with the front wing line stretching back towards the compact, muscular rear and bringing an aerodynamic sleekness and movement to the sides. A completely new engine that, in a world first, combines the instantaneous response to commands, blistering performance, impressive torque and signature sound typical of a conventional Ferrari power unit with the fuel efficiency of a turbo. The 3855cc V8 punches out 560 bhp and maximum torque of 755 Nm in 7th gear. Despite delivering an extra 70 bhp and a massive 49% more torque, fuel consumption has fallen by 15% from the previous California. The Ferrari California T offered here at Hofmann’s is a 2015 “15 plate” having covered a mere 5456 miles. This stunning one owner was supplied new by HR Owen South Kensington, London and is finished in Grigio Silverstone with Grigio Scuro Diamond style leather

In 1993 Ferrari launched the 348 Challenge racing series in Europe, a single series gentlemans cup. These cars were standard specification 348's, converted to Challenge spec by an official Ferrari dealer. The factory supplied a Challenge kit, which took 110 working hours to install. This kit included a full OMP rollcage, racing seats and harnesses. Also a fire extinguisher, additional cooling ducts for front and rear brakes, and 18" Speedline magnesium wheels were fitted. The ECU was upgraded to allow 7800 rpm and to deliver 320 bhp, and a lower gearing for 1st and 2nd gear was installed. It was a proper race car, with improved brakes and stiffened and lowered suspension. The example we have now on offer is quite a well known one. Delivered new by Garage Auvergne Moteurs, official Ferrari dealer in Beaumont (France), and immediately converted to Challenge specification for the first owner Mr. Christian Heinkele. He raced the car in the West Series of the 348 Challenge championship during three years, and with good results. In the first year (1993), Mr. Heinkele finished 11th, in 1994 he finished 5th and finally in 1995 he won the championship with his 348. After him, two successive
