A Group B Citroen BX rally car? It was not a success, but is a seriously collectible machine today
Group B has a lot to answer for. And although we all remember the amazing Audi Quattros, Peugeot 205T16s and Ford RS200s, cusriosities like the Citroën BX
4TC have been almost forgotten. This apathy is mainly down to Peugeot's decision to downgrade the 4TC project before its first competitive rallying season in 1986. In its first events, the 4TC proved less than competitive, hampered by its poor weight distribution and unreliability. 200 were built, but the company bought back as many as it could, making this one of the rarest Group B cars.
