Auctions America announce bumper entry for Autumn sale
Approximately 1000 cars are set to feature in the Auctions America’s flagship sale, it has been announced.
The Auburn Fall consignment is one of the most hotly anticipated on the classic car auction calendar, with this year’s entry set to feature a 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat, and a 1929 concours-quality Duesenberg Model J Murphy Convertible Coupe.
Last years auction fetched a record $25.9 million in sales, with over 81,500 classic cars enthusiasts attending the sale, with the 2015 edition expected to further those figures still.
Other highlights this year include a 2005 Ford GT (currently in the hands of renound collector Steve Ramsey), showing just over 2800 miles; a well-sorted, concours-quality 1966 Chevrolet L79 Nova, and a 1979 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible, with only 177 miles from new.
'Auburn Fall is a staple on the automotive calendar; it’s the longest running event in collector car auction history, and a tradition that both our team and collectors eagerly await each year,' says Megan Boyd, Car Specialist, Auctions America.
'We look forward to welcoming enthusiasts of all ages back to the Auburn Auction Park, Labor Day weekend, as we celebrate the event’s 45th anniversary – an occasion we’ll mark with our most diverse auction offering to date.'
The auction will take place this year on September 2-6, at Indiana’s historic Auburn Auction Park.
