This stunning Daimler V8250 is a late car, first registered on the 1st July 1969 and has come to us in excellent condition. The car has recently been with a classic car collector with a keen eye for detail and was one of several cars in a collection of superbly presented and highly maintained cars regularly used for shows and classic car events. Over the past twelve years the Daimler has had in the region of £14000 on ensuring this car is not only first class to drive, but also presents in beautiful condition. The expenditure has not been major restoration work, mainly desirable upgrades, parts and general maintenance.
In 2003 over £4000 alone was spent on a 4 speed automatic ZF gearbox enabling the car to cruise at higher speeds with low revs. The car was used on a regular basis between 2003 and 2009 when the car changed hands. More recently further expenditure has vastly improved the car, major work being an engine rebuild in 2010 to include new main and big end bearings. The engine was also treated to new core plugs, valve guide seals, inlet valves and timing chain.
