This beautifully presented Daimler 250 V8 Saloon has been known to us for fifteen years and has been with its last owner since 2012 covering 2000 faultless miles over five years. The car was supplied new in New Zealand, distributed by Coutts in Auckland and its first owner was a Mr James Owen of Tauranga. In New Zealand the Daimler had long term owners; in fact two over 27 years and in 2003 was purchased by one of our long term customers living in New Zealand at the time. The Daimler had recently undergone a programme of restoration work which included a body restoration and when the owner re-located back to the UK, he brought the Daimler V8 with him.
Between 2005 and 2008 the Daimler was owned by a Jaguar/Daimler enthusiast in the North East of England and the Daimler was very much on the show and rally scene. Various improvements were made to include a new water pump and pulley, a full stainless steel exhaust system, new electric fuel pump and electronic ignition. The Daimler came back to us in part exchange in 2008 and we sold the car to another long term customer, a Yorkshire based lawyer who is involved with the Alvis Owners Club at board level. During three years of ownership
