car description

Barely two months after the last M-24 light tank rolled off Cadillac’s production line on August 24,1945 the first production car emerged, a lightly updated version of Cadillac’s short-lived 1942 models. Having been starved for new automobiles for almost four years, the American public snapped up new cars as fast they could be built. Thus, for 1947, Cadillac changed little: bigger things were in store for 1948 and even bigger for 1949.
One of the most attractive and unusual bodies in Cadillac’s 1947 luxury Series 62 range was style number 6207, the Club Coupe better known as the Sedanet. Chrome stoneguards on the rear fenders balanced the grille’s horizontal bars and the optional ‘sombrero’ wheel covers. With only 7,245 built out of total Cadillac production of 61,926 for the 1947 model year, the Series 62 Sedanet is rare and beautiful.
