2016 Chevrolet Camaro performance details revealed.
Chevrolet has finally revealed performance details of their latest Camaro iteration, ahead of its 2016 release.
The Sixth generation Camaro SS is set to create smoke via 455bhp of Detroit muscle, from a 6.2-litre V8 engine. The Camaro SS will do 0-60mph in 4.3-secs in manual trim, while with the optional automatic gearbox the modern-day muscle car will get there in 4.0-secs.
More importantly for its predominantly American market, the Camaro will run a quarter mile in 12.3-secs, at which point it will be doing 116mph.
Compared to the 2010 fifth generation Camaro, this latest version is weighs up to 177kg less, which should help in the bends as much as it does in a straight line.
The Camaro will go on sale this autumn in North America, with prices starting at $37,295 for the SS.
