1966-1977 BMW 1602/1502 specifications

1966-1977 BMW 1602/1502 specifications Classic and Performance Car

Although overshadowed by their bigger-engined 2002 brother, the BMW 1602 and 1502 can still be great fun

With the ‘Neue Klasse’ doing the business in the executive market, BMW repeated the trick in the small saloon sector with its '02 series models. Despite their relatively high prices, the smaller-engined cars in the '02 range were popular entry-level models, turning on a generation of drivers to BMW ownership – and today, they still enjoy a healthy following. Overshadowed somewhat by the pocket-rocket 2002, the 1502/1602 can be satisfying to own in their own right – if you can find one that isn't riddled with rust. Values holding steady.
