This first-year, matching numbers 911S electric sunroof example was completed on September 29th, 1966, during the second production month, and finally left the Zuffenhausen-based Porsche factory on October 3rd that same year. The Irish Green 911S was built for its home-market, where the Mannheim-based Islinger Porsche agency delivered it to the first owner, ex-racing driver, Mr. Wilhelm Sebastian of Weinheim, Germany. Sebastian had made a name for himself when he co-drove a Mercedes-Benz SSKL with Rudolf Caracciola to win the 1931 Mille Miglia road race. He was a factory Grand Prix driver for Auto Union in 1934, and later a mechanic for Tazio Nuvolari. How long the Irish Green 911S remained Mr. Sebastian remains unknown, but the cars Kardex reflect that Islinger Porsche serviced the car up until November 1967. The Porsche eventually made its way to the US, where it is believed to have resided in California with one owner for about 25 years. (SOLD) This magnificent numbers-matching 1967 Series 1 4.2 E-Type roadster was the subject of a recent Show/Driver level restoration by Jaguar professionals at Classic Showcase of Oceanside, California. This E-Type was one of the last Series 1s produced before leaving the Browns Lane factory on March 31, 1967, and are the most desirable of the XKE series. Robert and Patricia Polker purchased this E-Type new on April 12, 1967 from Jaguar Cars in New York. It presents in a truly stunning color combination of an Opalescent Silver Blue exterior, fitted with a Dark Blue leather interior that is complimented by a matching Dark Blue soft top and boot. The roadster's body was completely restored, and the bottom of the car was painted in the same color as the exterior of the car for the correctness of the restoration. Once the paint was completed, the car was sanded and buffed to the deep, gleaming shine that you see today.
