1961-1969 BRISTOL 407/408/409/410 specifications

1961-1969 BRISTOL 407/408/409/410 specifications Classic and Performance Car

Changes in the ownership of Bristol Cars meant that it was now a separate entity to the aeroplane manufacturer. Although that wouldn’t make much difference to the high-quality cars produced, it marked the point when the Chrysler V8 was finally installed under the long bonnet of the 406, giving the elegant sporting saloon the performance to match its looks. With a top speed of over 125mph the Bristol became a credible alternative to Aston Martin and Jaguar. With American muscle under the bonnet, parts and support is also improved.
