Among Datsun enthusiasts, there is no bigger name than that of Spike Anderson, legendary creator of ‘Samuri Conversions’. During the 1970s, his modified Datsun 240 and 260Zs found fame on both the roads and tracks around Britain, the most notable of which was ‘Big Sam’ 240Z, which took Win Percy to the British Modsports title. These track derived mods were translated successfully onto the road cars, where more power, more noise, uprated suspension, and dramatic red and gold paintwork made for very fast but comfortable Grand Touring cars. Extremely rare beasts these days, GED 220N is one of only two 2+2 Datsun 260Z Samuris ever made. Subject to a recent comprehensive restoration by marque specialists Z-Farm, GED 220N is finished in correct Nissan 110 Red with Rootes Tango Bronze, and is equipped with a gas flowed head, fast road cam, triple Weber carburettors, and a sports manifold and exhaust system. It is also recognised on the Samuri Register. With a superb exhaust note, fantastic handling, and iconic lines, this beautifully restored Samuri will make for some very enjoyable trips to the pub with the family!
