1978-1981 DATSUN 240K Skyline specifications Classic and Performance Car

Although the Skyline had been around in Japan since 1957, when it was introduced by defunct manufacturer Prince, the UK had to wait until the ‘70s to see what had become Datsun’s big GT. When unveiled in 1978, the straight-six powered 240K was distinguished by its American inspired styling, but following a series of damning road tests that criticised its sloppy handling and excessive thirst, it failed to sell. Datsun quietly pulled the plug, and few remain as a result. A number have since been imported, riding high on the Skyline GT-R cult and vibant scene for Japanese classics.
