1973-1977 CHEVROLET Corvette Stingray C3 specifications

Corvettes from this era might still look the part, but are more for your ageing rock star. By 1975 output of the base model’s 5.7-litre V8 had fallen as low as 165bhp (though weight had gone up significantly) and the 7.5-litre big-block had been consigned to the dustbin. A year later the poor-selling convertible joined it. That of course means a big-block or convertible (or both) ‘Vette from this era is worth more than a small-block coupé. Strangely, despite all this, sales of Corvettes continued to rise, which also contributes to their bargain prices now.
