This first-year, matching numbers 911S electric sunroof example was completed on September 29th, 1966, during the second production month, and finally left the Zuffenhausen-based Porsche factory on October 3rd that same year. The Irish Green 911S was built for its home-market, where the Mannheim-based Islinger Porsche agency delivered it to the first owner, ex-racing driver, Mr. Wilhelm Sebastian of Weinheim, Germany. Sebastian had made a name for himself when he co-drove a Mercedes-Benz SSKL with Rudolf Caracciola to win the 1931 Mille Miglia road race. He was a factory Grand Prix driver for Auto Union in 1934, and later a mechanic for Tazio Nuvolari. How long the Irish Green 911S remained Mr. Sebastian remains unknown, but the cars Kardex reflect that Islinger Porsche serviced the car up until November 1967. The Porsche eventually made its way to the US, where it is believed to have resided in California with one owner for about 25 years. This 1967 911 'S' is fitted with a Becker Europa AM/FM Radio that was converted to digital with a hidden IPod jack, trimmed in '6606' Irish Green over a smart, brown Leatherette interior, with Houndstooth cloth inserts; and shod with Yokohama ti

This is a very stylish and sporty example that is brimming with patina throughout, and a great choice for the enthusiast who is looking for an iconic classic Jaguar sedan they can drive and enjoy now, and gradually improve upon over time as they see fit. The Sedan has benefited from the previous ownership of a longtime Jaguar Owner's Club member and enthusiast who was always sure to keep it mechanically sound, with the ultimate goal of one day performing a full cosmetic restoration to the car's body -- making this a terrific candidate for a full restoration. The Sedan proved to be extremely reliable and comfortable, reporting to have performed optimally in a wide array of conditions. In recent years, the S-Type's engine, suspension and other mechanical components have been rebuilt, and would benefit from a routine tune-up / servicing before hitting the road. While the vehicle exhibits some rust, it is easily repairable and the Sedan's new owner may commission Classic Showcase to perform any restoration work they desire. Don't miss this opportunity to get an affordable classic Jaguar example that will bring you years of enjoyment!
