This very special S Series Continental with H.J Mulliner coachbuilt body is the first variant of its type and is finished in a beautiful colour of Seychelles Blue with Blue leather upholstery. Interestingly, although the car now is equipped with an automatic transmission, it did leave the factory with a manual gearbox and its believed only four examples in the S1 Continental Flying Spur range were ever built with this option. We can confirm also that this 1 of just 19 ‘D’ Series Flying Spur’s in a total of 167 RHD examples built to Design number 7443.
603 HYP was registered new on the 7 th December 1957 and was supplied in London W1 to the Chairman of a private bank, Brown, Shipley & Co. The Bentley was purchased by Mr Angus MacKinnon Esq as a present for his wife, housed at their Hampshire based property. The Bentley six-light sports saloon was later sold on the 28 th October 1960 to Berkley Square Garages, Berkley Square, London W1.
