1949 Bentley MKVI Standard Steel Saloon

ECX 831 was first registered on 1st July 1949 and was supplied new by Ripon Bros, Huddersfield to Edward Haigh (Wool) Ltd of Leeds. We are pleased to confirm the Bentley still retains its original West Yorkshire registration mark and a great deal of originality. The Bentley still has its correct, original 4.25 litre straight six engine and retains its delightfully aged, original leather seats that are presented in very good order. The Bentley records a mileage of 16,000, believed to be 116,000 from new and this would certainly be commensurate with the original upholstery and sound, strong and largely original running gear.
This example is an excellent driving car with a real honest feel. The paintwork is bright and presentable and in recent years have been treated to a two tone re-spray in Metallic Dark Blue over Silver. There are odd blemishes and imperfections but the body is strong, sound and in very good order. The Bentley is ideal for using on a regular basis; it has a nice aged look and certainly is a good strong usable car and has proven totally reliable since we sold the car over 12 months ago to the last owner in Norwich.
