1959-1961 BERKELEY B95/B105 specifications


The evolution of the Berkeley was rapid, and unabated, with the B95 and B105 the ultimate examples of the breed. Power was from a high-compression Royal Enfield Constellation parallel-twin, putting out 50bhp and pushing the car to a top speed of more than 100mph on the 105 model. Roadholding was excellent, as the chassis was easily capable of handling the extra power. However, as sound as the concept was, the Berkeley twins lost out in the market compared with the Austin-Healey Sprite and ended up selling disappointingly.
