1958-1961 FACEL VEGA HK500 specifications

The FVS was uprated in 1959 with a 360bhp 6.3-litre engine, making it one of the most powerful cars in Europe. Even with the power boost, the all-disc brake set-up was standard kit on the HK500 – not what you would necessarily want in a car with such prodigious amounts of straight line performance. Despite that, a perfect flagship for the French car industry, even if the overall dynamics of the HK500 lagged behind the styling and straight line performance. Chrysler power, steering and transmissions mean that parts supply is good. Rare, expensive and hard to find now.
