1978-1982 CHEVROLET Corvette C3 specifications

The main change for the Corvette’s 25th anniversary year was the adoption of fastback styling for the coupé – no convertibles were built in these years and the Stingray name was gone. The only engine size offered was Chevrolet’s ubiquitous 350ci/5.7-litre small-block, though at least its output had risen over its predecessor. Base models from 1978-80 offer 185-195bhp, with the preferable L82 option ranging from 220-230bhp (also add 30-35% to the price tag). For 1981 and ‘82, only a single version was offered, with 190-200bhp.
